Good evening, Earthlings!
Monet is happy tonight... The computer is purring like a satisfied cat, and I just got back from the grocery store where I ran into an old friend I had not seen in about six months. She is not a terribly observant person, but noticed I looked different. She said I looked relaxed...well, ok. I would have been happy if she had mentioned thinner, but at least she made it sound like an improvement!
I just ate a pb&j and had a glass of milk. Not a good dinner, but I did not feel like fixing anything else. I was in the car running my son home, then at the store, and I am a bit on the pooped side!
TEENSY: Welcome to the board! Glad you came on in, and joined us! This is a great group, and hopefully you will feel as at home here as on the other board!

Fire away those questions. Everyone here is great about sharing information, and most of them know what they are talking about! tee hee! How are you doing? When I first switched, I ate a lot of triscuits. Someone advised me to not worry about portions as much as sticking to legal foods. That helped me a lot. I did not stuff myself, but only allowed myself to eat what was legal. Once you get that settled, you can worry about the amounts... Gracious is on here too, by the way. She has discovered ebay though, and so we have not seen much of her lately!
TRISH: I can feel your pain...all three of mine had to have braces. The middle one had them twice! The best way to solve her problem was actually surgery, but the orthodontist was a friend of ours, and candidly said he would never recommend putting a child under the knife. He did a great job with the braces, and so far, she has not felt a need to consider the surgery. (she is the married one...) It was painful paying out $100 a month after insurance paid $100, which we ended up doing for five years. At least they won't get TMJ when they get older...I guess I shouldn't feel sad about the stuff I could have bought with that money!
ZANNE: Good for you passing up the chips and cookies! That is so exciting about your adopting a little girl! Girls are so much fun! I hope everything goes smoothly for you!
HEART: Did you share the detox diet you were following? Will you? I would love to see it. Hope your hubby is ok. Sounds like strep, and that is such a pain! I hope it is not mono!
ACW: Good to see you back! I missed you!
SUGARLESS: It can be hard to get back on program. Remove temptations from your cupboards, and make sure you have legal things to snack on to get over the hump. You can do it!
BOB: If you go out to lunch for seafood, will you go to Capt. Bryan's? We are every meal there the four days we stayed in Sarasota two years ago. One of us ordered the fried oysters every time. They were soo good!
JACK: Did you go out for a walk tonight? The weather here in Atlanta was beautiful this afternoon. I actually went out without a jacket tonight! And all my daffodils are blooming! Hooray! Its spring! I just know that once I prune all my roses, it will frost, and kill some of them! Does every year...
SERENE: Good for you drinking your water! Hope you can get on the board more often now! Its good to see you back!
CHRIS: Good for you telling the waitress not to bring you toast and potatoes. The fruit and omelet were probably just fine! I love going out to breakfast! I rarely get sick of eggs!
SOL: That was too funny about the dog not wanting to get her paws wet! My cat hates rain. He is very afraid of thunder, and usually hides under the bed. Its amazing how affectionate he becomes! He never will sit in your lap, but if it is thundering, he will! Such a scaredy cat!
MEESH: I hate when the DSL gets messed up! I am assuming it is all fixed now?
ROSALIE: Good for you, getting your water in! Eventually, if you keep it up, you won't have to go so often. But if I have to get up at night, I usually don't mind. I tell myself it is a sign of losing weight!
Ok, I had intended to try and make it to chat, but I am yawning so much, I might better hit the hay!
