Speaking of the new project, we are staying in a hotel that is about 1.5 miles from the mall. I walked each day to one of the restaraunts for dinner and was able to get 15 miles in since we stayed last night and worked today for a few hours. I will be heading back up Monday morning so I hope to get in 12 miles before I come home....at least I hope to come home next friday!!

GREAT WORK GALS!!

I hope to get some miles in tonight and tomorrow with these mutts that missed me!!

5 on the TM yesterday plus 30 min of yoga. I tried a new (to me) yoga dvd. I think it would be considered intermediate, because it was much more demanding than any I'd done before. It was suppose to be for strength and it just about whiped me out by the time I was done. I really think it will help with my aging upper body strength. I was suppose to do 4 miles today, but I cleaned the basement, cut one son's hair and my hubby's, saw a movie with my daughters, and made a nice meal so, I'm forgiving myself. I have some clearly laid plans for spring cleaning, much needed spring cleaning, before baseball season starts so I may not make my goal this month, but I'm not giving up yet!!!

Today was a big workout day for me! I declared it "Biggest Loser Day" and basically devoted my whole day to various forms of exercise. I even marched in place while watching TV (unfortunately, no pedometer so I can't count that). However, for the challenge, I did 2.76 miles running outside and 5.85 miles on the elliptical (8.6 total).

Great job Laura ~ Lovnmom...get those walks in around the ballfield as the kids practice.

Angie took the dogs on a 4 mile run this morning before I got back home for a short week-end....so I did 3.5 on the treadmill this afternoon watching my UCLA BRUINS win!

Laura, Hope you enjoyed the race.

EZ$, My children practice 4 miles from home. A straight shot down the bike trail. We usually ride there together and then I walk a 4 mile rural route while they practice. Getting my exercise in is much easier in the summer and I enjoy it. The bike rides are a great way to talk and hear things. Almost as good as the car. It's funny how some people think though. I've actually had parents tsk tsk me for "making" my children ride their bikes AND practice. Last summer they were 10 and 11 yrs old. It was a piece of cake for them. As it should be. It isn't all McD's fault our youth are heavy!!!

Liligurl, That's so awesome. I too hope everything flies right along and you are both holding a son before long!!

L, you've been busy. Good job!

I don't have any miles to report, but wanted to pop in anyway. 64 people from my church went to an indoor waterpark yesterday. I had so much fun. Slide after slide with my children. I wanted to talk about this here, because you will understand....I felt so awesome. Other mothers, younger and thinner, wandered around exhausted basically just trying to be patient until the bus took us all home again. Some never even put on a swimsuite. Now, I know people have different personalities, but I can say from experience your level of fitness can be a driving force in what you like and don't like. For many of these women it was obviously just too much work to haul tubes up and the stairs etc....I know, because I've been there. " Mommy's just going to read her book and relax. I'll be right here if you need me." I'm not that mom anymore and I'm so grateful. Thanks for letting me share. I'm hoping to get 7 miles done today. I hope it warms up enough so some of them can be done outside. It's below zero again this a.m. blah!!!
