Hi all, I didn't forget about the challenge, really! I have been running in between adoption meetings and hubby's doctor's appointments...
Adoption front- going strong and getting closer everyday
Hubby's surgery update -
Left hip replacement surgey on May 1st
Right hip replacement surgey on May22nd....it's going to be a FUN summer, for him! All he has to do is recover...I, on the other hand, have to drive him everywhere for 8 weeks, I have to do laundry (HE DOES IT NOW, NOT ME), I have to walk the dogs, the Boxer would be fine but if the Beagle spots a squirrel he's screwed (she would run for the hills) I will be responsible for all grocery shopping and all errands that need to be run, ARRR!
I'm spoiled I know!!! I really do, I know I've had it GREAT for so long that I should welcome the change right? If I keep telling myself this I may believe it in the future, hee hee.
However the only obstacle we face now is the replacement parts are going to be metal on metal (replacemnet for metal is 25-30 yrs) He is having a metal allergy test done in April to guarentee that he will not reject the new hip (parts) If he does test positive for a metal allergy he is having plastic on plactic and will need to be replaced again in 7-10 years because of his age (36).
Obviously we are hoping for NO allergies!!!
He is also donating his own blood for the surgey, so that's a load off our minds.
Ok, Ok ...the running totals for the month are ....74/100

Let me introduce you to pea pod! Groceries delived to the door all you have to do is order them online!

AND find a wash and fold. I have one near the kids school and it is a treat once in a while BUT i do use it when we have a lot of company and I have a ton of sheets and towles or when we come back from vaccation!

GREAT about the adoption stuff! I am very excited for you!

we left NC this moring at 5 am and got home just a little while ago. More junk food than I will admit to right now and the stomach ache to prove it!

Tomorrow will be a long walk as Dixie was with us and it was a long day for her.
I did get 3 miles in yesterday and lots of fetch on the beach so she did fine!
I will add it to my total tomorrow

Crazy work week and my dd's birthday as well. March is a big birthday month in our family. Anyway, I am back on track. I ran 3 miles this morning bringing my monthly total to 28.5/35. I actually missed the exercise.

Happy Easter to all!

After about 3 weeks doing 3 miles I pushed myself to do 3.5 miles today. I am at 32/35 miles this month. I am going to continue at this rate and try to come up with a higher goal for next month.

Have a great day everyone!

lilligurl, I'm so excited for you and your upcoming motherhood .I'm also keeping my fingers crossed for no metal allergies.

EZ$, What can I say ummm I'm so jealous you got to go to games. I had to watch my Badgers at home. I absolutely love this time of year. My children are not playing sports themselves and I can consentrate on the tournaments.

L, Glad to hear you had a good vacation.

It was one wild Holy Week around here. My youngest celebrated his first communion on Thursday. I head up the church youth group and we hosted the pancake brkfst Easter morning. We served 120+ and everything went really smooth. I'll admit I had everything organized quite well and no one except me worked much more than a 2 hour stretch. The kids made some good money towards a trip to New Orleans for next summer. I also had 28 guests for dinner at my home with over 200 eggs hid in the snow for the kiddies. It was a blast! Needless to say I walked very little last week and ate pretty much whatever I wanted. I did get out and do 5 miles alone today plus 4 with a friend and I walked 2 last Mon I hadn't reported. My goals going to be hard to hit, but all in all it's been a good month even if I don't make it. Congrats to those of you who have already hit your goals. Great job!!!
