Happy Spring, everyone! We are in the perfect temperature range right now, but the 80'[s is right around the corner.

Dagmar, the volunteer opportunities sound great! I hope they are both enjoyable.

Happy Spring! I'm going to a yoga workshop today which is a rest and relaxation thing. Soothing teas, essential oils, etc. etc. I've been to one before and it was really calming. That's something most of the world could use right now I think.

That's a good one, Bill The Americans that haven't been paying attention are in for a rude awakening soon.

Back up to 151 lbs. I haven't been taking the calorie reduction seriously enough, Purging all the snacks from my office and the TV room and I'm going to stick to a bowl of fruit and a low fat yogurt cup in the evenings. At Easter I will have some good chocolate - already ordered from Toronto - but it will be a modest amount.

150 lbs. this morning. Have given up my bag of chips per week hoping that helps. Holly and I are also able to walk a bit more now that the snow has mostly melted.

I'd forgotten about snow. I now believe in SUMMER. (Overnight freezing temperatures, notwithstanding.)

Spring has finally started to arrive here. There is a hint of warmth to the air in the early mornings, rather than the sting of winter. I'm negotiating with contractors to get the sliding doors installed and a deck built. Hoping that happens so that the pets and I can go outdoors easily and enjoy the summer. I also have all the plants picked out for the garden in the front and I have little skewers delineating the bed. Bought my mulch too.

That's a big leap from walking in the snow to planning a deck to enjoy the outside air. Good luck with your contractors. If tension about having work done caused weight loss, new deck doors would lose at least five pounds, LOL.

Wow, Dagmar. Planning a deck is a great way to welcome in the warmer weather! I've been getting a lot of exercise, but my weight hasn't dropped.

Bill, I need major stress to cut my eating. Like a lost animal or something. Stress from dealing with people just makes me eat more.

I'm the same as you Alice re eating and stress. Hubby and I spent 6+ hours at the local ER yesterday for a quick look from a doctor and a prescription for a quite minor complaint he's had for a while. I was along as food/pee break back up since they can't make appointments. One of us had to be in the waiting room in case they called him. Miss the call and it's another 3-4 hours minimum. I don't think we'll ever find a GP here for lots of assorted reasons so we have to clog the ER when we need to see a doctor for non-emergency stuff. We both overate in the evening and I even requested ice cream when he went to pick up the prescriptions. Bah!

No change. Holly and I are starting to go for longer walks. Her shoulder is holding up well. My volunteer gardening starts next Sunday - Hoping to meet some people and share their gardens with them.
