I'm 5'6", 286 and wear a 22W. They're starting to get baggy, so I guess that's a plus. I tend to wear a 24/26 (isn't it weird that they use dress sizes for even casual tops at the big girls' stores?!) in women's tops because I'm pretty busty and don't like to look like I'm about to fall out! Also, I can't stand when they're clingy on my rolls. In the past when I've been down to about 180, I can usually wear a 12 in most stores.
The range of weights and sizes in this thread is nuts! Really interesting to see, though.
yeah I agree Viviane, it really is crazy! It just goes to show you that you can't really predict what your body will turn out like in the end or as you progress through your weight loss. Which can be a good and bad thing I suppose. It's interesting to see all people with similar height and weight being at completely different sizes!!
lori: haha thanks! I knew there was one some where!!
Height and body type play such a major part in it and some people are just smaller than others regardless of weight. At 268 I was a size 26 I think. >>>>
I am a mere 2 inches taller than you, and at my highest weight of 265, I never wore larger than an 18w, mostly 16w. Now, at 230, I wear a 'regular' 16. It is quite interesting how different body shapes can be.
Now, I have a pair of size 12 shorts from 1993 :-)....it will be interesting to see how the nowadays-size compares, when I can fit back into them!
I'm 5'6 and 206 lbs im sitting at a 16, i think? it depends on the brand..
i'm in a 34 jean but they are FALLING off of me just about, a LG in exercise pants from walmart which are starting to pretty loose...and i'm in a Snug 16 jean? so i dont know what size i am really.
I'm 5'4, somewhere around 155 pounds (I haven't weighed myself in about 2 weeks and my eating has been all over the place). I'm a medium on top, and a size 8 in skirts/shorts from the Gap and J. Crew (I haven't tried on a pair of pants since I was about 180 lbs and then I tried on a 12, I think?). I had to give away my size medium elastic band skirt from Gap because it was too big! Sizes really are crazy things.
I just bought some Old Navy dresses that were XL (wow!).
I wear a 5 in the "Right Fit Blue" pants and anywhere from a 18-26 in most everything else at Lane Bryant. That's quite a range, I know, but those are the things I have that fit me!
I'm 260 lbs, and a size 20, 18 in some brands. I am 5'3. I am pear shaped. So my pants will always be a few sizes off from my shirts. Which I am completely okay with. :P
