What size are you?
I am pretty sure this has already been a thread some where, but I can't seem to find it and I was wanting to bring up the topic again. I was wondering just what size everyone is? I know a majority of it is body type etc, but I still can't help but wonder what size I'm going to be when I get to a certain weight. It seems like my size isn't changing!!!
First off, I'm 5'8 and I my highest weight was 310. At 310, I was wearing a size 24, but they were getting very tight! haha. Now I have lost 52 pounds and I can still wear my size 24, but they are getting very baggy and I need a belt to hold them up. I am in a 22 now, but am kind of saddened by this because I thought I would have been down more sizes than just 1 with over 50 pounds!
Has anybody else experienced this? What size are you?

Ashley - sizes have more pounds and inches between them in plus sizes. When you get down into misses sizes, the number of pounds you need to go between sizes goes down pretty dramatically. It took me 40 lbs to get from 22-20, but 5 lbs from 10-8 (which is my current size).

I'm 222 and a misses size 18 (with a couple of generously cut 16s sneaking in there) in pants and mostly a womens 2X in shirts but still wearing a few 3X that are cut to be more snug so they fit me a little more loosely. My 1X tops fit me but I am self conscious about my bulges and do not like to wear tops that are that body conscious.
I am pretty surprised that you wore a 24 at 310 lbs, that seems like a very small size for that weight to be honest! I started about the size you are now, and it took me about 30 lbs to go down a size in pants (I was in misses 20s when I started). I agree with Mandalinn that when you start off in plus sizes, it can take a long time to see a change!

You are going to get an insane spectrum of answers on this. Height and body type play such a major part in it and some people are just smaller than others regardless of weight. At 268 I was a size 26 I think. So that alone tells you something, but you are taller than me so we're just different. Also in the begining it takes a lot longer to change sizes. Someone once compared it to a role of paper towels. When you first start taking sheets away you can't tell, but towards the end each layer makes the role look smaller. Right now I'm 159 and I size 10/12 and maybe 10lbs ago I was a 14. I think it will only be about 5 more lbs to put me into a snug 8.

I'm 5'4" and now weigh 207. My size 20 jeans are getting a little loose but I don't think 18 will fit quite yet, though I may go buy a pair just to see how much it takes to get them to fit. Once I ever FINALLY get to 16 and 14 and 12, I have plenty of those already. I don't know what fruit shape I am, 'cause I think it's more like a beach ball..quite roundy right now. I gained almost everything in my mid-section. My pants are all baggy in the butt and snug in the waist...grrr!

I'm 5'5.5" and 188 lbs. I'm a size 13/14 in jeans but they are loose everywhere but the waist! Every part of my bottom half is a size 12 but my waist/hips. Those love handles won't budge. I was a size 16 all the way up to 225 lbs and the size 14 didn't happen until about 195 lbs. For tops I am usually a Large. Sometimes a Medium. I'm guessing in about 5 lbs I will always be a medium. It really depends on the clothing too. Some brands make clothes way different than others.

Funny. I am exactly your height and weight and I was reading this thinking "Dang it, I wish I were a 13/14, that would be sweet. Why does she get to fit in such small pants at my weight?" There was some serious jealousy, and then I remembered that I wear a 12/14 these days. After all those years at 26-28, the fact that I have 12s I can wear (though the 14s fit better) just blows me away. I am a large in shirts, and extra-larges are not too big, for the most part. Mediums are still a way away.

I'm 236lbs and I'm a size 18 (irish size ) size 16 in the us. I think that is somewhat smaller then most wear at my weight but I was graced with an even enough weight distribution (granted my stomach is the fattest part of me!)

I'm about 5'5 and 175 pounds. Currently am wearing size 13 juniors and large tops. I'm an hourglass, so my waist isn't very big. I was a juniors size 15 when I started at 190 pounds.
