It's so different for everyone isn't it? I am 5'2 (and a half for those counting). I am 159.5 lbs as of this morning. Right now wearing a comfortable size 12 pants and a L shirt that shows my bulge but not enough for me to worry about it. ALL of my weight is in my middle.
I think that part of that has to do with my <3 for bourbon. My butt looks lacking in my pants - it's the waist part that I have to contend with. *sigh*
I am 5'6" and 235 lbs. I am currently in a comfortable size 18, but I squeezed into my 16's the other day...even zipped and buttoned them, but there was no way I was going to be comfortable in them. Also, Old Navy are just about the only jeans that fit me right. They fit me below my natural waist but also fit in my butt and thighs. Most plus size or women fit clothes are too baggy in the the butt and legs.
I am 5'3 and 105lbs. I wear a size 0 or 1, depends on the brand. When I was 125lbs. I remember wearing a size 8, how thrilled I was. At my starting weight of 173, I was wearing a size 14 or 15, so being in a size 8 felt good, but a size 0 is a much better feeling for me.
I'm 5'8" and 200 lbs. I'm in a 16 (14 depending on the brand). I've been in a 16 for a while. This is the size I was in when I weighed 225. I wear a L shirt (used to be an XL was snug). It is crazy how the sizes are so varied for people that weigh just about the same! I know that height plays a big role and how proportionate we are. I have a muscular build with my fat being distributed all over the place. I'll be excited to get into a 12. Haven't been there since Jr. High???
I'm 5'4 and at my highest weight of 227 I was an 18/16. I'm 217 now and am not sure if that's changed.
I've been a size 12 for most of my adult life so when I got to my lowest weight of 133, I would not buy anything lower than a size 10. I probably could have rocked an 8, but I thought there was no way I could be that thin even as my pants were sliding off when I walked. I just bought a lot of belts instead. Sizes mess with my mind so much.
I am 5'4" and 188 (I still can't believe I'm typing a 1 - much less an 8 after it!!)
I am an hourglass shape.
I just got into a size 12. It's still a tiny bit snug, like the way my size 18Ws were fitting at 241! My size 14 jean capri's are getting a bit baggy, but I'm still wearing them until I just HAVE to move down.
In shirts I'm just now moving into a size L or 12/14. I'm still wearing my few XL's I bought and they're not too terribly baggy yet. But several months ago I bought some size L's on the clearance rack and thought it would be impossible to be that small again! Now they're starting to fit! Of course around home, I'm still wearing some of my old size 2X t-shirts and they're really big LOL!
It took a long time for me to move from 18W into size 16 regular (no W). Like 30 pounds worth. I think those plus sizes are evil - they accomodate for too much weight gain w/o moving sizes. So therefore it takes a lot longer to get out of them and move down. But believe me, when you get out of W's you will zoom through sizes. It's expensive - that's why I only have one pair of pants LOL.
It won't be long and you'll be zooming through sizes too! You're nearly there.
I'm 5'6 and 180 lbs. I wear have jeans in a 12, 14, and 16 that fit me. I was so excited that i managed to zip up a pair of 12's but then I went to a diffrent store a few days later and those 12's were not even close to zippering. Its annoying how much sizes vary from store to store.
Hey farn~HUGS!
I am 5'& 5.5 "
I am 155.6 (yippie New low)
Wear 6 in womens In jeans & 7 jrs. in Jeans & some 4 's (only if there stretchy denim 4's)
Wear small & medium in tops.
Wear small to XS in dresses....Or size 8 if there sized by number.
But 8 pants & jeans are way to big on me.
I can copy & post a thing to a thread I started a long time ago in a sec for u to look at too it has pages of sizes shaped ect.~i was 200's still then I think & wearing 18 then maybe But I will paste it on here BRB!
OK I found it & pasted the shortcut to it below What size do you wear because..... Just click it..HUGS FARN!
OK here it was.....I was at 228 at the time and wearing 18 & 17 jr.(I had lost 31 pounds already then & I started out in a 20 W That was so tight I needed a 22)
Now I am the above sizes.
I can wear 14W, 14, 16, and Misses 18 depending on the brand. A few days ago I zipped a pair of 12s, but I would not say that they "fit". I'm thinking I'm 25 lbs from wearing a 12 comfortably.
At 295 I was busting out of 24s and owned some 4xs and 26s...
I shopped exclusively plus departments for 20 years and am overwhelmed and confused by the world of normal sized clothes.
