Thank you "Keepin", for the knowlege and the attitude adjustment.

(laughing to myself: Does your friend who drinks the 220 ounces DRINK it or push around a IV pole? Lame joke, I know. I am just blown away and have to laugh that I was worried about 112 ounces.) heh.
That is so funny Skinny! I had actually made the same joke to a fellow MRC friend. I am practically in the bathroom every 30 minutes with just 80 oz, I can't even imagine drinking 220! I started May 1st, and am gradually increasing my water daily ~ looks like I have a long way to go. Like you said, H2O and I are about to become good friends. I like to add an orange slice or a lime slice for a little change. Although I just read that this if off program... I can't imagine that it would be that bad.

Cheers!

Really....wow....what is in lemon that would interfere with MRC? I guess I will ask that when I join...it has helped me so much since it seems easier to drink all that water.

Does anyone worry about losing the weight so fast on MRC, that is won't stay off when you are done with MRC? Just curious...all the diets I have done and read about, they always say losing fast is not good and will not stay off...curious to hear from you on this.

Not really worried, Fifties Lady.

I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

I do & I have mentioned this. I honestly think that its not good for me to lose any more than 2lbs per week for a couple of reasons. 1. If I lose more than that it's because I am depriving myself of too many foods that I normally eat. While I know this is probably a good thing, it's not realistic to think that for the rest of my life I'll never eat a slice of pizza. 2. I think the pressure of that is too much for psyche. It's mostly a mind thing for me.

Default Sknymom2b, I am in Littleton also

I tried to send you a private email, but I haven't posted 10 times yet, so it won't let me.

I do better with a "buddy". Wondering if you want to be my "buddy"? I am taller, a little less to lose, but not much less. I go to the center at Wadsworth and Yale. I joined about 10 days after you. I am going to the center tonight for a food demo on Asian food. (MRC style)

Sorry everyone else. Don't mean to hi-jack the thread. No other way of getting her a message right now.

In regards to adding lemon (or other things) to your water, what they told me was that anything added to water gives your body one more thing to process before it gets to using the water for it's itended use. So if you put lemon in your water, your body first wants to process the lemon and may end up processing some of the water in a way that doesn't help with weight loss.

Thank you for responding about the lemon. I guess it's the way MRC explains it, so it makes sense.....I just didn't think Lemons had much of a value so it wouldn't matter. Oh well....I had better start weaning myself off the lemons now.

Default Yay! I may be over my water retention problems.

I weighed in tonight, showing a loss for the first time. Only 2.6 pounds, but I'll take it!! When I weighed in this past Monday I showed a gain due to the water retention. So this is real progress! I'm happy, happy, happy.

I know I have lost inches, at least in my fanny, because these jeans have saggy-butt, and they were snug!

YAY MRC, and YAY to all of you who told me to drink more water. I am up to 150 ounces, but I have to stay up to Midnight to get it all down....and I get up 4-5 times a night. The center said it takes 3 weeks for your body to adjust to the water, and then you don't have to "go" so much.

Well whatever. I'll take the weight loss over the interrupted sleep.

Default I forgot in my post above...

The center was having samples of Asian Food, they had prepared using MRC products. It was delish! Tasted like regular food. Now I am new, but I am afraid if I eat something that tastes like regular food and makes more than 1 serving that I will over-eat.

I am being so strict, I am afraid to "loosen-up". When I am sure that my weight loss will continue, I think I can be more flexible....I hope so. I have had such a rough start. Now I am a little nervous.

I tend to be a perfectionist, and I tend a little towards OCD. I would rather be bored to tears with what I eat, so I won't over-eat it. I spent so much on this program, it feels like way too early to start screwing around.

Any advice for me? Have I gone all OCD here? (No offense intended to those with OCD diagnoses. It is the only way I know how to describe my behavior. OCD runs in my family, and I try to be alert to signs that I may be "in trouble". So I am not making fun of the OCD diagnosis, not in any way.)

Hey SkinnyWallet - I go to that center too Although I live a lot closer to the Highlands Ranch one, but the Lakewood center is the one sponsoring me. I can always use one more person to be accountable to.

I have done the Asian Meatballs which were great next week I am going to try something similar but use the orange and make an orange chicken
Great job on the loss, btw.

Hey Skinny!
I go to the highlands ranch center... I have a friend that signed up at your center, she really likes it there. I don't have many posts yet either. It would be great to have another buddy, I guess we will have to wait till we can get each others e-mails. Glad to hear you had a loss, way to go!

I wanted to introduce myself. I am Amy, and I joined MRC last week. I received my menu on Friday. Weighted in on Monday with a 3.5 lbs loss!!! So far I have not been hungry and have been able to drink all my water without a problem. I'm going to weigh in tomorrow and see how the last few days have went. I need to start the exercise portion, though

Hey I go to Highlands Ranch too! Maybe we've seen each other before. How do you like the counselors there?

Default Walden Farms

I ordered some single serving salad dressing packets from Walden Farms' web site as I'm going out of town for 10 days and figured this was the only way I wouldn't be sabatoged by restaurant dressings. I also ordered their barbecue sauce and mayo. I just tried the barbecue sauce, and it's really good! I managed to cook some really flavorless chicken, and the sauce saved it. Our stores locally don't carry all the the Walden Farms products, so FYI in case you haven't run across their barbecue sauce and miss that particular condiment. I haven't tried the mayo yet.

Also, if you haven't tried their syrup or dressings, they're really good, too. I don't like the Ranch quite as much as Thousand Island or Creamy Bacon, but I don't think I've ever liked a Ranch dressing that isn't the 'real thing'. All the Walden Farms products are fat, sugar, carb, and calorie free, by the way. Unfortunately the stores around me don't carry many of their products. One carries the dressings, and another has the syrups (maple and blueberry). Give them a try if you're struggling without condiments. I wish they were cheaper, but...oh well. Nothing about this is cheap!
