yes as long as they are no sodium. You could do fresh, frozen, or canned no sodium.. This is what I was told..

    Cheers!

  • thanks ronnie

After you're done with the blue, you'll be put on the green and you'll stay on that menu until you reach your goal weight

So since mine was white...(which I copied on purple paper just to look pretty on my frig) I think I will be on that for a very long time....I should know this menu blindfolded in another week!!! Which I may have to use for my eyes the next time I sit down and try to eat an egg!!! Just can barely do it anymore.

Yes you started out the same as me. I was on the beige menu until I hit around 200 (it's supposed to be 199.5). After that, you'll be on the green menu. I honestly haven't looked at my menu in weeks.
  • so when u get on your final menu is there more food selection?

Fifties Lady, I keep meaning to ask if you like egg salad? i often have 2 hard boiled eggs mashed up with MRC mayo &/or dijonaise and spices with my toast. Sometimes I use just seasalt and pepper, sometimes curry and cumin. Makes a nice change on hot mornings.

Yes, there are longer lists of foods to choose from in the different categories. I think the originators did not take into consideration different ethniticities though - I'm sure there are other foods from other cultures that would qualify in some of the categories. MRC has been around 20 years or so - maybe someday soon they will go global and we can get even more choices!

ReuseLady...now that may be a great tip....I will have to check that one out...I will make the MRC mayo this weekend, because I heard at cooking class that it is great. Does the mayo count as anything in the morning?
  • thanks reuselady! i know what u mean about the ethniticities..... i am Italian and its killing me not to have pasta thats the one thing that i feel like i might not be able to stick to but i keep on telling myself I CAN DO THIS!..... before this diet i cooked almost everything with pasta!!! ( but i did use whole wheat pasta)

Spaghetti Squash is a good substitute for spaghetti pasta...
  • Welcome to all the newbies!
So many new people, it's great. Yes Fifties Lady, you might currently hold the record for questions, but as someone who joined when you first started asking all those questions you helped a lot of people. Maybe someone will give you a run for your money and try to take that record for themselves.

I find it odd that some have mentioned being on several different menu's for a few days at a time, then finally settling on one. When I started I did the preconditioning, the biege until 200 and now the green. I wonder what the differences are and why some have started that way. Anyone know the answer? Just curious.

    Have a great day everyone!
  • i really dont like squash is it different in Spaghetti Squash?
