lol, just because I am from Minnesota means I should have chicken wild rice soup recipe???? lol Yeah, I have it here somewhere, I will look for it. I also have a low cal one that I used when I was on WW. It is very good. It will take some digging around, but I will find it.

I'm wondering why no one has asked for my Tater Tot Hotdish recipe...hmm It's a MInnesota thing!

This is one I have used in the past, it is from All Recipes.com That is where I originally got it. IT IS VERY GOOD!!!! They WW one I am looking for uses canned 98% FF Cream of Mushroom soup. Still looking.

* 1/2 cup butter
* 1 finely chopped onion
* 1/2 cup chopped celery
* 1/2 cup sliced carrots
* 1/2 pound fresh sliced mushrooms
* 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
* 6 cups chicken broth
* 2 cups cooked wild rice
* 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cooked and cubed
* 1/2 teaspoon salt
* 1/2 teaspoon curry powder
* 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
* 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
* 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
* 1 cup slivered almonds
* 3 tablespoons dry sherry
* 2 cups half-and-half

Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir in the onion, celery and carrots and saute for 5 minutes. Add the mushrooms and saute for 2 more minutes. Then add the flour and stir well. Gradually pour in the chicken broth, stirring constantly, until all has been added. Bring just to a boil, reduce heat to low and let simmer.
Next, add the rice, chicken, salt, curry powder, mustard powder, parsley, ground black pepper, almonds and sherry. Allow to heat through, then pour in the half-and-half. Let simmer for 1 to 2 hours. (Note: Do not boil or your roux will break.)

Scale won't budge. And I hate my scale, its the Taylor digital that never gives you the same reading twice....well today it did. 222....222....222....222....no matter where I put my feet or put it on the floor. ARGGGGGGG!

*Debbie - NO need to apologize, I thought it was funny. I can't find that dang WW recipe though. It was years ago when I used it.

*Stevi - I have the same type of scale, it drives me crazy! Which number do you use to determine your actual weight. The low, high, or do you weigh yourself a few times and average them?

Don't worry, the scale will move soon. (maybe it is having a little computer glich) hee hee. Blame the scale!! Maybe have someone else weigh themselves on it and see if it makes a difference.

Wow~there has been a ton of activity. Sure everyone posts when my electricity is out. They were working on it all day first it was off , then on, off and back on. I am hoping for it to stay on, because if it goes off again overnight, the house gets too stuffy. and it is too humid to turn the air off now. YOu all sound like you are doing great!!!!

I am in the same boat as Stevi~the scale does not want to move! BUt I know that when it does, I will drop quite a few at once.

((hugs)) to all!!

Hi Ladies (no men?),

I'm new to 3fc and this seems to be the perfect thread, so I'll join you. How many folks have met their 200 lb goal then disappeared?

Probably like most of you, I never thought I'd go over the 200 mark , but here I am. My home scales have me at 213, but official scales (doctor, YMCA) say 218, so that's what I'm recording. I'm going to try to get to 199 by October 1.

I've been dieting off and on forever, and hovered around 175-190 lbs. until surgical menopause in 2001. I also had chemotherapy and felt cheated that I didn't get the perk of weight loss (if you're going to have chemo that's the one thing to look forward to). But no, my treatment typically leads to weight gain so I've ballooned up from 170 to 220 in the past 5 yrs. I'm mostly happy to be cancer free, so I became more forgiving of my weight. However, it's getting uncomfortable and extremely hard to find clothes in normal stores, so I'm attempting to lose again and feel uncharacteristically confident that I can do it.

I'll try to catch up through reading the older posts. Good luck to everyone!

Heritage~ You are VERY ambitious! This thread is 2+ yeasr old and has 261 pages! Phew! I'm good with startin' here....
Ellen~ I'll have to go look when but I had a signifigant drop (3.5lbs) last time but I plateau'd for 3 weeks before!
I had to stay home today with my baby boy due to geting his shots (make hima lil sicky) so no exercise today. Prolly for the best my foot is nearly healed!

overcast today....................Just like me.LOL!!
Yoga class was almost painful. I am in really bad shape apparently. It could have been the 5 hours of sweeping, vacuuming and mopping tho. Feeling bad about letting myself go physically.

Hospital called. They want DD back in. They have decided her pinky is fractured.( she was playing on top of the freezer and fell off).They thought it weas broken, then just bruised..........................another 3 hours in emerg for us....................

I set my alarm for 6:30. DIdn’t get out of bed til 7 but better than 8 as kids are coming in the door. DD was up til after 10pm in bed playing.

I am freaking out that July is almost over. It doesn’t seem i accomplished very much this month.

I have 2 weeks til our international houseguests arrive. I hope I can get things nice.
Much to do every minute of every day between now and then.

After breaky, shower and the kids arrive I will clean the diningroom and then do Avon!!!

Adding on............................Hubby went to Japan in 1987 to visit his then girlfriend who was teaching English there and stayed a few months. S was an english student of hers. He and Hubby became friends. S ended up coming here and living with Hubby in London for 2 years. They have kept in touch ever since. S came to be our best man in our wedding 7 years ago. He married 4 years ago and has a 3 year old daughter. We have never met Naomi or Riku. He flys to the states regularly for business and often we will meet near a border but this time his wife a daughter are coming. They will be in LA but coming here for 4 days and then back to LA for another weeks work. Pretty awesome.

I, of course, want the house to lok nice but......we are always mid reno somewhere. Our house was built in 1960 and still had panelling and shag carpet and god awful slider windows etc.We have done so much work and totally enjoy but right now we have a stairwell ripped out. The upstairs bathroom was completley gutted and is almost done. The gardens are pretty weedy too because i have been working so much . That is a labour of love if i can make the time......some days I just want a nice, simple, tidy( maybe even clean) home for longer then 3 minutes.

I was monumnetally disappointed but the things I found destroyed in the basement and then hid or pushed to the sides. My helper has been supervising with the kids down there. I have asked that things be put away at least.........
