I heard once and wrote it down but never tried it, OFF5 will get 5% off from Nashua.

Be careful with shipping times now. A lot of things on the east coast were affected by hurricane Sandy and now the noreaster that's hitting. There are still places without power. My bf's SIL is up there as he is a generator specialist.

Besides the cheesecake that I passed on to Rainbow and she created great things from, I still love the chocolate chip and marshmallow pudding and I'm not even a pudding person. All other puddings get made into shakes. Oh, and I made fabulous cookies from the chocolate chip and marshmallow pudding, just didn't measure anything so I can't write down and post the recipe. Next time I will try to measure and post it.

Has anyone tried the proti-thin fusilli noodles? Can this be used as one of our daily packets on phase 1?

That actually looks really good as a packet option - 20g protein, 7g carbs (5g net carbs) so it's unrestricted, 130 calories - I'd be very curious how they taste!

this is MY opinion,
YES....i have tried this and YES i believe it is ok to use and it is not even a restricted.

it also makes a good sized portion!!!!!

the noodles are large and cook up just like regular pasta, and have a more dense texture and are very good.

i made meatball stroganoff, pasta marinara and a cold pasta salad.
dh even liked it!! i have ordered it again and will keep it on hand as it truly is a treat of pasta and that is a rare thing on IP!!!!

i used this pasta sauce as an alternative
http://www6.netrition.com/bella_vita...auce_page.html
1/4 cup gives the past a good coating!!

hope that helps a little!!

ps....i tried the skinni spaghetti....and it is truly awful and i threw it in the garbage!!!

Me too! But I am not buying anymore product except a couple IP items at WI tomorrow. I need broccoli cheese soup and southwest cheese curls.

Oh, be sure to post the recipe when you make the cookies again! I like the chocolate chips and marshmallows, and I'd be interested in finding new things to do with it

I've had these and I agree with Rainbow - they are pretty good. They don't taste like regular pasta, but more like the whole wheat/fortified pasta. The portion looks small in the bag, but once you cook it, it's a decent size. My favorite thing to do with them is make a cold pasta salad for lunch. Yum.

So, my next question is, when adding a sauce or other addition to a daily packet you are adding carbs. For example the bella vita pasta sauce has 4g of carbs per serving. Does any one know how many carbs we should have daily? I like to add veggi cheese to some of my meals and depending on which flavor you get you could add carbs. I don't want to make a speg dinner using the packet, bella vita sauce and veggie cheese and end up going over the daily carb allowance. Any ideas on what the carb limit is?
