i eat chicken noodle soup about every other day!! i get the protidiet and that is my favorite.
ITA re protidiet chicken noodle soup. I've had it twice this week for lunch. When I eat the creamed soups (tomato basil, green pea, or cream of chicken) I blend the veggies in with it. I love it, but sometimes I feel like crunching on a salad at lunch. And then a chicken noodle soup pack really fills the need. Plus to me it tastes very much like regular chicken noodle cup-a-soup.

I love The Simply Bar. I'm glad I found them available as singles though at my local BulkBarn, because I find them a bit too tempting. I've learned that it's not smart for me to stock up on boxes of bars - just too tempting. I'm better off if I just buy a few as singles for a 'treat' from time to time.

Sounds like you're set for quite some time. One thing though, we'll always be able to use up our surplus stock while in maintenance, as we return to do our Phase 1 days along the road.

Another reason to join Costco. I'm really going to have to investigate....

I've just started making the bark as the nightly snack, so now I have to go back and buy pudding mixes. So I have absolutely NO reason to quit. It will cost me more money TO quit.
That's one way to motivate yourself. By the details of your order, it sounds like you're well aware of the products that you enjoy.... so you'll look forward to it

My goal was to always make the food be the food. I am cooking for at least 7 people every night so I cook one meal. I gave up a very clean, whole food diet to do IP. So everyone was already on board with eating clean. Although my kids definitely eye my soy puffs and the chocolate bark.
Eve, I have trouble with the bars too. I was so excited the other night when my order came and there was one sample bar. I ate it right away. If there had been a box of them, I would have finished the box!
They probably did but I'm a dope and threw it out. I looked through the website and it looks like it's Healthsmart brand--either one that it could have been is OK nutritionally except I don't know if it was aspartame free or not. Ah well.
If you go on the Nashua website, there is a link on the right hand side for "samples"- you can view the current and previous samples. Unless you got a "grab bag", you should be able to see what brand the sample was.
Halfagain, you look awesome!
I am going to be posting a list this weekend of things I have available for trade. They include maple oatmeal, pancakes, and broccoli soup- so if you like those things, watch this space!
Evepet, the gas discount alone is reason enough to join Costco!
Does anyone have suggestions for alternative puddings that work well in the packet recipes?
I found the actual Ip ones worked better in the recipes on here than alternative ones seem too. I am thinking of making the chocolate bark in particular.

After reading about it here earlier tonight, I ended up making chocolate bark for my evening snack. I've always liked a chocolate & coffee combination, and found it very tasty. Plus I loved the fact that it gave me something to munch on for so long... took me at least an hour to finish it. All those trips back and forth to the freezer every time I was ready for a fresh piece gave me more exercise! I'm thinking a butterscotch pudding would also be good with the instant coffee granules in it? Hmmm... next time around.

What pudding did you use? i know you use alternatives so was glad to see that it worked.
I love the Simply Bars. I like the lemon coconut the best, but I've only tried those and the chocolate peanut ones. I ordered them from Amazon. It's about time to order more :-)

Pat
Pat, I used a ProtiDiet chocolate pudding packet. Worked just fine. I didn't use quite a cup of water - more like 3/4 cup. Apart from one big order early on from Doctors Best Weight Loss, I've stuck with alternative product packets that I've been able to order from proteinwell.ca and things that seemed reasonable choices from thelowcarbgrocery.com and lowcarbcanada.com. Supplemented with suitable protein bars and powders that I've found locally.

Me too - lemon coconut is my favorite. I'm going to walk to my local Bulk Barn tomorrow and get a few. Yum yum --- jicama, a juicy steak... and a The Simply Bar tomorrow. Lots to tempt my taste buds
I've done the chocolate/coffee one with the IP packet. I picked up vanilla, milk chocolate, and butterscotch packets. I thought that I read a recipe that uses butterscotch with pumpkin pie spice.
Today I am going to try a WLS cheesecake. Maybe I'll add cocoa. Or pumpkin pie spice. Or coffee. I haven't quite decided.

I got my order today and there was a little white slip in with the samples. Don't remember one being there last time, but it's something to look for
