Hey ann! Awesome news!! I hope to keep motivating u thru this, and back to full recovery. Hang in there, find your inner strength again, and take each day at a time bringing new successes and overcoming challenges everyday

Just a quick rant...sorry to destroy the positivity...but why can't I stop eating nuts? So good but so bad (calorie wise)?!

I need to quit them. I am declaring it to the world now. I quit nuts!

Its TOM! No wonder these past two days have been tough for me.I gained 2 pounds since monday! Geez, not gonna make st pattys day goal, but will do my best to stay on track today and tomorrow, pretty much the rest of the week for monday weigh in.

I made a new ultimate goal and timeline for myself. This is based on 2 pounds per week with some room for mistakes and going off track (comfort factor). So by June 25 I will reach my goal weight. Hopefully! I really need to focus on this and give it my all.

Private message me if anyone would like to know the method I used to figure out this goal and timeline. It's from dr. ian's book.

Well hope this day goes well for u all. Talk soon!

Happy St. Paddy's Day!

Well I'm sorry to say I did not meet my goal. I have a miserable cold. Started Tuesday night and just got worse from there. I haven't worked out because it is hard to breathe just walking at the moment. I am staying on plan (low carb) but what is the point of being able to eat bacon when you can't taste it and enjoy it? Then I weighed myself yesterday and it said 169.4 on the scale. I hardly ate anything yesterday. A late breakfast, and then dinner. Not trying to skip meals but not hungry cause I'm sick. The thought of food made my stomach turn. Then I weighed myself this morning and 170.4. Maybe I gained one pound of snot in my head. At least it feels that way. lol. Or maybe it was the medication? I wonder if that can affect weight loss? Dayquil and Nyquil.

I'm a little frustrated, but not giving up. I am going to kick up my workouts as soon as I feel better. Hopefully I will get even better results.

What do you all think about an Easter goal? That would give us 38 days. Or we could make a short goal with April Fool's which would give us 15 days? What do you think?

Well I will talk with you all later. Good luck

Happy St. Patty's Day!
Yeah, I didn't make my goal either. I weigh in at 151.5.

It's TOM this week, last night I started to feel a little sick as well (nose congested a little now), and I don't know what's wrong with me. I'm doing all the exercise, the diet, staying on track, but not losing weight.

I just sent some info to my nutritionist to see if there's anything she can help me with in terms of the diet. It's called a 24 recall. Hopefully I'll find answers.

I'm totally down for April Fool's goal. The shorter the goal, the better for me to keep staying on track (mini goal).

So at about 2 pounds per week, that should be about 147.5 for me. I'd be thrilled with that much weight loss by then! My motivation will be that beer I won't be getting tonight.

LT, what is your goal for April fools? I hope you feel better! Btw, there's always an upside to every downside...and for being sick, I always lose a little weight and it doesn't come back for some reason! Since my nose is congested, I don't feel like eating certain foods too! Just eating fruits for breakfast.

Talk soon...and for everyone else, come back soon!

Let's do BOTH April fools and Easter goals....this way we can see our goal ahead of the mini goal and keep working even harder!

So for me, 2 pounds per week:
April 1 = 147.5
April 24 = 141.5

I would be THRILLED with the above, so I'm gonna work hard to make it happen!

Alright so:
April 1st - 166lbs
April 24th - 160lbs Wow. 160. I haven't seen that number in about 7 years. That will be a huge accomplishment. If I hit the mark, I am going for a pedicure!

Beila - I hope the nutritionist gives you some helpful insight.

Yes, love it. April fools and Easter goals sound great. Guess that means I have to weigh myself to see where I'm starting. I'm bound to be up at least 5 lbs.

Gotta run now, but I'll be back soon with personals.

Okay, I am laughing at the whole picture of weight loss this morning. (my own) I stepped on the scale and was at 169.2 this morning. So let me get this straight....the day before St. Paddy's day I was at goal (in the 160's), the day of goal I went up to 170 to not make my goal, and then the day after I am 169.2 back within my goal.? What can you do but laugh? Now let's just hope the scale keeps moving in the right direction.

I am thankfully feeling better today. I'm thinking I will take some time off just to be sure. Then starting Monday, it is on! Something about starting on a Moday...maybe a fresh start?? I still plan to follow eating, just giving my body time to recover. (or making excuses lol) Now if I don't start on Monday then give me h*ll!

Ann- Weigh in and whatever the number don't be discouraged. Let's set some goals and work hard to get there.

I am starving so going to get some lunch. ttyl.

Hi Everyone!

Weekend is here! I'm gonna workout super hard today at the gym. I have nothing else planned, so why not give working out my ALL!

Tomorrow is the LA Marathon, and I'm volunteering as a "hot walker" from 6am to 2pm (long time on my feet!). I hope the moving will help me further lose weight!

Well just wanted to check in.

Hope everyone is staying on track or getting started again!

So I just finished my cardio workout at the gym, burned 725 cals!! Wooo hoot! I am pooped!

I have been stuck at my current weight for a while and decided this morning to do the extreme fat smash diet again since I got really good results the last two times I did it, just week one.

Week 2 introduces carbs like cold cereal and pancackes, and I know I'll just go off on that stuff, so just going to try week 1, maybe even repeat week one after I see results.

I really want to lose this weight!

Reasons I wanna lose weight:

-my bday is coming up in a couple of months
-i have to take my driver's license photo in 2 months! Just wanna good pic for once
-summer is coming up
-vacation to mexico is coming up!
-wanna look good and fit into my cute summer clothes
-wanna date more and stop tryna be my friend's wingwoman who gets all the attention!
-dont appreciate thighs rubbing together all the time when I walk
-just feel happy about my body and want to overall feel good about myself

Haha, hope some of the above makes u laugh!

Talk soon!

Smile Missing in action - sorry

Sorry ladies for having appearred missing in action. Time is the enemy you know. I have started trying to eliminate bad calories and focus in on the good ones. I have found the 'AMEN solution' and it seems to make so much sense. SInce last week I went from 169 to 165. Maybe this is just a fluke, but I'll take it! I have noticed less cravings and that is my best feeling. I am a sugar holic and I can't stop once I start.

Hope you all have a wonderful week. I probably wont make it on until next weekend...all four of my daughters have evening concerts this week, I work ful time, have report card to finish, a professional day from the office, and homework for 2 masters classes. huh? and I wonder why I turn to empty calories?

I do read your posts daily, just don't have time to respond. Thinking of you all!

Hi girls,

I am keeping up with your posts, just haven't had too much to add since I'm having such trouble getting back into the swing of things. I keep hoping your motivation will rub off on me if I keep checking in. LOL.

How was everyone's weekend? We had a nice one. Very busy. Saw some friends, went out to dinner, saw some family, went to a baby shower. But now it's monday and it's time to get back on track. DH and I are going away this weekend for a childless weekend away. I'm so looking forward to it! Friday will be here before I know it.

Other than that, I've been trying to figure out what I'm going to do with myself with regards to eating. Been reading up on different plans and thinking back on what's worked best for me in the past (and what has been really difficult to do). I think I'm going to do my own thing based on my experiences of what works best for my body. Lean proteins, some low fat dairy, lots of fruit and veggies, and limited complex carbs. Going to try to stay away from sugar and simple carbs all together as they just don't make me feel well and they always derail me from my efforts (I am convinced that I'm addicted to sugar and simple carbs, so even a little bit throws me off track completely). I honestly don't feel like counting calories or carbs or any of the above...just going to try to stick with frequent small meals and snacks and small portions. Wish me luck.

Beila--Good luck to you on extreme fat smash. I looked into fat smash over the last few weeks, but I think my body does better with more animal protein than is called for in that plan (just what works for me). I could see how the pounds could melt away on that plan though.

girls--I am actually reading the Amen Solution book. Very interesting stuff regarding the brain patterns of people who struggle with weight. Seems like a solid plan overall. I think I figured out that I'm a combination type 1 and 4, so I'm going to try to pick up some of the supplements that he recommends for the type 1 (compulsive overeater type) and see if it helps me a bit with cravings, appetite, sleep, etc. I think adding those in with my own diet plan (which is fairly consistent with what he recommends without counting calories) should work. What have you implemented so far? What seems to be working well for you?

LT--How are you? Are you ready for your fresh start today?

Take care!
