Welcome Tonyia! You must exercise. I've read so many things about losing weight, and diet alone will take longer. We can do it! Even walking helps lose the fat!

---

So everyone, once again I sincerly apologize for being MIA. I've gone through yet another binge phase, and my weight went back up to 155.5

But i'm back on track again. I'm gonna just try to focus on calorie deficit and exercise (cardio) 1 hour every day with strength training every other day. This is the LAST time I fall off the wagon. NO MORE! I'm really tired of getting back on track at a higher weight.

Good luck every one. Hope everyone is doing well. And thank you all for helping me get through this!

Tonyia- We always want that even when we know it's wrong

Friday I had a free day and yesterday was an unintentional one too. I ate well all day and then went to my friend's birthday party and had a few shots. But ate pretty darned well. Had carrots, broccoli, celery, strawberries and pineapples, a couple of ribs, hamburger patty (no bun) Japanese potato salad just enough to taste. No cake or sweets. I've never drank and eaten carrots before so that was a victory for me!

So today I'm completely on plan and drinking lots of water. Yesterday I also worked out (my 20 minutes of high intensity cardio) and then walked a 5K. I didn't realize that it would be a 5K. SO my legs were killing me for the rest of the day. Had I known it was a 5K I wouldn't have gone to the gym before hand. Oh well it was a good day.

Hi all, just wanted to introduce myself....I'm Erica and I'm just now getting back into a healthier lifestyle. It's a long time coming. My husband has been put on a low sodium diet, and so we're doing this together. My fridge and pantry has been cleaned out, I've bought the good stuff, and an visiting a local farm for fresh produce. The exercise started last Sat, and will restart later today......that 4mi hike wore me out! I'm so happy I found this site. I desperately need the help to keep focused and also so I don't feel horrible when I get off track. Glad to be here!

Hi, I'm Amy and I would love to give and get support from a weight loss buddy too! I have lost almost 50 lbs, some from an illness, other through Medifast and Weight Watchers. Right now I am working with my therapist on mini-goals and using the Daily Plate calorie counter on Live Strong dot com upon some great 3FatChick advice! I also do a lot of walking and go to the Y near me when I can for exercise. I have about 80 lbs left to lose and would love to have a buddy! Please feel free to PM me if you are interested.

Erica and Amy WELCOME!!!! You have found yourselves amongst a wonderful group of women.

As for me I am down 2 this week. Diet was ok workouts were killer. I think o need to start calorie counting - frustration is headed my way and I want to turn things around before I get to that throwing in the towel feeling. Happy Easter everyone. No chocolate bunnies for me this year. Kids are getting more outdoor toys and project stuff and very little candy this year. The Easter bunny is getting healthy too!

Hi there, I'm Kelly. I need to lose about 60 pounds and have no support system. I really think a key factor in losing and then maintaining weight, is to have someone who understands and supports you, and is there with you for all the ups and downs... I feel like I am missing out on that. Hopefully posting here will help. If anyone is looking for a daily buddy, feel free to message me.

I miss you guys!! I've been M.I.A for the past two weeks. Why? Because I was working. Now you may ask: "Have you not been working all the other days you post?" My answer to that would be "Why yes. Yes I have." So what's so different about these past two weeks?

We don't have any students right now. We're between semesters which starts again tomorrow. I thought (erroneously I might add) that I would have more time to get many of the things I've needed to do done. Did that happen? Kinda. Mostly I got things done that other people needed. None of which they asked me for but all of which I felt obliged to supply. So how much of my stuff did I get done? I cleaned my desk?

So anyhow, I did go back to the 190s! Eeek! I think it was totally alcohol related. Not that I ate more when I drank just that I drank alcohol. Period. I actually ate good things when I drank that night! And I didn't drink sugary stuff. I drank straight shots of vodka. About 5 or 6 of them.

I hope you new guys are still around!

Erica-How's it been going for you so far? Where did you hike 4 miles? That sounds intense. Sometimes I wish I lived in Sedona, Arizona so that I could hike those beautiful mountains again. The view is incredible from the top!

Amy- WOW! You are well on your way congrats for your loss thus far!

Rose- I love that..."The Easter Bunny is getting heatlhier" Making your workouts super intense is so important. I have to step mine up. I just realized that I'm getting comfortable again and I need to push myself every workout. I think that'll encourage those numbers to go march in the downward direction.

Kelly- Hello! And welcome What plan are you following? You've already lost 6 pounds! That's awesome.

Hopefully some of our old posters will resurface! It seems we all went on hibernation mode around the same time!

Sorry everyone to have been MIA, but my weight loss efforts have been dimishing as is my hope in ever losing this weight. I'm trying and trying, but it's just so hard to even see progress.

I hope and pray for progress and to get into the 140's. I've been consistently 135-145 for months, and then suddenly was gaining weight over winter. Now I've been stuck at 153-155 for the last 4.5 months!

Just not sure what is wrong with me. I need to stay on a diet for a good week and exercise for 7 days straight in order to see any type of results, but as we all know that is just hard to do. Also, I have binging problems which I'm trying to overcome. At the moment, I'm trying to stay binge free for 1 month (starting 4/30/11).

Anyways, I'm not sure what plan of action to take in terms of diet, other than salads, fruits, and veggies with fish and yogurt for protein. I don't eat poultry or red meats, only seafood. So being this type of eater makes it hard.

I want to keep accountable with someone as well and find buddy support on this. Hope to hear from you soon!

Welcome back Beila! Missed you around here. I think we have all lost the mojo. Haven't heard from Ann in a while either.

Ann if you are reading this, please post and let us know how you are doing girl.

Well I am trying somthing new. I joined Weight Watchers online and it is going great. I saw a glimpse of 167 this morning (my lowest weight in a long time.) Can't wait for Mondays weigh in. Hoping for a good number.

My family and I haven't eaten out for over a week now. I am dying for some sushi. So I am going shopping Saturday and am going to try making it at home myself. (how else am I going to know what goes into it!) So if anyone has any tips or good recipes please share. Please.

Well, time to put the kids to bed. Talk with ya later.

Hey ltsgirl! Sushi is pretty good even if you don't make it yourself. The store bought sushi has no preservatives or bad stuff. Just get brown rice sushi for the healthy kind. Also, if you are making it yourself because you are scared of the raw fish in store bought kind, make sure you buy sushi grade fish from the japanese market.

I have made it before and love it! I haven't had it in so long though since dieting this year.

As for me, I need help trying to stick to a diet plan and exercising 60 min everyday. I hope I can get your support and others as well. It's been hard for me for some reason. My motivation is low as well as my energy.

Well talk soon!

Hi ladies! I'm still plucking along. I hear ya Beila! I've been between 191 and 188 for the past few months. But I haven't binged...that's the ANNOYING part. I decided to cut back on carbs a little and eat more leafy green veggies, broccoli, and carrots. So really I cut back a little on the dairy. I'm limiting my Greek yogurt and cottage cheese affliction until I find out if maybe they are the culprit for the stall.

Good luck everyone!!

Hello everyone, I'm Emily and I've just hit 30 and am finally fed up of being a fatty!

I am looking for some inspiration and a kick up the bum. I am hoping to lose 3 stone by end of September (wishful thinking maybe) and 4-5 stone in total. I won't be going to the gym but I have a cross trainer, some weights, DVDs a Wii and an energetic dog at home, I'm hoping they will all help a bit!

If anyone wants a diet buddy

Hi Emily!

I'm just back on the diet bandwagon myself. I'd love to be your buddy as I need one too! I'd be up for keeping each other motivated. Send me a message and let me know what you think!

I also have two dogs and I'm mostly walking them and using the Wii for exercise as I'm not so fond of gyms or the monthly fee.

I just got the Zumba for Wii and I highly recommend! So much fun (and I hate workout videos).

Welcome CelticHarpie and O U 8 1 2, !

I have been off this thread due to lack of activity, but I still subscribe. Please check back here with your successes, or whenever you need support.

I'm not on any real diet plan as I have tried different ones in the past, including Extreme Fat Smash Diet (which I really love), and so now I just eat healthy and exercise for weight loss. I'm kinda "building up" my exercises and cutting back on foods, so at some point I will go full on with a new diet plan if results are too slow.

Anyhoo, I'm also 30 (turning 31 soon), and the weight seems to be a struggle in this age range. Before, I could just exercise for a couple of months and drop 10 pounds easily. Now, it's like a struggle for 5 months to lose just 5 pounds. Hmmm, not sure what it is.

There's a zumba class in my gym, which I hope to try out next week. Kinda sore from today and yesterday's workout classes (kickboxing and metabolic meltdown). I don't have wii or dogs, but I'm sure those will also help keep you active.

Suenos, did you pass your plateau yet? I'm hitting one as of right now...154. I know it was 152 before, but ughhh, after a binging state of mind for 2 weeks in April, I went up. So as of now, just trying to get off of those 2 pounds is making me learn my lesson....TO STOP BINGING. I'm a regular on the "binge free challenge" thread in the "chicks in control", and that is helping me out a lot. The leafy greens and veggies are great at helping you feel full and eat less. I have been doing that for a while and making that the "main entree" part of my meals. The "yummy" food (like fish, shrimp, or pasta) is like my side dish. How's your exercise going so far?
