Galadreal and Jen-

Wow, I feel for you - having that temptation/sabatogers at work. My work place is the opposite. I am in an Environmental field so work with a bunch of healthy people. I was the heaviest one here and am so happy to be losing weight so I don't stick out like a sore thumb. Today was Admin Professional's Day and the leftovers in the kitchen are bagels, fruit, juice and coffee. We have an EOM meeting this afternoon and I bet it is fruit, nuts, etc. If I smell something good warming up in the kitchen and go ask the owner what it is - it is most likely something from the Moosewood cookbook, the all natural cop-op down the street, etc. We aren't all hippies, but definitely a healthy group of people to work with. I guess I should count my blessings.

Galadreal - LOL! Yummy television screen! Really the only things I miss and crave are Cinnabon and chocolate... gotta love the chocolate. But I figure neither would taste that great mixed with the sweat from the elliptical.

I never had a Cinnabon...so I guess I am lucky there. But yes, Chocolate is missed...and milk. More than once I have been at the store and just wanted to chug a whole carton of soymilk right there.

Went for WI today since I had to go pick something up that was very close. I normally don't WI until Friday...sometimes Thursday, but I was feeling good about it for a change and was so close. I lost 1 lb since Friday and got to sign the 50lb board!! Will be getting my spa day from my husband and I ordered myself a wonderful new camera bag!

Congrats Fluffy!! Enjoy the well deserved spa day. I loved the feeling of signing a new board. I have one more that I REALLY want to sign and am 1/2 pound away. My fingers are crossed.

Galadreal - Be thankful! Before you ever decide to eat a Cinnabon, let me put this out there...ONE Cinnabon Classic has 880 calories!!!! Eat two of them and you've exceeded your calorie count for the day. But the good news is, milk comes back during stabilization. Woohoo!

Fluffy - Congrats on signing the 50 pound board!!!!

Yay Fluffy! That is so great! Not to mention a very significant weight loss. I bet you look and feel so much better and your health has got to be singificantly improved!

And ynapier, that .5 pound must be making you crazy. Have you considered asking to have measurements or bodyfat done just for some reinforcement that you really are still making changes? Just a thought.

And as for the Cinnibon, Jen is right. Those things are BOMBS. Sure they smell and taste good, but you have to consider what goes into them and thus what would be going into you.

Fluffy, I have wanted to ask what's the story behind your picture? That's quite a haircut you are getting.

Camaswa: Great story actually. I raised money for an organization called St. Baldrick's. It is a child cancer research group and for the fundraiser you shave your head. My hair was past my waist (donating it to either wigs for kids or locks of love). I raised over $1500. Thank you for asking.

Thanks all!! I do feel great, not only physically but mentally and emotionally. I had gotten very low and needed something to yank me back up. This program certainly has done that! My DH has been a God send for me as he is my biggest supporter and does whatever he can to help me. The spa day was all his idea as I was just going to wait until I finished my journey to have a big reward but he doesn't want me to wait.
This has been a slow process for sure but I keep telling myself I didn't put all this weight on fast so it isn't going to come off fast either. 8 months, 50.5 lbs and 65 inches (should have redone those today but didn't have time) and counting. I can't believe it...I think I'm still in a little shock. Right before I got on the scale I gave my counselor a hug for luck (she is my fav and my good luck charm) I think I almost hit her when I jumped off the scale screaming lol !!

Fluffy- great story, AND congrats ont he 50 lbs lost! what a milestone for you... you were hovering so close for such a long time... i dont know if i could have had the resolve to stick it out, but im so glad YOU did

So, im on yellow till tomorrow.. and i was SO EXCITED to start, and yet, ive been struggling !! i dont understand! i know 99.99% is PURE HABIT, as i dont feel very hungry... but i honestly dont feel like ive lost ANY weight yet (not even the "water weight") and i really need to see a loss tomorrow at my 1st weigh-in, to stay motivated..... I blew it last night,..... for NO reason i had 2 handfuls (large) of Chex Mix Cereal and 2 spoonfuls (large) of peanut butter..... then today i had 3 handfuls of peanuts......

Literally, not because i was hungry..... trylu out of habit.

I KNOW that if i went to bed earlier, i wouldnt night-time graze, and going tobed "early" isnt usually a problem, except right now i am cramming for tests/finals, so since i also work full-time, im staying up late doing homework.

I cant bear the thought of going in tomorrow night after work to WI and finding i havent lost anything I resigned up with MRC for the accountability, so i HAVE to go in. i HAVE to face the scales.......

Someone, give me an a$$ whooping. i am stronger than this, and i want this more than i wanted the handfuls of peanuts today .....

Congrats on the 50 lbs fluffy! That's amazing! And I love the story about your haircut. Awesome! So excited to see everyone losing. Gives me hope that I can lose like that, too!

So it's my birthday today and my husband (who is usually awesome, by the way) barely even acknowledged that it was my birthday. I've been crying off and on all day because of it. I never really had big birthdays growing up so the fact that my husband can't make it special for me either kinda hurts. All I want to do is have a blizzard from DQ and drown my hurt feelings in their ice cream. Kind of doesn't feel like a birthday without a cake or anything. All around it's been a really crappy day.

Fluffy- fantastic on 50 lbs!!!

I make the little veggie quiches that Patzi posted the recipe for. They are wonderful,I had two, daughter had some and rest going in frig and freezer. Very easy to make and are the perfect portion.
