Yes Sarah its the same people. I always feel like I have to be a certain way to fit in with them, but as I lose weight I feel I can be myself more, and I'm gradually reaslising what I want out of life.

I agree with you totally, nobody should be defended for something like that, I was furious that they would protect him, I guess it shows where people loyalties lie.

Right, I'm off for an afternoon out with Chris, trying to take my mind of things, I took out alot of my aggression on the lawnmower this morning.

Veggie - I don't think people like that can be called 'friends'.

Neleh - good on you. You don't need people like that around you.

I tripped over a dog and our Sunday dinner went flying.... so looks like it'll be kebab tonight.

No, I just tend to buy the Cauldron ones...

I'm making an aubergine lasagne for my tea, bizarrely long runs seem to zap my appetite rather than making me as hungry as I think I should be (partly because I don't have enough energy to stand in the kitchen cooking for too long), but I've managed to persuade myself to make something, as the freezer's looking a bit bare because I've not cooked for ages with visits etc.

Hello everyone

Didn't it turn out to be the most gorgeous day. The sun warmed my soul and I just felt so much better than yesterday.

My brother has bought me a big bar of dark choccy and I intend having a few square this evening oh what devil I am eh. I've a pile of ironing to do but I am just full up from my dinner. Which was a mexican quorn burger mushrooms some peppers and a fried egg doesn't sound that appetising but oooh it was just yummy.

Enjoy the rest of your evening everyone

Goodnight godbless

I've had a lovely day, swimming etc. The afternoon was ish up here, but still pretty unreliable with the old sunshine. I hope it doesn't rain tomorrow, but I don't think I've ever been to a funeral when it hasn't rained.

Our hike was a bit of a wash-out but I enjoyed every soggy, squelchy minute of it!

It's leg day today - down at the gym at lunch.

Feeling flabby and bloated - ate too much yesterday without the long walk to burn it off Never mind, I think I might've needed a rest. I have great food today, but I wanted a chicken and mango salad for lunch. I didn't have a mango so thought I'd buy one at the little Tesco express. They don't sell them! I'm quite dissapointed! Me WANT MANGO

Our lovely students start today Hello students.

Oh yes, and did you see the BBC news? Steve Irwin crocodile hunter got stung by a stingray and died He was purty cool, and what a way to go.

Back in work today, and am so proud that I'm still eating healthy and exercising. Had a bit of a disaster this morning when I was making my pineapple and banana smoothie, I was sure I'd clicked the bottom of the blender into place but obviously I hadn't so my kitchen ended up covered in a sticky pineapple mess Not the best way to start a Monday morning.

We have a new boss at work today, he's working below my boss but above the department managers (of which i am one), it'll be interesting to see what happens with that. Plus several people are back from holiday at work and they all brought sweets and biscuits *sob*

Car is in for its MOT, I'm kind of nervous as last year it cost around £600 and then the service was almost £1000, we really can't afford any extra expense right now.

Ok time to do some work....

God, it sounds like we need a big ....group hug!!!

I had an okay trip back from Lewisham - not too many people on the trains and my luggage was not too heavy as I had been taking things back to my flat all week.

I arrived sweaty and bleugh though so after a quick meal was going to have a shower. Just as I got through the door my fried rang to say she and her aussie visitor had just got back from visiting the Tate and would I like to come over. I definately needed a shower and hair wash for this!

Well I had a nice evening drinking, wine, port, eating cheese and pannetonne. Yum.

Woke up this morning to the news of Steve Irwin. Pretty gutting really, he seemed like a really nice (if ever so slightly cuckoo at times) guy. I suppose it's not really that surprising though in theory, as he did some insane things, but for some reason it still shocked me. I feel so sorry for his two kids

Other than that, I'm recovering from whatever the **** I've had all weekend. Might even get some exercise in today if I feel up to it later. I'm not feeling quite as dreadful as I have done lately.

Dunno what my weight is like - I refuse to weigh myself until my TOM is over. I've not really eaten much this weekend though (due to feeling poorly).

Think that's about all I've got to say right now really - I'm boring lol.

Neleh, What a disgrace! Its terrible that these ppl defend the actions of a man with a drink problem, you are the victim of his actions! My father-in-law is a drunk and although he wouldnt dream of touching me its still really annoying when they do things that are embarrassing/illegal/offensive. I would stick to your guns and not allow him in your house again, regardless of what other "friends" say. There are some things you have to remain firm about. At least your husband is on your side, which is good.

Everyone with TOM problems, I do sympathize - I hope that you are soon better and when you get on the scales you have lost loads and loads! I read once that you do burn off another 140 calories a day when you are in that state. Not much but it has to help.

I am feeling slightly more human with this pregnancy now. I am at 13 weeks (ish) now. I had to do 8 days again because I thought I was 12 weeks one day when I had my scan, and it turned out I was only 11 weeks. So my due date is now 12th March 2007. It seems ages away, but I am still scared that I wont be fit enough and I will be too fat for a c-section! Still I am working on it, been swimming every week and walking as much as I can, although that isn't much because of the horrible weather!
I am going to start packing soon because we are trying to move, which I am hoping will help the general fitness plan. I say trying to move because we are doing a three way mutual exchange of council houses. This means three families will all swap and I will get to move to Scotland, which is what we want. But the housing associations and council housing departments we have to deal with are so rubbish that I somehow doubt we will ever move. I bet I am still here in Leeds at Christmas. Anyway I am going to stop being negative, but I will tell you as I write this, that I have been waiting to speak to someone at a housing association for 20 minutes, just getting the same message again and again! Arghhhhhhhhhh!

All the best to everyone I hope you all feel better very soon!

Gale I hope your housing association works things out for you soon, in my work I deal with a couple of local housing associations and I know the struggles that their tennants have, I sympathise with you.

Yes, I think people sometimes forget how drinking problems affect the people around them, and tend to take it alot more lighthearted than it actually is, I don't think that helps the person drinking that much either.

Good to know that TOM burns off a few extra calories, at least thats a little bit of comfort
