I took it when I returned from 3 weeks in China and it helped tremendously. I would suggest starting with 1/2 of a pill. A whole pill just about put me in a coma for 20 hours! 1/2 pill took the edge off enough to allow me to fall asleep.

MMMMM. Today I turned my usual egg/cheese and toast into something fun for breakfast. This may be in the cookbook...don't remember how I came to think about it....

Mini quiches.

Took my bread and took off the crust. Then divied it into four pieces and smooshed and flattened the bread. Sprayed a mini cupcake pan, put the bread in, sprayed ICNINBS on the bread and toasted for a couple minutes in the oven. Then I took my egg, cheese, and about a tablespoon of salsa (not completely OP....mine is deli fresh, but has high sodium) and scooped them into the toasted bowls. Baked at 350 for about ten minutes until the eggs were done.

They were delish! You could add more veggies and not use a crust for a lunch (b/c we are allowed eggs a few times a week for lunch!). They were so yummy! Just wanted to share!

Debi -- I know you took a few different supplements during your time on program. Do you have any advice for me, or is there a certain supplement that you really felt made a difference in your weight loss?

I was thinking about just adding B6 & B12 to my supplement repertoire, but I'm also switiching to a prenatal multi-vitamin next week, so I'm not sure if adding B vitamin supplements would be too much with that.

Hi Debi..
All my blood work is up to date and is ok. Thanks for asking. I am a nurse and I have that done and an EKG yearly.. I only have 3 more pounds to go to goal, then stablilization. I would really be ok if they would not push the pills on me if I gain .6 pounds or .2 pounds , as it makes me more frustrated. I don't think they will after the last meating. I know the last few pounds are difficult, and just a few weeks ago, I lost 1 1/2 pounds , so it is not like I have not been losing.

I had great success on Healthy Inspirations in the past. It is almost like this
system, except they use the bars as snacks. They have same drinks, bars, food, etc. but there are three meals and the rest is snacks. You are allowed three snacks a day, being bars, drinks, etc. and allowed some free stuff like an extra small salad, sugar free jello. If one gained weight, they would change food , and do some food combining.

Thanks for answering. I weigh in Friday and see where I am there, and will report back.

Snow and ice are dumb.

Not only have they kept me from work for a few days...but I more than likely won't be able to get to my Zumba training Saturday. The roads are solid ice and we are only looking at one day above freezing before then. It is 2.5 hours away...and every road there is covered with ice.

I am super bummed. I can change to another certification in the next year with no penalty of price...but I really was ready to finally do it.

I took mrc-6, corti-trim, appetite supp and msm in addition to the normal b, d, multi and efa. I have a hard time saying they "helped" because I didn't lose more or less inches or weight than any other person who lost 70 lbs! Not sure why in took them except that I felt it helped me stay really committed. I was on plan 1000%. I weaned off of all except b,d, efa and multi, which I still take. The problem with the supplements is that they're not regulated or proven- I think they just make us feel better. I can honestly say that I don't think they contributed to my loss, but cant prove that either way! If you're OP and losing, id say save your money.

Oh, and mrc-6 is almost completely vit b6. I love B12 because it helps me tremendously with stress.

Thanks for that info b/c I was told I couldn't take mrc-6. It looks like i'm going to try b12 or b6 vitamins!

My problem is I can't get in to weigh in. Weather has been bad every day that I can go in. It is about a 30 minute drive for me to get to my clinic. I am hoping to lose 10 pounds this month. I need to get 100% back on plan and stop with cheating here and there. I am staying stable. Not gaining anything, but I am not losing either. Need to get back into it. Valentines Day is hard because I love chocolate and my birthday is on Valentines Day too. My hubby normally takes me somewhere where they have amazing desserts and amazing food. Told him this year I want to go somewhere I can have some healthy choices. He has been great about everything.

We have already decided for Vday we are going to create an "out" dinner at home. I got the "Eat This, Not That" restaurant cookbook at the library..and we are going to make something healthier at home. That way I can control portion and ingredients...and stay OP (or not stray too far) and we can have fun cooking together too!

My center had some terrific OP Sweetheart dessert recipes for chocolate brownies with almond icing and strawberry-banana cheesecake. They were terrific! I think the recipes are in the cookbook, and I plan on making them for Valentine's Day so that I can enjoy some sweets alongside the hubby. They'd make a fantastic dessert that is 100% completely ON PLAN! Gotta love that!

Talking new here...just waiting on my tax refund lol

Hi Ladies,
I am new here. I am so happy that I found this site. My best friend for over 20years has been struggling with weight issues for just as long as I have. We are built almost the same. She joined MRC last year and I am so proud of and am in AWE of her. She has gone from a size 16/18 to a 10! She has so much more confidence and is much happier.
She has inspired me to join also. I was a little skeptical until I saw the weight constantly falling off of her.............now she does kickboxing two to three times a week so I know that has helped tone her up, but I do know that MRC has helped her a lot.
I cant wait to get started with mine.....gotta wait on Uncle Sam to put my money in the bank, then im going straight to be signed up.

I look forward to many posts on this site......

I hope those of you who are battling the ice/snow storms get some relief soon. Stay warm. I have been contemplating what to do for vday. I was just asked by my friend if we would double date with her & her bf. Also, our 7th anniversary is coming up and we usually go out for a nice dinner, but we are staying this year so that we can stay op. I know dessert will def. be the chocolate covered strawberries from the mrc cookbook. Wi is tomorrow. Wish me luck Cheers to an op day tomorrow!

ashleyrae-Chocolate brownies? Yum! Are they in the new cookbook or the one from last yr? I haven't seen it. I need to look for that recipe!

tdsmith- Welcome!
