Wink

Holy crap! I'm only one pound away from my goal.

I am so pleased to be able to tell you all that this diet is totally do-able.
Honestly I know that maintainance will be much harder BUT I'm trying to be as prepared as possible.

I've been to the maintainers forum and have been reading and ordering more books. That said--I will be spending my somewhat limited internet time there more and more. However, this forum has been a constant source of strength, accountability and friendship for me! You guys ROCK! Thanks and I know that I'll see everyone of you on the maintainers forum in the not too distant future!

(I'll probably post here once more when the magic number happens...I'm sooooo psyched!)

Much love and gratitude,
Carol

Hey Carol ---- WOW ----- You are SUCH an inspiration! I'm still jonesing for BAD food and there you are tearing up the place. Wow!!

zeute - try the peach oatmeal (yuck)

Brooke, the banana shakes are good. I've tried it with PB2 - yum. Just like a peanut butter and banana sandwich (an Elvis thing).

Stupid TOM showed up. Of course. Honestly, I think I'm gonna bleed to death. Sorry TMI, but for real!! It's horrendous. I was only a week late. Needless to say, I lost a big zero this week (more like 3 days anyway).

I really, really want to work out. I guess I have to wait 3 more weeks? What do you think? I'm really not obsessed with the numbers. I know when we begin working out, we retain water. Is that why MF wants us to wait - less weight loss = less motivation?? Or do you think it has to do with starving to death? Would 20 minutes really hurt anything?

brooke - I haven't tried it yet. That is one of the things I brought here to school for today. Is that a bad thing or a good thing?

Congratulations Carol!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Michelle - I have heard things about the peach oatmeal. If I find something I don't like I'll either send it back or hurry up and eat all of that saving the good stuff for last.

It was so gratifying last night to actually chew a meal!

I love the peach oatmeal!! The cr of brocc is nasty! I made it into chips and still threw it out. I used 2 out of the box so I can't return the rest.

Welcome back Michelle! My daughter is doing the slim fast plan and I get jealous of what she can eat. She also lost more the first month than I did but her metabolism isn't screwed up by years of dieting.

I don't know about exercise. Maybe you can call MF?

Uggg... 7 inches of snow yesterday and more coming. Who else is in WI? I thought someone was. I need warmth!

Have a good MFing day everyone!

Carol, do let us know when you make it, how exciting! You must give us tips. Right now I am feeling that I am losing too slowly and I see others losing and eating things that I can't. How did you get past this? Or, were you lucky and lost fast? Some lose so fast!!

I am 2 hours north of you near Appleton. My daughter lives in Frankin so we are in your area often. She is getting married next January and that is why I started MF. I am not wearing an ugly fat mother of the bride dress!

I brought my waffles to work, I think they'll be good in the toaster.

Sexy, HUSH your face!!! Look at you, sexy girl! You're at 214 or less! I would LOVE to be at 214!! Try on some of your fat pants - there's your motivation. Week 3 is the worst - shake on through it.

Peach oatmeal is NASTY!

I'm going to have to get some RTD shakes and snacks I think. Timing is really tough with my class schedule and I'm waiting too long to eat (or missing a meal completely) and ending up starving. I think that's why I was slightly lightheaded when I started to drive home today, too.

The beef stew is rather bland.

Hi ladies! Re: the cream of broc, I really didn't like it at first & it sat in my cupboard forever. Then I tried it again w/1/2 c. of leftover cooked chopped broccoli in it & a sprinkle of Molly McCheese & it was pretty tasty & it still left me w/1 c. of veggies for my L&G.

Then I tried the Broccoli Quiche Cups & they were delicious & great for a portable MF meal as they were tasty cold too. Might be worth a try to use up the COB if you don't like it as soup. I'll post the recipe in the MF recipe section.

Thanks sue!! Maybe I'll those as an option for my timing issues.

Did anyone else have an issue with increased frequency of urination when they initially started? I'm not drinking anywhere near my 8 glasses of water but I'm still going more.

I think they call that the Medifast Dash. At first I seemed to spend more time IN the bathroom than out. I think it's your body flushing away carbs & crap from your old lifestyle. Have to say tho'...I still had to pee a lot the whole time I was on the 5&1 plan. It has slowed down now that I'm in maintenance...I think it's because I have more carbs now.
