Jacqui- the green boots are just his color preference. Today we had to settle for tan bottom and camo tops. They were out of neon green. The toes of the boots are always a "normal" color but the crazy part is hidden under jeans...kind of like people who like wearing crazy socks.
Ok, I'm really really struggling today! I weighed this morning and it was higher than my starting weight! I weighed again, same thing...3rd and 4th time it was 1 lb down from starting. I hope my new scale gets here soon. I have been working so hard and seeing weight GAIN is just heartbreaking. It makes me feel like something is wrong with my body and I will never lose weight again.
Add that I am very hungry, fighting a cold sore, on my period, UGHHHH.
Jacqui, some how I have set the computer up to not allow me to open the photobucket so I can't see it Jacqui, you are killing it, I am so happy for you Do your thing Lady
Mary, that's also why I think I need seat covers and to keep a change of clothes. Luckily I always always have a sweater in the car. Aw, that's cute on the boots . I'm so glad the mall is not far from the Honda dealer here. I just walk around in there. It would drive me nuts staying in there as long as it takes to fix/look at your car. Aw Mary here's a huge be patient my friend, our bodies are crazy
Mars, maybe for some but I'm thinking not for me. I never wake up in the same position. I am tossing and turning most nights. Sometimes I have to get up and pray that I can just sleep peacefully for the next 2-3 hours because I'm so tired. Thanks Mars on the commenting ... LOL I'm tired all of the time. I call my husband as soon as I get in the car and lock my door in the morning and he can tell in my voice whether or not I've rested well or not. I keep Coke Zero in my trunk for the when I just can't get it moving Thanks for the tip on Whole Foods. I didn't know that about their return policy. But I have children that will try just about anything depending on which one I ask Oh and my weight didn't stick. that one low day back fired but I knew it would, because low days always do
Carol Sue I don't check my bs before taking my met, I just try to take it consistently every 12 hours. All of my jeans are either tight or too big right now. The smaller ones are tight in the waist and the bigger ones that will fit comfortable in the waist are too big every where else, just can't win unless I cut this belly fat off My daughter convinced me to buy thongs. I should have made her give me my money back. I am not a shameful person and will pull my underwear out of my behind in a minute. My kids are so embarrassed, "Mommy!" Wow the fitbit goes into detail. Mine just tells me the percentage of restful sleep

Rennie, I'm sorry you can't view a pic from photobucket. I don't know what other program to save it to in order to get it to upload on 3FC. Of all those tempting foods you listed in your menu today, you know what jumps out at me and makes me want one? Dr. Pepper! I am so addicted! BUT I've had 2 leftover cases of my beloved Diet Dr. Pepper in my kitchen for a couple of months now and haven't touched them. My plan is to go as long as I can, because I think it is so much healthier for me if I can stay away from it. I'm going to try to keep my "big girl panties" on about this one, lol! Speaking of big girl panties, y'all are cracking me up with the thong stories! I guess with my big hind end, I find them to be comfortable because there is no material there to ride up, haha!
Mary, bless your heart! I hope your scale comes in very soon! That sounds so frustrating! Just stick to your plan. You're doing great! Oh, the boots sound cute! Leave it to Texans to come up with neon green boots, lol!
B: Eggs, veggie, coffee
S: Almonds
L Chicken roll ups, coffee
S: Yogurt
D: Left over Zuchinni Cheeseburger Boats, salad.
Mars: you asked about my measurements. Well, when I was on SB long ago, I use to read and re read the book, and in there they tell you to take your measurements, because you will have times with the scale will not move but you feel like you have lost. Measurements have saved me, because they keep me on track, I would be totally bummed if I got on the scale only and saw not results, esp when I know my clothes fit differently. I only do numbers every 2 weeks, I measure my bust, waist, hips, both upper arms and both thighs. The waist is stubborn (menobelly), but I believe it is in part to fat dropping down from else where above. (that is my story and I am sticking to it!)
Chickadeee, really? Leftover zucchini cheeseburger boats? Oh my goodness, I really need for you to come and cook for me! Yum! Cracked me up on the "That's my story and I'm sticking to it!"
I wanted to share this article I came across today of this adorable young lady who could teach many of us a thing or two about a positive attitude and the value of good health over vanity when it comes to weight loss. Since I am one of those people who dreads the thought of sagging skin, I found it to be quite inspirational, and just look at how happy and beautiful she is! It's titled, "10+ Reasons I Love my Ugly Body": http://imperfectlife.net/ilovemyuglybody/.
Chickadee, WTG on the 3 lbs and 2 inches! Woohoo! Yay for hand mower exercise steps! Even if the calorie burn doesn’t seem high (and calorie burn estimates are not always accurate anyway), you were probably building some muscle and that is always good.
Rennie, you’ll be back to those 60’s in no time! You made me a little home sick seeing the crabs and shrimp...yummy! The pizza-on-a-plate idea sounds good. And I need some new menus. I have tried so many low carb crust recipes and nothing ever turned out right. I assume they just put all the fixings (except crust) on a place and microwave it but not long enough to turn it into crunchy cheese chips?
Mary, Hang in there, you’ll get that post-TOM whoosh any day now. Mine usually happened around Day 5. I thought about you today when my knees starting crackling. I hadn’t heard them do that in a long time, but I was really pushing them to their limit. Texas People Problems made me giggle. I might eventually move there permanently so I guess that means I need cowboy boots, eh? I’ve already taught myself to 2-step.
Mars, Great job on getting below your Carb Day weight! I’m so jelly, but I know you ate better with your healthier choices than I did. whole paycheck. Hehe.
Carol Sue, hehe on the thong funny.
Jacqui, Awesome on the ½ lb and all that exercise. Woot! Thanks for the links. I’ll give it a looksee tomorrow if I’m not incapacitated. I guess we always want what we don’t have. I was born dark blonde and I want that color back so bad, but would be happy to just find a color that matches my current light brown color to cover the gray in my widows peak. Everything I put on it turns it red. And I don’t like it one bit.
Thanks y'all! I probably would have appreciated the drop more if it was back to the weight I was last Friday.
I climbed a mountain today, well a small one. I can’t tell you how many times I had to stop and tell myself that I could do it. I thought my heart would beat out of my chest. It was so steep and I’m not used to being much above sea level. I started out on some of the lower trails to get warmed up, but the summit trail was 1.7 miles that went from 300 feet elevation to 1460. Man was it tough! And I thought going down would be easy since I took the 2 mile trail back down, but most of it was so steep that you were really having to use your thigh muscles to keep from rolling down the hill. I felt like a newborn colt most of the way down. Needless to say, my body is screaming at me so I probably won’t do much tomorrow.
I was amazed at the age groups (up to 90) and how good of shape everyone was. I was the only representative of the Obese Gals or even the overweight ones, that I saw.
Anyway, I drank a truck load of water today and I’m just curious to see what that ornery scale has to say in the morning because I can’t push any harder than I did today.
See y’all tomorrow!

Bewildered: there is a little packet for 99 cents at Sally to mix into hair color to prevent brassy or red. One thing I have learned if you tend to red never use anything with the words "warm" "golden" or "caramel." You need to stick to neutral or maybe even the cool depending. I have the same problem so I get "dark blonde" and not "dark golden blonde." That actually turns out brown on me. I go to Sally and buy everything separate b/c my hair is thick and I was not getting good coverage with the store bought boxes, but at sally the same money mixes up MORE liquid so I don't have coverage issues. I also learned to mix sweet n low (like 2 packs) into the hair dye if it burns your scalp normally. It works!
I walked with my 8 year old and got in 10k plus again today. Ate well, too...despite wanting to be naughty LOL
Good morning Sisterhood of the Traveling Thongs!
Starting to feel like fall, even though it's hot. Chickadeee Thanks for the measuremt info. I am going to start doing that. The scale can be a cruel mistress. No zucchini peels for DH! Dairy Fairy Yay you for staying strong! Bewildered Mt Pisgah sounds wonderful. I would say you got some exercise (understatement). Rennie, Jacqui, Carol Sue!
Yesterday was very slow at work. I felt very hungry but I think it was bordeom. I ate my dinner at 1pm! Sometimes that happens and thankfully it takes care of the hunger for the rest of the day. i had a snack or two later.

Chckadeee, A couple summers ago I was into making those zucchini boats. DH liked them and ate them. I made some pizza flavored using sausage, mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce, and some taco flavored, using ground beef, taco cheese and tomato sauce. I haven't done it recently and don't even remember how I did it.
Bewildered, there is no way I could have climbed that mountain. I can barely walk up and down my cellar steps. I think it's wonderful that you were able to do it. I don't remember how old you said you were, but to do something like that you must be in very good shape regardless of your weight. You should be very proud!!
Rennie, the Met does not actually lower your blood sugar, but I also take Glimiperide. It forces your pancreas to release more insulin and drops your blood sugar dramatically. You have to be careful with it. I am always afraid of going too low, especially during the night. One night I got up to go to the bathroom. I felt shaky and weak so I checked my blood sugar. It was 44. I immediately sat in a chair and yelled for DH to bring me a piece of hard candy. In about 15 minutes it was back up to the 70s. I hate to think of how low it would have gone if I didn't have to go to the bathroom. Now I am very cautious about taking it, especially in the evening. I would rather wake up with a high fasting reading.
Last night my Fitbit said I slept for 7 hours and 13 minutes. 97% restful, but I felt as though I tossed and turned a lot more than they say I did. I think if I'm lying there not moving it thinks I'm asleep. I don't feel really rested. I might try it one more night, and take something, like Tylenol or Benedryl and see what the difference is.
When I went for my sleep study, I felt as though I had laid there awake all night, but they said I slept. I had on monitors and all kinds of wires stuck to my head. How do you sleep like that? Also, I had to sleep on the right side of the bed during the study, and I am accustomed to sleeping on the left side. I was not comfortable at all, also knowing that there was a camera on my all night. It was funny because during the night I got cold and pulled the sheet up over me. A minute later I heard the air conditioner shut off. They saw me pull that sheet up and knew I was cold. I also made sure I didn't drink anything in the evening before I went for the study because I knew I wasn't going to be able to get up to go to the bathroom.
Mary, will your son wear these boots now, when it's hot, or are they for back-to-school? LOL
Jacqui, you have to remember that Mary's son is, what, 10? A 10 year old does not want to wear boring brown boots. LOL They have to have what's "cool." Actually, I like stuff like that too, but DH, being very conservative, does not want me wearing anything that would call attention to myself. Bummer.
I googled and found lots of green boots online. If I were buying cowgirl boots I would like these!
Jacqui, I'll try on the kids computer The didn't have diet Dr Pepper or I would have surely got that, I didn't want diet Mt Dew. Good job on keeping the soda at bay
Chicky
Bewildered, I sure hope so. At least before the month ends I need to be below 172.5 which was my start weight for the month. LOL they do just put all of the fixing on a plate but it's so good. The other option may be the thin soy wrap. Which I definitely want to try (when I find it). I so miss being up north. The crab was over cooked so not good. When I lived in VA I could go up the street and there was a crab truck. He drove in daily with loads and loads. Before he started coming to our area I would just take the drive to DC and buy them at the Wharf. Ah the good ole' days. Bewildered I hope your exercise and water pays off today GO YOU
Mars you ROCK I so need to be near you I need that because my scale is climbing ...

Thank-you Rennie! I'm betting your uppage is a salt issue, but here goes, since you asked , How about drinking extra water to flush out that sodium?
Btw, those soy wraps are called also called Yuba. You might have better luck if there is an Asian market near you, but then you'd need to make sure they aren't just regular tapioca-basedspring roll wraps. That said, those regular wraps might not be too bad if you fill them with a bunch of veggies. Nice finger food. Another thing to try is the tofu-based noodles. PastaSlim? Many brands, you might ask in the store but it's refrigerated, usually next to the tofu. A serving of 'spaghetti' is about 40 cal, not counting topping. It has a smell when you open the package, must be the protein. You just rinse, no need to cook. I love it--think I'll get some this weekend.
