Another good day here- it's funny how I can forget that I have so much more energy when I'm OP. Hoping I won't forget again soon!
Mel, hope the weather holds up for putting up the Christmas lights! This was my first batch of LEDs, so I'm excited to see how they look when they get plugged in, but that usually isn't til December 1st. I might push it up a bit this year!
Arabella, how'd the point counting go? Hope it's all good in the hood!
Carri, I've never done any Zumba, but my boss takes a class and LOVES it. She says it beats her up pretty well, but it's so much fun. I say give it a go! And oh yeah, baby, can't wait for the Thanksgiving weekend! 5 days off for me, but I'll be much more tired than if I was at work, what with all the hours of shopping.
Liz, I sure hope downtown Toronto is not like downtown Philadelphia! I haven't seen very much of Canada at all, just a bit around Niagara Falls, but there seemed to be a HUGE difference from this side to that side of the border- your side being the distinct winner...
OK, football tonight, gotta get busy before game time. Have a good one, everyone!
A good day down -- within points, lots of exercise, water, etc. Now to replicate today. Cloudy out there. I've got to go and get the back yard raked and leaves bagged before it starts to rain. What am I doing here, then?
I've got a date to go to Zumba tonight. I'll report back tomorrow.
Auntie g, we switched to all LED lights last year. Pretty much had to after our old lights just about set the tree on fire last year. I have to admit, I still prefer the old-fashioned look of the incandescent bulbs. (Don't tell anyone, but I'm also going to switch my bathroom bulbs back to incandescent -- fluorescent is just way too harsh, especially in a room with stark white walls.
Carri, yeah, my biggest problem with exercise is that sometimes I overdo it and then am exhausted or even get sick. Defeats the purpose.
Liz, DH is from Toronto. I like to go and stay downtown when we visit. He grew up beside the 401. When he was a kid it was just two lanes...
Mel, it's really fun to decorate for the holidays -- I don't do a lot of it but I get a big kick out of every little bit. DH's birthday is on the 16th so I always try to get the tree up by then.
K, leaves apparently aren't raking themselves. Let's make it a good one!
Hey ladies! I have not had the best few days....get ready for TMI...I have been "stopped up" the past few days. I have felt like I have a bowling ball in my stomach and my stomach is all swollen out (like if I ate a pound of salt). Very uncomfortable and I have no motivation to do anything. I tried drinking coffee which usually does the trick since I don't normally drink it so no help so far. Sorry about my long rant about TMI but I feel like it's really hurting my weight loss and I feel so close to onederland even though I know I am heavier than I was last Sat bc of all of this.
I hope you all have a great week and congrats on staying OP!!
Mel - Sorry to hear that and sorry to hear coffee isn't working! That always works for me too. That or a good walk - but that's hard when you don't feel like moving!
Arabella - Two lanes?! I can't quite imagine it, haha! I hear you on the leaves...I have to do it again, I had them raked and in bags, and then I let the dog out and she knocked the bags over and chewed them up! You should have seen my face, she is lucky to still be alive, lol.
auntie g - I have no idea, I've never been to Philadelphia - I've only been a few places in the states...I'd like to do some more travleing as the kids get older!
Well we did some Christmas shopping today, so that was fun! Christmas will be so much more fun this year with DS since he really "gets" it now and is looking forward to telling Santa what he wants...so cute.

Thanks Liz- I tried the coffee, miralax,a walk on the treadmill and nothing I am about to drink my 2nd cup of coffee for the day,if this doesn't work I give up! Yay for Christmas shopping! I am almost done with my shopping for the boys, the hard part is finding hiding places since my kids are sneaky LOL
Another OP day, but I'm getting a little concerned about next week. It's not so much Thanksgiving dinner as it is the double breakfast of Black Friday... Will have to make it a really good week before and after that!
Arabella, hurray for a good point counting day! And hope today went well, too!
Mel, hope things are moving right along for ya! Just think of the WI when you've "recovered"...
Carri and Liz, hi!
Almost time for BL, so annoying, but I'm gonna watch it anyway!
Congrats Auntie on staying OP!!!! I'm sure you will do great next week and find a way to make it work. I am really hoping to "recover" soon, this sucks LOL
Zumba'd last night and between that and leaf-raking was left with 6 extra points and nary a flex point added. My sister's birthday party is on the weekend so I might want to have points for cake and wine...
Shall be dancing like a mad thing anyway, so should be all goooooooood!
Zumba was good -- quite strenuous enough, thank you. Always fun to do something different. I haven't got the steps down -- and they didn't demonstrate, just went at it -- but maybe I can find some instructions online.
Now thinking of dipping my toe into the hot yoga pool tomorrow evening...
Auntie, I've just watched the first half-hour or so of BL and so far it's looking much less annoying. Maybe they realized they jumped the shark last week...
You'll have so many points saved by TG Day (and Black Fri.) that you'll sail right through. You're doing FABULOUS!
Mel, hoping your tummy is all better now! Are you drinking plenty of water? I want to see you get to Onederland this week!
Liz, dogs can make quite spectacular messes, can't they? I've never forgotten the year that my sisters and I were making these baked salt-dough ornaments, all painted and glittered and sequined. Went out shopping and left them on the counter and... well, that puppy threw up the most colorful, sparkliest vomit you could ever imagine.
Carri, hard to believe that your Thanksgiving is coming up next week, isn't it. The season is upon us!
That said, I want to weigh less at the end of it than I do now and truffles and etc. aren't worth gaining weight and being miserable over. Because I know in my heart that that kind of "treats" only make me happy very briefly and then I'm stressed and feel like a fat failure. Ugh.
Mel, glad things are starting to improve! Can't wait for your WI!
Arabella, yeah, BL wasn't bad this week. Glad they're done with the teams. I think I have to root for Ada, uh oh, is that her name? The Asian girl, anyway. And I do believe I will WI next Thursday instead of Saturday. The Black Friday extravaganza is not the thing to do on the day before WI! It's definitely physically draining, but not very aerobic... I'm going to try to remember your very important words- truffles aren't worth gaining weight!
I ended up using saved points and flex points last night. I let stress get to me and had a second helping of dinner and then four pieces of DGS' mini-Toblerone bar. I know I'm allowed to use the points but I also know I've got to be pretty strict to lose weight. I'm recommitting to eating only at the table because I don't think I would have been as tempted if it wasn't combined with watching a movie. All right -- now full steam ahead. Zumba again tonight.
Mel, for weigh-in on Saturday!
Auntie g, I'd say that's a good strategy for next week's WI -- that way you'll have the next week to incinerate any extras from TG & BF. Yeah, I need to have that truffle sentiment tattoed on my forehead and then look in the mirror before I head to the kitchen.
Morning Girls...today is our work pitchin for Thanksgiving, they do it a week early since alot of us are out next week...looks like just cold cuts and sides, sandwhich type of thing, so shouldnt be too bad...dh started last night back on his low carb eating...I will soon be joining him on that...I dont do real low but pretty low, it is best for my diabetes anyhow...he was grumpy last night though as he is also trying to quit smoking...the holidays should be a blast for us
Mel - good to hear things may be moving for you ...haha...hope you have a great weigh in and get under 200
Arabella - I did hear that the zumba is quite a workout ...I might try the dvd tonight as one of them is a 20 mins work out...the first disk takes you through all the steps slowly one by one which will be very helpful for me.
Auntie G - I also am rooting for Ada ...cant believe she didnt get any video from her family and that they blame her for her little brothers drowing, feel sorry for her, but glad she is doing okay on her own...great job for sticking to plan...you are doing so well !!
Liz - thanks - you are one of my favorite chicks too ....haha
Afternoon ladies, Boy oh boy did I have a night!
Dh threw up last night but said it was something he ate at lunch while he was working, then.......Logan decides right before bed he is going to throw up. Didn't this just happen last Thursday?! So then I start to feel nausea and took half a phenergan, I could of slept for days but got up at 5 to get DH up then 6 to get Cody off to school. I want back to bed and didnt get up until 11 (Logan was sleeping next to me). I am currently eating some dry cereal and drinking a little gatorade. Why can't these stomach problems just stay away!! Sorry about my rant I am just sick of this.
