Ladies one more pound and back to pre-summer weight (stayed at that from last January to June)

But then taking it seven pounds back to goal weight and then

After Thanksgiving another 6-7 to get a cushion

Oh Happy Day! The second day of Phase 1 did the trick and I'm back to the lovely number I'm used to seeing. YAY!

Way to go DARBS!! Well done on that many days on your reboot!!

So yesterday, second day of Phase 1...I always run on my phase 1 day because I find running decreases my hunger and I can handle it better as long as I go back into Phase 4 the next day. Well, yesterday (two days of Phase 1)...I had a hard time mentally, thank goodness I was at work and on a specific schedule! I think I phoned the VIP 3 or 4 times "OH MY GAWD, I'm SO hungry! I'm going to gnaw my arm off" to which his response was always "well, it would be good protein for you"...

I know I do better mentally if I don't exercise so if I had NOT run on Sunday yesterday would have been better. But hey, I did it and I'm happy now. But I don't know how some of you do it, cardio while phase 1ing most of the time...ugh! You guys (mom2c's/jenny/etc etc) have willpower tough as steel!

I think it's mainly timing. I have my dinner right after working out. By that time I am usually very hungry. If dinner is delayed I can be very mean!

I workout first thing in the morning, and I am not a morning person so I don't notice my hunger or my crankiness.

See, I find I'm not hungry at ALL but the next day I can feel it...and if I'm in Phase 4 I have more choices then sheer willpower.

VIP got crusty with me on the phone the other day near supper. So I let it go...then phoned him back after he ate and asked how he was doing and laughed at him. We had a great conversation over 'hangry'...he must have got snipped at a lot during my year in Phase 1! HAHAHA

Default Is this normal in phase 3?

I'm on my last few days of phase 3.
I gained 3 lbs. on the 3rd. day of phase 3 (which I know is normal).
I went from 150 lbs. to 153 - of course, I lost it right away and have continued to lose every day...this morning I weigh 146.
The only thing that i'm a bit "off" on when it comes to my meal plan is that i'm short 1/4 gram of fat in the morning.
I've even had extra IP snacks!
I thought phase 3 was to stabilize my weight - is it normal to continue to lose? When I was in phase 2 my weight was stable but phase 3 i've lost several lbs.
I start maintenance on Saturday.

Wow, can you believe i'm actually worried about losing any more weight?
My, how things have changed.
This program is unbelievable and has definately changed my life.
I'm constantly shocked when I think that 5 months ago I would NEVER have believed this was possible.
Thanks to all of you for inspiring me

Things will settle out at a maintenance weight. You will probably also still see some "rearranging" of fat/muscle. Just keep track of what you are doing and visit the scale regularly!

I wouldn't worry to much about it...I've seen 156 as a lower number. I don't think I actually 'stablized' until I was 'safely' into maintenance a few months. Embrace the extra cushion your body is giving you

Officially started maintenance today. Excited and a little freaked out. Now to read through this thread and add that info to what my coach has given me.

It's a very good day

Ish- I, too, had to do a 2nd P1 day after the weekend. Hopefully tomorrow will have me back at goal and can get back to P3-P4.

I have worked out both in the evening and first thing in the AM during P1 and never had a problem at either time. When I was working out after work (5:30), I would eat my restricted at about 4:30, which got me through the workout. Now I workout in morning (6:00 am) so it is always on an empty stomach. I still have a shake right after. Now I have my restricted at night. It will be interesting to see how working out in the AM will be now that I am back on maintenance eating. (I started AM workouts at the same time as my reboot).

Really hoping the scale cooperates tomorrow, I would love to have some fruit for breakfast

I read the most interesting thing. Some dieters get a "bonus week" of the body behaving as if it is in ketosis even though they are no longer below their carb threshold (and especially if they have spent some time in ketosis--a phase 1 day or week isn't likely to do this). So, it is possible that phase 3 (and the fat doesn't impact this) is either still within your carb threshold or this is your bonus time. You might get a bonus week the first week in phase 4. After that, it will look more normal for you. Sometimes, too, it is a calorie thing. (If only more calories means more weight loss in the long run!) I thought of it as my body finally understanding how to process food once the pancreas was back awake.

Coolchickinafat suit. Welcome to maintenance!

Thanks everyone for your support on my new picture!

Darbs: you are doing great on your reboot!

Jenny..I really miss the fruit on those P1 mornings also!!

Heitina: I kept losing in Phase 3..I think you will figure it out..and a nice cushion doesn't hurt.

I walked in the first snow yesterday!
