Hi everyone,
I'm back from my business trip. The cold I had turned into a nasty sinus infection. Flying is no fun when you have a sinus infection!

Managed to maintain weight while I was gone, which is probably the first for me. Usually gain 2-3 pounds while I'm gone.

I'm starting out with puny goals until I get done being sick. Will write more when I'm feeling better.

Calories < 2000
Food log every day

Rab, I'm sorry about your dog. I had to put my 17-year-old dog down about a year ago, and it was tough. Remember the fun times you had together!

Sorry about the dog Rab. But you did the right thing. Some **** folk would let her suffer.
Memories are great things and photos too, to comfort you at this time.

Day 9 - 4 servings of fruit/vegetables per day - pause - 1 pause left
Day 9 - No smoking - good - no pauses allowed!

Well another pause on the fruits/vegies. Still was too sick yesterday to eat or to count calories. However, I'm feeling much better today, so I'll get these challenges going again today.

Ashley - Glad to see you back, but sorry about that sinus infection. That would be horrible when you have to fly! Congrats on maintaining though, that's great!

Rab - So sorry about your dog, but it sounds like you did the right thing.

Have a great day everyone!

Challenge 1 - daily exercise
Challenge 2 - no unauthorized sweets.

I will post more later. Have to do doggy duty now.

Day 10 - No smoking - good - no pauses allowed!
Day 1 - Calories under 1800 - good - level 3

I'm feeling much better and got back to it yesterday. Today I've got to start exercising again. I hate it when I have to take a break like that. I could have exercised yesterday, but I was rather behind with household stuff from being sick for 2 days.

Thanks Red! Wow, you're getting so close on your challenges!

Shad - way to go!

Jolly- Glad to see you back!

Have a great day everyone.

Hello again. REd, way to go on your challenges. You rock. DJ - glad you are feeling better.

I had a good day. Both challenges met. I even feel good that I had planned a comfort food supper tonight, and only ate half (which is still PLENTY more than enough) and saved the rest. This is a much better choice than i have been making lately.

Both of my challenges are level 2.

Have a great night all

Crunch challenge -- Day 20 completed/1 pause of 3 left
No sugar -- Day 17 completed/0 pauses of 3 left

Heh all. So down today...really, really want to eat sugar, really want to pig out...am trying not to...four more days...

**************

dj -- Glad to hear you're feeling better. Thanks for the encouragement. You are just so awesome with the no smoking. People get pretty sick when they quit smoking. The body is getting rid of so much garbage. I did too and it ticked me right well, but it's the price you gotta pay. Stick with it! You need to do this for YOU!

rab -- Good for you! Congrats on reaching that goal! Why don't you post it over in the minigoal forum. I often go there for inspiration.

jolly -- Yes, it's good to see you back and I'm so happy you had a good day at last. You so deserve it! Keep tryin' kid!

Ashley -- Sorry to hear you were/are sick too. Get better soon! Those don't sound like minigoals to me! I'd be hard put to do 'em. Best of luck!

Apple, Shad, sweet pea, Lost, Sushi, London, how are you?

OK - this is not working. I've been on steroids for for five days, and have gained three pounds. All I do is eat! Haven't met even the small goals. I think I do better when I have a more rigid structure, so I'm going to reset my goals.

Calories - <1500
Vege/fruit - at least 5 servings per day
Food log every day
Exercise - 30 minutes per day

Hey all. Just a quick post to say good morning, as I pause in cleaning. The weather is taking a turn for the cooler, much cooler, so I am trying to keep outside stuff to a minimum, and get it done quickly. I am off to the gym in a bit though, after a chiropracter appointment.

Have a wonderful day all. Keep up the great work you are all doing. Here's to day 2 for me
