Happy Friday to all!
I am just making a quick little check in. I just got home from the lake, and had really no trouble staying on my plan. I also convinced a couple of my friends they needed to get healthy with me (A bathing suit and a mirror was all it took! LOL) Needless to say, I lost 2 pounds while at the lake, Of course my official weigh in will be Tuesday, but I have the weekend planned, and am ready to stick to it!YAY

Check In Time

Yesterday was another 100% OP day. Looking forward to another today.

Last year I bought a digital scale. What a God send!

It's so encouraging to see the numbers move by 2/10th's of an pound. It's almost like clock work. Every other day or so the scale moves a little more.

This morning I'm 252.2. Maybe by tomorrow (weigh in day) I'll be a new number.

Hope everyone has a good day & a great weekend!

After plugging it into MULTIPLE websites and iPhone apps, I have officially reached an overweight BMI. Before I had just looked at the chart for 5'5" when I'm actually 5'5.5". I never bothered looking at the in-between weight for 5'5 and 5'6 on the chart. So when I plugged my real height into all these websites and apps I showed up as overweight on every single one. At my height you are overweight up to 183 lbs and as of today I am 182.6! I haven't been overweight since grade 8!

Well I have definitely been missing in action for about a week. There's been a lot going on over the past few days. For 3 days I was confined to bed and the ER because of a serious migraine. It completely put me out of commission. I don't know if anyone else on here suffers from migraines but they are absolutely brutal. Then it was DH's b-day so the day was spent at Six Flags and a water park and I'm proud to say that I was strutting my stuff in a brand new bikini that I bought for the occasion.

My eating for DH's b-day was terrible. We went to the Cheesecake factory and I downed a piece of Red Velvet cheesecake (which was absolutely divine), then the following day at Six Flags I had some nachos w/extra cheese and a big ol' pepsi. It was the first time I had a soda in about 10 months. It tasted great and I felt a little guilty afterwards but it's nothing I couldn't overcome. So I got back into the gym on Thursday and back to my normal routine.

I weighed in this morning and I'm down to 156.8, which puts me officially over the 50lb loss point. I really couldn't be happier. When I first started this journey I was restricting myself from everything and I was miserable, but I've now learned that every once in a while it's ok to enjoy something that I'm really craving. I just have to remember that it's a treat and not an everyday indulgence.

I'm going to be traveling to California on business on Wednesday for about a week, so this is going to be a big test for me. But I'm ready to meet this challenge head on and do what needs to be done to stay on plan.

Today is my official weigh-in day for this challenge. I'm not sure if I'm going to meet my 10lb goal for the month, but progress is progress no matter how slowly or quickly it happens. Hope everyone has a wonderful weekend

Sw- 161.4
Cw- 156.8
Gw- 151.4

Good afternoon/evening everyone!

I've been runnin' around like a chicken with my head cut off here for a couple days trying to pack for our trip and get the house ready for MIL to come watch the kids while we're gone. Then the kids had a playdate and I went to the store to stock up for MIL, then we had some friends over for supper last night, so it's just been crazy busy, but fun stuff. The scale has done nothing AT ALL. It's been a tad frustrating since I was thinking I'd easily meet my goal for the month, but I'm not gonna stress. I feel incredible and still get compliments on my appearance that confirm that I'm indeed now a healthy, happy weight for my build. Vacation will probably include some indulgences, but I've learned better than to overdo it. I've made that mistake enough to know it feels nasty afterward. I plan to come back from vacation feeling like I handled my food choices well and got lots of fun activity!
Congrats to those who've moved to a new weight category! Those are awesome milestones on the journey and I'm so proud of everyone for sticking with it even when the scale is stuck for a bit and other challenges get thrown in there too! Continue the fantastic choices, ladies...YOU ROCK!!!!

Check In Time

Hopeful8 I get migraines too. Have had them for 3 days also. That said, I can't imagine how bad they have to be to end up in the ER. Glad you're feeling better. Here's hoping your next headache is 40 years from now

Ms. P
- Enjoy your vacation

ap90 - Congratulations! That must be so exciting! I'd love to weigh what I did in the 8th grade

Today is my weigh in day - I'm down another pound

Hope everyone has a good day!

Good morning!
Just checking in, with my favorite ladies!
SusieMartinYou are making it happen! You must be so proud of yourself! Hope you have a great on plan day!
Hopeful8Glad your head is better! I think I saw your bikini pics in another thread! OMG You look FABULOUS!!!! Congratulations on all your hard work, it really shows.
Ap90 Congrats on your new awesome BMI # That is really great news! I have seen people on here track their BMI on their tickers. I think they use an outside ticker sight, but I can't remember its name. It will probably come to me later today, while driving in the car LOL, maybe someone else can remember before me......
MsPYou poor dear! I need a vacation after just reading your post! I know you will have a great time, and do fine on finding the balance with food and activity! Be safe, and have a blast for all of us! We will hold down the FAT, uh I mean FORT till you return!

As for me today, the scale shows me down a bit, but My official WI is not til Tuesday! Myself and a couple of girlfriends, are starting our dieting for cash on Tuesday also. We decided it is $5/week and the person who loses the most % of body weight gets the pot each week. But if you gain any, you also owe $1 for every pound you gained that week. Money can be such a great motivator! I hope it will make it easier to stay on plan with some added support. Hope you all have a great Fathers Day!

Good morning, everyone! Sorry I haven't been around much in the last month or so. Now that my back is (mostly) healed up, I've had less time for the computer. I've been excercising a lot in my free time and now that we're taking a homeschooling break for the summer, I have less time on line (I used to go online while sitting with my kids who were working on their own projects).

Anyhow, I'm stopping in to say that as of this morning, I have met my June goal of 216 lbs. That also put me down a total of 70 lbs! 16.1 LBs to Onderland!

Hello Chicklets,

I've read, but not had time to post, I haven't done an official check-in for a couple days and it feels like forever!

eclipse: that's fantastic! I'm so proud of you--70 pounds is amazing. You must feel great. It sounds like you'll be getting more activity in for the summer months and that will get you to onederland in no time! Yippee!

LE: Congrats on being down a bit--hopefully by Tuesday you'll be down even more. The money challenge sounds great--you can motivate yourself to will by planning what you'll buy with the cash when you save it all up!

susiemartin: doesn't it feel like a dreamworld when the weight just keeps flying off? Yay for you!

MsP: isn't it crazy how we overload our time schedules even when we know it's going to make us stressed? At least it's all fun stuff, so that helps keep it in perspective. Have a great trip, and you can enjoy it more knowing you have the knowledge and willpower to enjoy food without overdoing it, and you have the motivation and strength to do the exercise needed to make up for the indulgences. Awesome.

hopeful8: down 50 pounds! wahoo, that's fantastic. Good luck on your trip--California grows some fantastic produce, so make sure you take advantage of it and you'll do fine. Take some walks and enjoy the scenery. WTG on the bikini!

ap90: I remember the feeling of hitting that overweight BMI, and suddenly feeling like I wasn't on a crash course to major health issues anymore because I was no longer "obese." lol. Good for you!

NightAngel: I remember you talking about bf's lasagna way back when--and how worth it it is to indulge. That was a while back, so it doesn't sound too often to enjoy something you love! I know of the Diva Cup. I remember my sister, nearly 20 years ago talking about it--I don't believe it was called the same thing, but she loved it. I'm surprised it took this long to get to the mainstream, and don't know why I never tried it...let me know how you like it.

My weightloss is finally back on track and being pretty consistent. I'm down to 166.8 today. I went to a wedding reception last night, and did fine on the eating and drinking, and we danced a lot. It's tonight I'm worried about. We're hosting a Turducken Dance Party. We've had a turducken in the freezer since Christmas. A chef made them for our CSA members and we wanted to try one, so finally the time has come to try it. We've also had a ton of fun with dance parties and have been wanting to plan another one, so this is the night. Turducken Dance Party! We are going to eat, drink and dance. My goal is to dance off more calories than I eat and drink. I'm going to go exercise right now to make sure I get some cals burned ahead of time. Wish me luck!

Since vacation I have found it hard to get back to maintaining my goals. I haven't been tracking (other than in my head) and I've been only drinking 32-48 oz of water. I've lost 2.8 pound, so 2.2 to go and I believe I have stayed within points, but who knows when I don't track. Rather than giving in to the temptation to quit I am re-committing today to tracking all intake, staying within my points and drinking a 64-110 oz of water/day. If I do that the remaining 2.2 should come off!
To all of those who are doing well, congratulations! And I welcome those who may have fallen off course to re-commit with me!

Wink check in...

hello ladies....looks like all is well on this board.

susiemartin- WOOHOOO for OP days. Congrats on the willpower....send me some willpower dust when you get a min !!

ap90- it's amazing to hit a new low isin't it? What a rewarding experience. Do you have goal treats for yourself?

Lewisempire- The lake is a great place to burn off some cals, so much more fun I think than the regular grind exercises. congrats!

Hopeful8- omg on the migraines...I don't get them often but my bf and former do/did. It was terrible watching them find no relief in pain medicines and it lasted forever. I'm sorry it's been so bad for you. Do you have a cause of them?
On another note, WOOHOOO for bikini land! hope you had fun and felt fantastic! Good luck on your travels too.

Ms Perception- Hey I get ya with the busy, I had some friends and their kids stay for like 5 days now, and we barbecues, went swimming, caught a movie... just whew! I'm kind of a home body though and I get irritated if I can't have a couple days at home often....so yesterday I refused a fishing trip (not that I fish, it's a swimming place too)...just wanting time to myself. Good luck with MIL... I've never met mine, she lives in Hawaii.

eclipse - Yay for you making goal!!!! where I am now I can't imagine what 70lb loss is like, but it must be amazing!

LouisaH- Oh yes the lasagna...didn't seem to set me back much...if any. Hard to tell w TOM....

TMI ALERT!!- Diva cup is an interesting thing. I got it in time to try it out a few days. It certainly is different. There's a few brands out there some only foreign. I think for me I need one with a longer stem...can be hard to get out...if it's in correctly it works very well, bit of a struggle at first. Takes getting used to I think. When it's not quite right though I get back and front cramps, and if it's in a while....which I think has to do with suction....makes sense anyway. I think if you don't mind messing around a bit it can be useful, however it is not recommended for people with IUDs, and I decided to not use it when I have to put my nuva-ring in, I figure opposing forces could be tricky.

Nice job doing well at a wedding reception.... what is a turducken? I mean by the name I can guess, but how does that happen?

goodnuff- well, it can be hard once you fall off to get on, but recognizing what you need to do is a great step. We're here for you.

Default My stuff....

Ok, so I'm down a lb now...trying to stay on track and stay exercising. It's going ok. I'm getting in my half hour most of the time. It is not often on my wii though, the guys have been hogging it and I prefer not to have too much of an audience when I do get to play on it....or in exercising in general.

I did buy myself a bike, I figured I'd cover more ground than walking and get more exercise in less time...sorta. Unfortunately my bike was not put together well, we have to adjust it and inflate the tires....so I haven't rode it yet. I'm excited though.

I am mostly on plan, and hope to keep it up. I'm trying to keep a journal of activities and food as well as my online one. I'm a list writer of course....it helps.

Also, if it is nice today I want to swim, it's a great way for me to get my exercise as I spend forever in the water and eat less when I do.
