That is a link to the commonly used acronyms. OP= on program

As for the tracker if I remember correctly (IIRC) you have to be here for 20 days and have a certain number of legit posts.

HTH (hope this helps)

Happy Monday, Everyone
I went camping with friends this weekend and managed to stay on plan. I didn't have a scale, but am pretty good at estimating amounts, and just stuck with the basics...lots of protein, salad and the alotted fruit and carb.. Saying no thanks to Margaritas wasn't easy, but I just told myself not an option and didn't dwell on it. I am so happy not to be living in the deep dark Cavern of Regret .
I skipped the scale last week, anticipating a plateau...and yup...it's here...I weighed today and no movement one way or the other. I do notice a big difference is how my clothes fit, so I'll just hold on to that til the stubborn scale retreats. TOM is looming, and while I was on plan this weekend, the eating times were off, so lots of reasons for unchanged weight. I should be able to get back to the normal routine this week, so hopefully next Monday I'll see a drop.

Wishing everyone an On Plan week with lots of losses

Hello everyone! And belated Happy Birthday to you, Connie!

I think I have hit a bump in the road of my weight loss. I've been very careful to stay OP to get these last 9 pounds off and leveling off where I am now.

I have increased exercised so the scale went up to 161 on Saturday but was down to 159 today. I thought since my extremely long TOM is now over I would see my usual 2.5 to 3 pound drop. Didn't happen this time.

Oh well. I WI tomorrow so we'll see what another day brings.

Good luck to everyone this week.

Connie - Happy Birthday!!!! 22 pounds lighter is definitely an accomplishment to be proud of.

Brandy - Have a great time on your vacation!!!!

Valarie - Welcome!!! Hope to see you hear often. As FIF said, you have to be a member of 3FC for 20 days (and they mean to the minute LOL) and have 20 legit posts. After that, you will be able to add a ticker. It's been a great motivation tool for me. Good luck!

Raven - Congrats on remaining on plan! That's awesome!!! And definitely stick with the plan, no matter how long the plateau. I lost a lot of inches during that time and the scales do eventually catch up.

Little Edie - I'm rooting for you! Even thought it's the last nine pounds, treat it like it's the first nine. I know you can do it!

I weighed in this morning and am doing great! 161.5 on their scales. That's 2.5 pounds since last Thursday. My scale actually read 161.0 so that means I've gotten rid of that 5 pound weight gain in 5 days. If only it were always that easy to drop 5.

I think I'm in the same place Raven is - plateau time. I knew one had to be coming. It doesn't help that while I stayed on plan as much as possible this weekend, my meal times were pretty far off and I didn't drink enough water. I'll go WI tomorrow...I just hope I've maintained and don't see a gain.

Welcome to our new members! This is a great place!

Little edie, you can do it! I love Jen's advice - treat these last 9 pounds like the firs 9 pounds!

Default New need advice

I just started two weeks ago. However I have been on vacation that entire time. I have managed to lose 11 lbs during that time but I have a lot of questions. We do not have a center in my home town so we only have the option of weighing in once a week? Does anyone weigh in more than that? If so do you find it more beneficial? I have never been a huge water drinker and I am learning to drink it but can you substitute crystal light or something with flavor? I am excited to have found support and guidance of people going through the same life changes. Paige

I normally only go to the center to weigh in once a week. For me the twice a week isn't feasible. I've never been a huge water drinker either and have found it not too bad to get around 80 oz a day. If you add anything to your water unfortunately it does not count toward your water count. I asked why not and was told because what you add has to be processed by your body. You want the plain water to rehydrate and nourish not take more energy to process. HTH

I weigh 2 times a week...Tues. and Fri. I think it helps because when I weigh on Tues. and have a loss it makes me want to try to lose more by Friday.(Does that make since?) Or if I maintain I want to see the scales down on Friday. It's all a mind game with me and I have to talk to myself alot.

As for the water, I think it's hard for me. I have to set a schedule. Drink 32oz. by lunch, 24oz. during lunch and 32 more ounces by dinner. And it has to be plain water. Also I tell myself if you drink your water by an certain amount of time you can have a Sprite Zero. Sometimes if I drink other things than water I don't get my water in. You would think it would be easy during the summer with 100 degree weather but not for me.

Good Luck and awesome weight loss so far!!

jakesmommy - Glad you found us too!

LetHerOut - Don't let the plateau get to you. Just remember, even though the scale may not show it, your clothes will show you that you are still losing. Hang in there!

PTSwim - Welcome to you too! I'm lucky enough that I can weigh in twice a week, but I have a center not too far from me. As for the water, FIF is absolutely correct. It has to be plain water to count. Also, my center recommends to take your weight, divide by two, and that's how many ounces you should be drinking of plain water. Talk about an incentive to stick with the plan. LOL The more weight you lose, the less water you have to drink.

Fluffy In Florida - Hope you are doing well!!!

Stone - As you said, it's a mind game. In fact, most of the program is a mind game. Once you get your mind in the right place, the body will definitely follow.

Scales are still moving in the right direction. If I can lose close to another 0.8 by tomorrow (our center's scales weigh to the half pound which is why I say "close"), I can sign the 40 pound board.

Thanks JenB...I'm doing better today. Just been a little down by the gain and not loss last week, not to mention the weird vibes from my main contact at the center. The food was getting to me too. My husband has been so supportive and eats everythign I do, so when I get home I hurry to cook dinner so he can eat early. He gets up real early so likes to eat at least a couple hours before he has to go to bed. He also said he doesn't want me to have to be in the kitchen so late preparing meals for the next day and having to cook dinner that he is now cooking dinner for me. I just open the cookbook up to the meal we are going to have and it's ready when I get home. I think I would be struggling even more if he wasn't so wonderful!

I had my maintenance weigh in today and gained one pound.. What I experimented with this week, and will not do again , is I made a trail mix, with oats, raisins, nuts.. I had 1/4 cup.. Glad I did not add the M & M's in there, that would have been another pound.. So will be careful from now to Friday when I weigh in.. I am now 4 pounds under goal, where I want to be 5 under.

I can't believe they were trying to sell me another supplement today when I was very clear with them last week, that I was not going to take any supplements for a
month to see if I can maintain without them. Of course I did not buy it.

Thanks for the info. My contact drives to Birmingham every week on Thursdays. She is great about calling but I sometimes don't have questions until later so it really helps that y'all have been there. Okay so did everyone exercise the first few weeks? Do they recommend a certain amount if time. Since I was out of town since I started I haven't been back to weigh in. We didn't discuss exercise when I signed up. I hope everyone had a good and successful day.
