Hahaha! Oh Delphi you sound like me!

I have Looney Spoons and Crazy Plates (forgot to mention that these are the names of some low cal low fat cookbooks--not a description of my plates and spoons ) and honestly, I've only made a couple of things out of them (one of my goals next month is to try at least one new recipe a week--that's how bad I am at cooking! ). Of the things I've tried, they're pretty darn good.

I also just got the Hungry Girl 200 Under 200 cookbook and although I haven't tried anything yet, the recipes look simple enough, it's just going to be one of those one you have to preshop for because she uses a lot of interesting ingredients--like non-dairy powdered creamer for instance. Hungry Girl has a website with recipes there too. You might take a lok and see if anything strikes your fancy. www . hungrygirl . com is the addy I believe.

Either name will be fine for now since you might see me as both...doing a little testing on my own. Hopefully it will be TOTALLY resolved soon. I just like having the notifications but if I can deal with Jacque9999 with out them, I might retire NewJacque all together..Logging off as NJ...be right back as the old me.

Hi girls.....guess what? DH came home with He called me on his way back from H.D and said, "I don't want to tempt you or anything but I was thinking to get some papa ginos on the way home, d o you want any?" I replied, "no, you can get some but I am not having any". He then says, "will you order it for me?" sure, lol. I was on the wii again doing lateral steps on the free step things and when I called and ordered it the girl says to me, you sure you dont want a large cheese too? It's only 5 dollars more! I say no!

DH just had a root canal and I hadn't gone grocery shopping yet. After he told me his tooth hurt and he couldn't chew anything tonight I told him I have soup on hand. He perked right up, oh good! Yeah, I have those campells soups you tried once and liked. Can't blame the guy! lol. He is very supportive and by no mean a subconscience sabotager. I told him to put the pizza in the oven when he is done, keep it out of my sight. I am up here hiding! lol

Well I am proud of myself for saying because that food is my absolute weakness! The night isn't over yet though. GOd help me, hope he eats it all, lol. I will tell him to cover any leftovers in tinfoil and put it in the fridge. I typically feed my pom the cheese too (she loves it) but he is taking care of her as we speak (I hear the little darling barking right now, lol). I am telling you this to hold myself accountable. I have come too far after getting back on track ,after last weekend and all that jazz, to muck it up now.... I would be miserable. We only have a few more days left to our month and I am going on the wii to weigh myself on MOnday and working hard to not see a gain from all that happened last week.

To cut to the chase chickies, and forgive me for all the , I want to share what helped me and what gave me strength. Well, you girls for sure! Being a part of our team and working together. The other thing that always helps me is having the workout done in the first part of the day....I had already done my workouts when DH called so who wants to blow it after all that hard work? **** no! It really helps. I alsoooooo had a lot of water so I wasn't feeling famished. Last but not least, the inspiration from all of you and the sharing....it helps in so many ways. Urockmom, you had mentioned floating around for the past few months...I have too in a sense and I still have long to go. That gave me a reality check as well. JUst an example to all of you of how every bit of info helps in some way, though I think we all realize this...it is just so cool and I never cease to appreciate it. Sometimes it just helps something to click or it's a reminder. Delphi, when you suggested that Jacqui drink less water to feel hungry (so as not to miss meals) it only reinforced my drinkinggggggggg LOTSSSSSSSSS of water to not feel hungry! Okay, I am going to now. I just want to say thanks girls , stay strong...we are almost at the end of our month.

I am here later than usual, and there were a ton of posts to catch up to!
So, I will just jump right in

crazymamaof4: Good job at staying away from those cookies, you rock! And way to work that scale...173 is awesome, your hard work is sure paying off

JasonsLea: That's too bad about the lb. I am sure you'll get rid of it in no time!

Delphi: Ouch with your poor muscles...If it helps any, thing of them as a badge of honour for a job well done!
For Christmas I bought my BIL this book to try and get him started cooking for himself..needless to say, he didn't want it and now I have it. I have not used it much, but it looks like all the recipes are easy to make and they list nutritional information for them. It's called Healthy Cooking For Two (or just you) and it's written by an RD.

Jacqui_D: Oh my..congratulations on the new decade!!! How exciting!

Ms. P: Yay! for the internet, looking forward to seeing you a lot around here

FSA:

Jacque9999
: Keeping my fingers crossed for your account to get fixed

I totally forgot to share this with you yesterday but I had a couple of really cool things happen:
I went shopping on Tuesday looking for some bed sheets, and as I was in the department store, I decided to try a size 12 pair of pants just to see how much I had to go till they fit. And guess what? they actually fit already! They are a tiny bit tight, but since they were on sale I bought them anyway..I was thinking that now I should actually start buying clothes because I like them and not because they fit, KWIM?
Then yesterday, as I was going to see my friend, I took the skytrain, which is sort of like a subway. As I got into the car, this lady sits next to me and asks me to tell her about my jeans..I must have looked really puzzled. So she then explained: "You see all these women wearing jeans, but yours fit so well..where did you buy them?" I had never ever been complimented by a stranger on how my clothes fit..I was totally over the moon
Maybe my hard work is really paying off, huh?

Have a great fun weekend!

Hi Girlies!
Just popping in quick before we go to dinner. It's a buffet but it has healthy choices. Yay! But I was just reading your post FSA and decided to chug down some water before I go. I agree with the early workouts helping keep you in check. My work schedule makes it impossible to do that right now. I get up at 3 or 4AM now and I can't get up earlier then that.

Great will power FSA!!!

Joci, sorry you are having an identity crisis. I hope the glitches get fixed soon!

CMo4~ I like hungry girl too. I always forget to check it out though and go to All recipes . com first. I love to read the reviews. Great job on your workout and getting your house cleaned.

Delphi~ Hey chick! I don't use cookbooks but I look online and print stuff out and put them in my own binder. Then I write which family member liked or disliked it. Then I plan my shopping list around it and plan my menu out.

Ms P ~ sorry no loss but you are probably right with needing more hydration. Yay on new internet access at in-laws.

urock~ I read the other day about you needing to get angry. I hope you can get that super motivated feeling back. Think about what you want, where you need to be and fight for it! We are here for you!!!

I'm not going to get to everyone tonight. Sorry! I have to get moving...Have a wonderful weekend everyone!!

ay ay ay, I was writing to you all and lost my post! Oh I hate that. Well you know what they say, "if at first you don't succeed, try try again" so here goes!

Ms Perception, I was saying how happy I am that your getting internet at your in laws (for you, me too, and all of us). Congratulations girl THat is super news. Wish I hadn't lost the post but I was saying something about how you managed to carry on and continue to maintain and even lose weight despite all the changes, the move, not having internet (but still finding ways to get here and reach us) and just really for everything. You have and are doing amazing and I just want to say congrats to you for it all. wtg chicky, let's keep on rocking it and take it all the way home! I'm happy about the ex. th read too, big time! . Have a great weekend and June 3rd, here we come! .

crazymama, good kids! lol I did have my water today and it's a good thing! It really did help. Wtg on the treadmill workout

Delphi, It is ironic you mention the cooking because I was thinking of taking a break from it and going away from it for awhile. I've been doing a lot of thinking of what my next plan will be come our new month but more on that later (just ready for a change). As for cookbooks, I have a lot but usually make my fav's. THinking about some healthy dishes you might like...let me ponder on it awhile and if I think of something, I will let you know for sure. Do you like potatoes, eggplant, green zucchini, and onions? Betty crocker is often a good cookbook to start with and prob a measuring cup and some spoons if you decide to go that route. You sound interested in learning which is neat! Not everyone likes it, its just a personal thing. I am sure we will be sharing ideas and recipe's along the way

Jacquee, I don't think ....well I know I don't get notifications or emails everytime someone posts. I do see the egg yolk thing though when there are new posts (is that what you mean?). I am sure they will do everything they can to rectify the problem. Ohhhhhhhh, congratulations on mom and sophie arriving last night! Welcome to them and have a wonderful weekend together!

Newshinyyyyyyy me, OMG! that so rocks! yesssssssss! wow! That is so cool! Congrats on the new jeans and that lady commenting on them that way! THanks for sharing....oh that would of made my dayyy...my week! lol wtg girl! thanks, let's keep it going.

urockmom, it never cleared up! Jeesh! Good thing I did my workouts...it payed off in more than one way. The weeds are having a field day out there, lol. I have got to get to them next week if not sooner. Onto a new and day tomorrow .

Have a great night girls.

FSA ~ Umm, I like potatoes. None of that other stuff though. Yeah, I'm gonna look around online and see what I can find. I despise cooking, which why I love my croc pot. If it can be made in that or the oven, I'm golden.

Lene ~ Hiya girlfriend! What's shakin? Good to hear from you. Great idea about the binder...that may be a viable option for me..thanks!

Newshinyme ~ Thanks for the recommendation, I'll look into to it. And hey look at you getting compliments and all that jazz. Good for you. You deserve it, as hard as you have been working.

FSA ~ Awe I feel the same way and I definitely understand. You did well with the whole situation and I am sooooo proud of you for handling in the manner you did.

Well here I am playing catch up again. Sigh
I have had a rough week and been sick.
Sunday we went to the park for a bike ride, just me and hubby. It was a nice time. Then Monday of course we ate- lol
Tuesday was Breawna's 16th bday. We went to Shipshewana, which is a town that holds a HUGE flea market. We spent 2 1/2 hours doing nothing but walking. Wow- we were worn out.
Wed I got sick and havent felt very well since, so I only got 2 days of exercise this week. TOM finally showed up, 3 weeks late, so I haven't gotten weighed this week, but I don't foresee it being good. I am going to take Crazymama's advice and take measurements for next month.
Breawna however lost one more lb- yeaaaa

I am playing catchup reading so back to that :-)

Keep working at your goals :-)
