Well, I think it looks wonderful!! The bangs are darling! And the color on the computer looks red, and red is my favorite hair color!! I'm a blonde and I've dyed my hair red five times, with permanent dye, only to have it turn completely blonde again within 2 weeks!! It's so frustrating! But hey, now that I'm battling some gray, blonde's not looking too bad, lol!!

Well, I can't believe it, but when I got away from my usual schedule today to spend time with my daughter, I forgot to eat lunch and snacks again!! And I didn't even realize it until I was making dinner at 6:30! I reached down to get a pan and came back up really light-headed! I ate breakfast at about 7:00 this morning and then my daughter showed up. After her dentist appt, I took her out for a late breakfast and I had green tea. And that was it until dinner! How do you go 12 hours without remembering to eat? I just don't get it. And I thought I had this problem licked, but obviously not. All it takes is a distraction. During the summer there may be lots of distractions! I'm really going to have to watch this.

Hi Girlies!
Just got home from beint out all day visiting my friend who has a little baby. We had a lovely time and got lots of walking too. Summer is finally here, so it made things so much nicer!

Lene: You got it! I will be using your words against...well...for you when you need it

FSA: LOL at the 911 officer. It reminds me of some story going around on the internet about this lady that kept calling 911 asking for them to send that cute officer that had come by the first time she called. I actually just went and looked for it. Thank you for the support too The water has been good, although I should get into the habit of actually counting my glasses just to be certain.
How are those minutes coming along?

Jacqui: Thanks! I am indeed very lucky to have stumbled upon this little awesome corner of 3FC. And of course, like everyone said. THANK YOU for organizing this whole thread
Delphi: First of all...Happy Birthday to your son!
Wow! I am just in awe. You have come such a long way, and it seems that now you have a really good strong character, you should be so proud of yourself. And now, you are taking charge of your body and your health. Awesome!

CMo4: Get better soon!
Woo hoo! For getting things moving in the right direction again Hope you had fun on your trip!

Ms. P.: How did it go at your WW meeting?

Urockmom: Hope you are getting angry at the weight and not at yourself... kick that weight’s butt!

NewJacque: Love the hair! I was a bit confused when I saw your new name, LOL, hopefully all your troubles will be solved now.

Now I go update my exercise thread, have a grrrrreat! evening all!

I'm baaaaaaack! Hee hee, I just had to come post personals before I turn in for the night.

FSA~ Thanks for the congrats! The day trip was a long time coming--we've been trying to get together since Jan. and things kept getting in the way. So, I couldn't let a sore throat and a bad night's sleep stop me! Good for you getting your extra mins in! I'm proud of you--amazing how much working out makes you feel better isn't it? I really need to figure out which Wii system I want to get--the Wii Fit or the Personal Trainer one--they both sound so fun!

MsP~ you WILL lose that weight! Look at how far you've come already! You really should be proud of yourself, you've done an amazing job! Good luck with WI tonight! Do be sure come back and update us!

Delphi~ aww, thanks hun! I am trying to stay upbeat about being sick, because heck, it's just a dang cold. It's not like I've been sidelined with a broken limb or something. Funny thing is, up until a couple months ago--this cold would have stopped me! It would have given me an excuse to take it easy and stop working out. Ha! Not now though! Take that you stupid sore throat!!! AHA!! Now, as far as the cake & ice cream goes--girl, after the month you've had, I say go for it! It's not going to do any harm, you're an exercisin' machine! Just don't go overboard and you'll be golden!

urockmom~ getting up earlier than you need to stinks doesn't it? Ahh, but if it must be done, it must be done! I too am going to start waking up at the crack of dawn to get my workouts in. There are some nights that I want to wait until hubby gets home to make dinner for him and I (nights when certain things are better hot and not re-heated--like squash or asparagus, stuff like that) and I don't want to be working out on a full stomach or worse yet, at 9:30-10:00! So, I need to channel my former early rising self and haul myself outta bed!! So, if you want to whine, vent and yell--we can do it together! I'm sure Delphi will get a big hearty laugh at hearing our misery! About getting mad--I hear ya! Something about getting pissed makes the determination skyrocket!

Jacqui~ I think that post nasal drip is my issue too. I feel pretty decent after I'm up for a couple of hours, but right before bed and right when I wake up, it's painful. However, my glands are swollen too, so I dunno. I just hope it's not strep or something like that--that's all I need, for me to have strep and to pass it around to all of the kids at the start of Summer vacation! Sheesh! Don't fret about that pound, I bet you'll be in the 180's by the end of May. Pre-TOM, TOM, Post-TOM, it all stinks! Amazing how TOM can mess with your water retention, appetite, mood, motivation...sheesh, like it's not punishment enough to have to go through TOM as it is! But anyway, keep staying OP and you'll see those 180's in no time! Oooh, and you need to get yourself a watch with an alarm and set it for every 3 hours or so--that way you won't forget to eat! T'sk, t'sk! You bad girl you! Don't let it happen again! Your body needs fuel girlie!!

Jacque~ man, it sounds like you've had a heck of a time with your acct! I hope things get straightened out soon and that you start getting notifications and stuff.

NSM~ sounds like you had a fun day! I love getting to see sweet little babies! My trip was fun, thanks for asking!

Well, there, I think got everyone. If I missed someone, I'm sorry!

Trip was fun despite the constant rain. The kids had fun inside and my friend and I got to chat quite a bit considering there were 7 kids in the house (8 at one point actually). I stayed OP and drank my 64oz of water while I was there.

Okay, now I gotta get this off my chest...I love my friend dearly and wouldn't trade her for the world, but I gotta say, when she didn't make a single solitary remark as to the nearly 25 lbs I've lost since the last time she saw me (I was around 200 lbs then)--it bummed me out! She's one of those naturally skinny girls, vegetarian, is outside all the time, etc., blah, blah--but she's also the kind of person who bakes a cake for dinner. Today was a prime example. I walk into her house and am hit in the face by the glorious smell of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies. Okay, fine. I put it out of my mind and go about playing with the kids, chatting with my friend...Later, when lunchtime rolled around she makes the kids quesadillas and apples. Now, she usually has something separate for us (as do I when she comes over) but not today. She doesn't make or pull anything out for us. No biggie, I'm not hungry and I brought a protein bar just in case she had something crazy yummy prepared. Well, the only thing that girl ate for lunch was cookies. And not a bunch, just a couple. That's the only thing I saw her eat all day! Well, a couple of cherries too, but come on! Cookies for lunch? I tell ya, I coulda smacked her! I swear she doesn't eat enough, I KNOW she doesn't but her defense is, "I am not underweight and my BMI is in the healthy catagory." How am I supposed to argue with that? So, I don't. Anyway, I was really glad I brought my protein bar! And no, I didn't have a single cookie.

Other than that, it was a fun time and despite feeling exhausted on the way home, I managed to get a second wind once I got home and I got my work out in before dinner (although it was a shorter workout that usual).

Ooh, lastly I weighed myself before I worked out (I always do, just to remind myself that slacking on the exercise isn't an option ) and you're never gunna believe what I saw!!! 1 7 3 !!! OMG! Now, I KNOW it was a fluke and it won't stick, but WOW was it nice to see that #! And I tell ya, it sure motivated me to get my butt downstairs and onto that treadmill!

Okay, well, I'm getting tired and I need to get to bed. Hopefully I actually sleep tonight! I've been having insomnia something terrible this week! Have a great night girls and I'll see you tomorrow!

TOM is gone but he left a 'present': 1 lb. ***.

Tomorrow is payday! Anyone got plans for the weekend?

NSM, we are lucky you stumbled upon this awesome corner of 3FC too!

CMof4, I certainly hope you get to feeling better! Swollen glands may just be a natural part of having a sore throat, but if you get a fever too, you make sure you get to a doctor, kiddo! And yes, I certainly agree with your assessment of TOM! What a royal pain all the way around! And yes, I must remember to eat! I have my cell phone alarm set, but lately my battery hasn't been holding a charge like it used to, and so before I know it, it's run out of juice! I'm always charging that thing! About your friend, that is disappointing that she didn't say anything. Nearly 200 lbs to 176/173 is noticeable by any standards! And I'm not sure why she would serve you the same fare as the kids. Do you think it was all just an oversight or do you think she was subconsciously or purposely trying to sabotage you? Some skinny friends are afraid they won't be recognized as being "the skinny one" anymore and they feel threatened by that. I will say this--by your description of how you love her and wouldn't give her up for anything, I can tell she has a great friend in you!!

Oooo, Shari, sorry to hear about the 1 lb gain left by Troublesome TOM, but don't fret about it too much. I'm sure it will come right back off!

That is so frustrating!!! When I was younger, I could eat like that too...not anymore!! Just know that you are living a healthier way...It might all catch up with her one day and then she will come to you for advice on weightloss and healthy eating. You are doing great, don't worry about what other people say/think....

Good Morning Ladies!

jasonslea ~ Hang in there kiddo, that pound is probably some left over water.

crazymomma ~ What a day you guys had..eh? Well I must say I'm impressed. After all that, you resisted, stayed on plan and even got your workout in, despite being exhausted from a very long day. Sounds like being over there was quite the temptation fest, but you handled it wonderfully. You thought ahead and controlled yourself. You should be very proud...I know I am. Now, for me weighing during the days makes me go up so if you did and you were down that much, I don't see how likely that could be a fluke? Lets hope it's not! Why the insomnia? A lot on your mind at night or can you simply not get to sleep?

Jacqui ~ Tisk tisk..eh? You know, I did the same thing the day I had court, so by the time I got home at four, I had only consumed about three hundred calories and had to eat *gulp* pizza, just to get my calorie count up. Both of us need to work on it, but seriously it's an honest mistake. You know, after I cut my water back, I've noticed I'm getting hungry now. I don't like it. I like feeling full often. I'd suggest perhaps trying an actual eight ounzes a day and see if your belly starts reminding you to eat.

Jacque ~ I like your new avatar to. Your beautiful chicky!

Newshinyme ~ Thank you! Sounds like you had a good time out. It's actually supposed to NOT rain here this weekend and I'm thrilled. Bring on the summer activities.

FSA ~ Have I mentioned how glad I am your back? Just had to throw that in there one more time.

So yesterday, I did that hour of strength training instead of cardio and I must say this morning I am so sore. Oh my goodness, it hurts. But I know I need to do it, I've been sorely lacking in that area, but I know I need to tone up. It really took the wind out of me yesterday, I was soooo tired by the end of the day, I ended up getting in bed at eight. Urg, all for the greater good for my body...eh? Well I just hope it goes away before our trip to the zoo, ( I wish we had profile's here we could add pictures to, I'd really like to share stuff like that with you gals) I don't want to be walking most of the day all sore. At any rate, I guess that's about it. You ladies have a great Friday! Remember those smiles and have a uberspectaculartantalizing Friday!!!

Goooooooooood Morning Girlies!!!!! Are you ready for another wonderful day? I know I am!

JasonsLea~ argh! Nothing worse than a 1 lb present from TOM! Hey, you drink all of your water and stay OP--it'll fall right off! TOM loves to leave water behind!

Jacqui~ yes ma'am! I'm be sure to get myself to the dr should I spike a fever! I'm a bit better today so I think I'm outta the woods as far as strep goes. About my friend, ya know, anyone else and I would think that they were jealous or trying to make me slip up, but that's not her. She's one of the most genuinely giving, loving, supportive people I know. I just don't think it's on her radar, kwim? I have gotten on her case about her eating habits--she really doesn't eat healthy at all other than fruits and veggies, she skips too many meals, eats a couple bites of food and declares she's finished...but, I'm not her mom and I don't want to nag her and make her mad, kwim?

Jacque~ thanks hun! We'll see what the future holds huh? About your acct--have you chatted with any of the admins about all your issues? I'm guessing they have the power to make your screen name anything you want. I just hope that all the problems you're having get fixed! I haven't signed up for notifications, so I don't know if it works for me or not ??

Delphi~ Yes, chocolate chip cookies were once a major temptation for me but not anymore! In fact, I seriously don't crave sweets at all anymore! I've got mixed emotions about that...What kind of strength training are you doing? Are you following the BFL book? Glad to hear you're feeling sore--it is a badge of honor remember? Take a couple of Advil and head out the to the zoo, I'm sure you'll be pain free in no time. As far as pics go--I'd love to see zoo pics! I'm a sucker for pics, have a Flickr account and the whole 9 yards!

Well girls, I had hubby wake me up at 6:00 to work out and here it is almost 7:00 and I'm here instead. I fell back to sleep, woke up at 6:30 and figured I'd check in while I do my morning cold routine of clearing out the gunk! As soon as I'm finished, I'm off to do my strength training!

I have some insane news! It turns out my scale wasn't on drugs yesterday! I woke up to see 173.4 today! Holy Cow! I can't believe it! Now, if I can just make it stick I'll be over the moon! So Delphi, you were right! I too go up during the day and have only gone down when I skip a meal or haven't gotten in my water for the day. I figured that because I had only about 650 calories in so far and hadn't eaten dinner that that's why it was so low, but perhaps not!

Whatever the reason----I'm stoked!

Okay girls, I need to make hubby's lunch and work out! Have a wonderful day and as always, be sure to...

Drink Your Water!!!

Ladies, notice anything different about my ticker?! I'm 189 lbs this morning!!! Woohoo!! I may not make goal this month of 187 but I've started a new "decade"!! How fun is that?! I don't know if I dropped that stubborn lb because I missed a meal and snacks yesterday (similar to calorie shifting where you fool your metabolism into running high by eating low cal one day and high cal the next) or if it's because I have done extra exercise the last couple of days, but I am so happy to see the 180s! I haven't been there for a couple of years! 170s here I come, baby!!

CMof4, I'm so glad you're feeling better! I'm also relieved to hear that your friend is a very good and loving friend to you and would not sabotage your efforts but rather just wasn't focused on them. You know, naturally thin people, although they may not actually be the healthiest because of their poor diet choices, they are thin because they don't even come close to overeating. They are like a rare exotic animal to me, one that I don't understand but am fascinated by, lol!

Delphi, you might have wanted to ease into strength training if you haven't done it in a while, lol! Leave it to you to do an hour's worth on your first day!! lol!! Oh girl, you tickle me! I hope you recover very quickly! Be sure to drink your water! Your sore muscles need it to repair themselves!

Joci, I agree with CMof4, maybe the administrators can get your original name back for you.

Have a great Friday, ladies!! Only 3 days left in May!! Woohoo!

Hi everyone

Sounds like a lot of really good days yesterday.

Jacqui, Crazymomma~ on the losses!!! YEAH GIRLS!!!

Jacque~ If they don't change your name, we'll keep calling you Jacque9999 anyway.

FSA~ Well, it was supposed to be a nicer day today so I was going to get a run in this morning but it is the same old so off to the elliptical I go. I hope it warms up at some point. I am really going with this weather. Hope you get your walk in today.

Delphi~ Yes, you need to do strength training. No, you don't need to cripple yourself!

JasonsLea~ That pound is just water and will be gone within three days. Just rub this and it will be gone. I don't have weekend plans yet but am promising myself that I will get in my exercise everyday.

Crazymomma~ You did a great job yesterday in a land of so you should feel really proud of yourself. I don't know why your friend hasn't noticed-or more likely has noticed but has decided not to say anything. I have found that almost no one has said anything to me about my losses. Very disheartening but maybe they don't want to appear to be saying, "Wow! You look great! You were really fat before!" Here's a from all of us because we notice and appreciate all the hard work. Oh, and for me, the early alarms will start the week of June 22nd so I would appreciate the to get out of bed!

I am off to weigh myself and then am going to really do a big workout. Why? Because I deserve it!!!

today ladies!!

Crazymomma ~ Yeah, I'm on flickr to. I really like it but I'm maxed out at 200 pictures and it will push my old ones out if I add new ones. I think I'm gonna have to go pro so I can start using it again.

Jacque ~ Well, I can't wait to see those new pics then.

Jacqui ~ Way to go! Good for you! I am also calorie shifting at the moment, that may be what got me out of my slump. I know you are so happy, furthermore even happier to change that ticker to..eh? Yeah, I had been doing a little here nor there but nothing like I got with the My Fitness Coach strength training. Oh my. Even while walking on the treadmill this morning it hurt just to move my arms. Lesson learned!

Urockmom
~ Yeah, I'm figuring that out this morning. Good luck with the weigh in!
