  • Hi Gals!!!

Happy Memorial Day to you all! I hope you enjoy your day tomorrow.

I haven't been on in a couple of days because I have been totally sucked into the TWILIGHT book series and can't put them down except to work, get my exercise in and to be at the beck and call of my 3 children.
I walked/ jogged 3 miles today and ate pretty healthy. I need to get a little more water in before bed but other than that, I've been OP. TOM started Friday (my official weigh-in day) so I didn't see a loss but I'm really hoping it will come off in the next couple of days.
I'm sorry for the short post but I'm really beat.

Delphi loved the picture babycakes! You are beautiful and the change is dramatic between your pics.

    Good night chicks!!!!
  • Jacqui- Way to start moving in the right direction about being stalled! Keep it up, you are almost in the 180's

Delphi- I also deal with those "bathroom" problems. I was diagnosed with Colitis last fall, I sometimes just have to take a natural pill that allows for a colon cleanse to get things moving again. I don't know other than trying to increase your fiber what else you could do, because it's been my experience that those fiber drinks are gritty and nasty.

CMof4- you are doing SO great! I can't believe how fast the inches are melting away from you. Keep it up girl! Oh and thx for the link, I checked and my BMI is 38, Breawna's is 42.

Lene- I just finished the Twilight series. I was suprised how well I liked them! You will have to let me know which guy is your favorite because I was unhappy with Bella's choice until book 4, he grew on me. haha
  • Good Morning Ladies and Happy Memorial Day!!

Superchix ~ One of my sons is diagnosed with severe Hypoxic Ischemic Encephalopathy along with numerous other diagnosis, so they give us a lot of useless prescriptions. One of those, was a laxative. He is on a feeding tube and because he can't move voluntarily, his bowels do not move properly at times. So I never have to give it to him, as we changed formula so it was just sitting around. So I kinda took some last night, so I'm hopeful it will work. I think it's a substitute for Miralax if I'm not mistaken. I just need some relief.

Lene ~ Heyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! How are you chicky? Good to see you back. Thanks for the compliment. Whenever I'm feeling a little frumpy, I just pull up those photos and I definitely know I'm moving in the right direction. Sorry to hear TOM is around making you miserable. Dang TOM! You hang in there girly and I hope it comes and goes with expedience. I'm rootin' for ya.

Jacqui ~ Oh my! You are on a roll. Another pound. Simply amazing!!! Can you bottle some of that mojo and send it my way. Your recipe had me drooling over here. Unfortunately, I'm a horrible cook. I have a hard time boiling water.

Well as I mentioned in my personal to superchix, I took that "medicine" last night, so I'm hopeful, not only that things will get to moving right, but all that water I've been retaining will flush out as well, if in fact I "was" retaining water. Seems like the only plausible explanation. According to my calculations I should be down three pounds.

So I'm not gonna make any changes. I'm gonna keep with the hour cardio every other day and then a brisk walk on the treadmill on the opposite days and simply keep eating healthy. I feel great so, I'm simply not gonna fall off the wagon just because the scale is obviously wrong. Life is good, scales are evil...and that's just my two cents for the day.

You ladies enjoy your Memorial Day and remember to have fun...oh, and to smile at random people.

  • HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY!!!

Lene, I've been that preoccupied with books many times before! I can't count how many times a book has kept me up all night reading! Great job with your exercising and staying OP! Drink your water, girlie!

Delphi, I really hope that medicine does the trick! I know how bothersome that problem is! It may be reason the why you are not losing the lbs like you should! But I'm glad you're not letting the weight stall get you down and that you are sticking to your routine! As for being a cook, lol, I'm not a cook either!! Lol! That's why all I do is slice and mix and my DH does the roasting on the grill!!

Supachix, thanks so much!! Of course, my body didn't cooperate and let me lose just one more pound to reach the 180s today, lol! But it's okay, I'll get there eventually!!

Hi to all our other ladies!! FSA, I hope you are doing well! We miss you!
  • Happy Memorial Day everyone!

Did I read someone say something about Twilight? I LOVE THOSE BOOKS!
  • Good Morning Ladies!

Had a rather good day yesterday even though I haven't got any relief from the medicine. I managed to get the yard mowed seconds before the rain started to fall again. But yeah, a highly active day but I felt good nonetheless.

Well I'm off to my hour cardio session. I really look forward to them. I feel so "skinny" and fanflippintastic, when I finish. Then I go outside, smoke a cigarette and I'm back where I started. Are there anymore smokers in our little group?

At any rate, you ladies have a spectacular day and remember those smiles.
  • Good morning ladies. *sniff-cough* I hope you all (hack-hack) had a great weekend!

My weekend was pretty good until I got sidelined with this icky (cough-cough) crap that is sitting my chest. I managed to stay OP all weekend--even when hubby suggested getting pizza last night! But somehow, despite all the good eating, all the outside labor and my workouts, I'm up this moring to 177.4. I'm guessing it's because I'm sick and I didn't get enough water yesterday so I'm retaining. I only got in a little over 64oz and I should have gotten in way more. So today I'll be chugging the water--hopefully my throat stops screaming at me so it's not painful to drink--and I'll stay OP and do my workouts like a good girl.

I felt so unmotivated yesterday! I mean, when it was time to do the cardio, I just wanted to shrug it off. I'm not sure if it's because I'm sick or if I'm hitting that point where I just want to jump off the wagon for a bit. So, just in case it's the later, I could really use a pep talk. Feel free to go boot camp on me, I won't mind. I just need to be yanked as far away from the edge of this funk as possible so I don't fall off the wagon.

Okay girls, I'm off to get some thera-flu, maybe that'll help some--and some water of course! Be sure to drink yours too okay? *cough-cough* Alright, I'll be back for personals later, *sniff*, Have a great day girls! (hack-cough-sniff...ugh!)
  • crazymamaof4

So sorry you are not feeling well...but very impressed that you stayed OP all weekend. Feel better soon!!!
  • crazymama: I'm also impressed, and great job keeping up with the workouts even though you feel a little drained! (Don't they make you feel a little better after? I usually find exercise gives me a little boost of energy when i go into a workout feeling really low-energy.) Anyway, you stay on this wagon! We need you here! And you've done so well but you're not done yet...as your ticker says..."keep going!"
Feel better...oh and definitely get the thera-flu, I love that stuff.
  • Crazymomma ~ Don't you make me come over there! You are simply feeling bad due to your flu/cold. Don't let that frumpy feeling get you in the mindset that, jumping off the wagon will make you feel better. Because it WONT! I need ya around to keep me straight and focused. Now do ya want one of us to fall off, when we have all worked so hard to come as far as we have? Nooooooooo, so tell that cold to kiss it and ride it out. When it has passed you'll be back to kicking butt and taking names and dropping those pounds. We are not quitters..we are LOSERS!

Seriously, you can get through this and I really, really, really hope it passes soon. Just remeber how far you've come, the price of a return home ticket isn't worth it sweetie. Get well soon!
  • Cmof4~ Sorry you aren't feeling well! No falling off the wagon but do listen to your body. Rest, drink water and take care of yourself. I hope you feel better soon.

Delphi~I love that feeling skinny feeling. When I wake up in the AM I go straight for the mirror to look to see if my tummy is flatter. LOL I know such a loser I am. I've started to pull out my I want to be noticed clothes. For awhile I was in my husband's closet picking out clothes to wear just to cover everything up.

So I am a 1/4 way thru the last Twilight book. I am totally addicted. I'm going to drag my Mom into my addiction. I know she will love them too.
I had a very active weekend lots of walking, hiking, jogging. I ate 97% OP I did have a salad with a little hot bacon dressing which was a huge no-no. But in my defense I did try to order a healthy salad dressing but they were out of it, so I caved and made a bad choice. But honestly I was so active I don't think it matters too much. I have a dr. appoint. to get to and kids to get out the door for school.
    Where are you FSA???
Hi to all my chick friends! We are in the home stretch less than a week?? This month just flew by... Good luck today!
  • Good morning ladies!

I hope that everyone had a super holiday weekend. It sounds like many of you did a great job over the weekend staying OP and getting in your exercise. I did exercise but the food was not so good.

So, as we get closer to the end of the school year, I am getting a bit concerned about how to get my exercise in while the DDs are lurking. I didn't start my journey here until September and have usually done a bad job at exercising over the summer. (My hands & feet swell immediately if I try to do anything outside.) Any suggestions on how to keep to my exercise routine? What works for you when life is getting in the way?

I am going to sign off for now as I have a chance to get on the bike but I'll be back later for personals.

    Stay chicks!!!
  • Hey there, still hanging on to one pound I need to get rid of to make my goal. I know I CAN do it, so I just have to keep it in gear. I ate so-so over the weekend, but had decent activity to balance it. I guess I'll see how it all plays out in a few short days....just keep moving and eat right!!!!
  • Sandye, you lost 10 lbs this month! You've lost 20 lbs total! You are no longer OBESE! You are building muscle! You are not only looking better, but you are improving your overall health! You started off with nearly 50 lbs to lose and you are down to 20-something to reach your target goal!! We have watched as you have felt proud of yourself and happy and excited for your accomplishments! So now...which of these things do you want to reverse? You've regained a lb. No big deal, but how many more are you willing to accept? You are in control, so you decide which direction you want to go--forward or backward?! Or perhaps you think where you are now--still too close to obese to be "safe" from it --is okay. Is this the weight you want to try to maintain? No, it isn't! This is not your goal weight! The truth is, if you treat this like a diet, it will be a diet, and when you will go "off" of it, you will regain the weight. But if you recognize that this is not a diet, that this is a "lifestyle" change, not something you can "quit," you will reach your target weight and then you will maintain it. Sandye, this really is a lifestyle change, one that we all have to make, one that we've put off for too long, one that you've made for yourself and your children. You can get tired, sure, but that's not a good enough excuse to give up! You work through it and you continue to do what you know is right! And oh, how good does it feel? How good does each additional lb feel as it comes off?! How good does knowing you're going to be 150 lbs--that it's within your grasp--feel?! How good does being 20 lbs lighter, no longer obese, no longer close to 200 lbs, feel?! How great will being a woman's weight, no longer a man's weight, feel?! Don't you give up! You have come too far!! You can do this!! Move forward!!
