Dolly Great Job!!

Fiona and PellMel good job! I cant believe it is already the end of October! It hasn't been the greatest of weeks eating wise but since Tomorrow is Monday I am going to treat it like the beginning! I have to do it every now and then. I had to do it once before after I got back from Disneyland . I call it detox, but for me it just means a lot of water and sticking to 1200-1300 calories per day for about 3 days, I also restart my exercise program, but not from the very beginning. I need to concentrate on getting the time in rather than calories burned. I want to lose weight, but more important I want to be healthy and if that means losing at a slower rate, so be it!!

jcatron: you always bring me back to reality which is great. It is not how fast we lose the weight, but that we are healthy and may lose at a slower rate! Thanks for keeping me in check!

If I don't remind myself of it on a weekly basis then I do get discouraged and want to give up. I can't complain, today is the beginning of week 12 of my healthier lifestyle and I have lost 20 pounds! I do get a little jealous to see people losing 3-4 pounds per week, but at the same time I am so happy for them.

Losing weight is SO Hard!! I want to do it the right way for me and my health. If it means going slowly I will have to live with it.

Okay today my plan:

B:Protein shake and coffee
L: egg salad (no mayo), side salad, fruit cup (maybe?)
S: Protein shake or fruit smoothie with protein powder
D: 1/2 chicken breast, 1 cup broccolii, 2/3 cup brown rice
S: Banana

My sister is coming over to workout this morning so I am sure I will get in an hour or so today!!

Well, I really like the results of this 6 week body makeover diet. I know this isn't something that I'll do for the rest of my life, but considering how overweight I am I need a serious jumpstart. I will weigh one more time tomorrow morning to see how many pounds total I have lost for the month of Oct. Like I said previously, I had a bad week or so and AF came around. But I'm happy to say that I've finally started exercising and dieting and I hope I can keep it up. It's hard when you wake up in the morning and you want to eat chocolate first thing!

jcatron- I've been so inspired by your diet journaling. The choices that you've been making and just you being able to stick with it! It's helped me think of ways to enrich my diet plan. Way to go on the 20 pound weight loss!! YAY

Thanks, sugar, but I don't always stick to my plan, though I do try my hardest, and do most days/weeks. I just actually heard of the 6 week body makeover, is it a book?? A friend of mine is doing it and she really loves it she has a bet with her boyfriend whoever loses X amount of weight first gets a $500 shopping spree on the others wallet! I think her weight is 17 lbs and his is 25lbs.

Hi Jcatron,
The 6 week body makeover is a diet/exercise program that you can order off the internet. It has a custom plan for each individual. It really works but it's really intense too. You can type in the 6 week body makeover in googles or you browser and it will take you to the website. Provida Life Sciences is who puts it out. It comes with DVD's on how to do certain exercises for certain muscles and it lets you take a test to see what types of food will make your metablosim work the best. Check it out. I haven't stuck with it totally but have tweaked it here and there and even fudged a bit and have lost a total of 6 pounds in one week. I know a lot of that is water that came with our favorite AF ha but it's encouraging to see the scales move down for once. Hope this helps.

Hello everyone!!! Okay well I originally started at 228.50, although I posted 229 cause I didn't want to mess with half pounds at the time. Today I am 219. So I actually lost 9.50 pounds but when I am bragging I will say 10 cause it sounds better!! But 9.5 is still great! I am all geared up to lose another 10 by the end of November!!! The great thing is even if you only hit half your goal, you are still a winner! I am so glad I got a chance to know you ladies! Thanx for all the support and advice and I know Ill see you all in the other challenges!!!

Dolly: That is great!! I am so porud of you!!!

Total for me this challenge was 6 pounds. I didn't do the ten but I had a rough start getting started. LOL Anyway, my weight went up past my starting weight during this challenge and that was hard enough to deal with. Today my weight is 263...
Oh well I lost 6 and plan on losing more.
Congrats on the weight loss jasmine and jcatron and everyone else on this challenge.

Sugarbaby 6 pounds is great!! That is 6 less than when you started right? Even if we lose only half we still win! Congrats!!
