Well, we're home... Sort of. My milk came in so no more glucose issues. The jaundice is clearing up. He has to see the cardiologist, but this seems to be a fairly small murmur.
As we were getting ready to leave the hospital yesterday my mom called me, "Eli (middle kiddo) has a fever of 101.5." So, dad is at home with two puking, feverish kids and Joshua and I are holed up in a room at my parents' house. I'd this bug is what we think it is then it should clear up fast and Joshua and I should be able to go home tomorrow evening.

Hope you get to go to your house soon Gale!!

I just feel off recently. Since yesterday I've been weak and shaky. I'm eating and drinking fine. Just....weak. I go to my six week appointment Thursday, so maybe I can hold off until then and ask the doctor.

Laney has been highly gassy and in a lot of pain because of it for a few days now, especially when she sleeps. It's like she can't pass gas when she sleeps, or it hurts more. And as of 1:45 this afternoon it will be 2 days since she pooped. Just not a good week around here.

Oh AND I get to go back to work Thursday. SO not looking forward to it.

OMG Mindi!!!!!!!! Didn't you just have your baby yesterday? ;-) No way she's a month old already! <3

My friend was telling me today that her son is out of newborn clothes. I made a weird face (I think it was weird, but it was over the phone so she didn't see, hehe) and I said, "well, isn't he 3 months old? Isn't that the range of newborn clothes?" and she said "YEAH but I can't believe he's growing out of them already!" I had to smile at that Their other boy is 5 years old, I joked with her that I feel like he should be 16 already... and my goddaughter is 4, she's practically 18 now. Kids grow up soooo fast! *tear drop* Just yesterday I was wondering what my kid would be like as a young adult. And he/she isn't even here yet!!! :-) THOUGH the kicking lets me know that the baby is as excited as I am about her/his impeding arrival. LOL! 8 more weeks!

It FEELS like only yesterday...but she's 6 weeks today!! She's a BIG girl and getting bigger all the time. Nearly grown out of 0-3 clothes already. We worry we're feeding her too much but apparently it's going somewhere.

When she was born she was 8 pounds, 11 ounces, and 21 inches long. Went to the doctor at 1 month and she was 10 pounds, 11 ounces, and 22 inches long. Yesterday I went to the doctor and she was with me, so they weighed her - 12 pounds, 10 ounces, and 24 1/2 inches long!! That's a HUGE growth in two weeks! I think her issues recently with not sleeping well at night have been growing pains, if those are even real...

We're all home and healthy. Joshua does have a murmur, but it's fairly benign; most of this kind clear up on their own before baby is a year old. He's nursing like a champ, we definitely have milk, Houston! My baby blues are under control; I had a rough time there for the first week or so.

All in all everything is going well. Now to prepare for our move in a few weeks. Yikes! The bright side is that DH's new employer's moving package is phenominal. They will be packing, moving, and unpacking us. Why yes, that is relief you hear in my voice.

Update: Andrece is just over two months old already. At his appointment this morning he weighed in at 10lb15oz and 23 inches. Doctor said he probably has a fast metabolism as he isn't gaining enough to what he's eating. He's a really happy baby, sleeps 7-11 hours each night and only cries when he's really hungry. We have finally switched to size one diapers and 0-3 month clothes just over a week ago. He had his first overnight stay with my sister as my fiance and I had to go out of state overnight. He will be staying again this Friday as I head out to celebrate my 21st birthday! I attached a couple pictures for yall to see!

As for me, i've lost about 12 pounds past the baby weight now. I go to the gym around 6 days a week and have cut back down to 1400 calories a day. I'm starting a 30 day challenge with a group of people on July 23rd. I've switched my eating habits back and again completely cut out fast food. My scar from the c-section is finally completely closed but is still numb and itches at times. Other than that, it's now time to start saving for our wedding which will be late spring or late summer. Life is treating us well =]

Hope all is well for you ladies!!

Hi all,

Keller: He's so cute! I'm glad life is going smooth for you at this time!

As for me, I'm a little over 33 weeks. He's very healthy and everything is normal. My boyfriend and I finally decided on a name, but we aren't telling anyone because our families can be obnoxious, lol.

I am also upset about my weight gain (30 lbs so far) but I've been doing the best I can and my doctor isn't too worried. I've been swimming a mile every day and that's really helping my sciatica. So yeah, pregnancy's fairly normal.

Hope everyone's ok!

Thanks Racrane. You're almost there- 4 more weeks until you're fullterm.

Wow Mindi, she is big! Drece had an appointment today at 2 1/2 months for a rash and he is only 11lb4oz and 23 1/2 inches. Shots weren't to bad an they did them quick. My doctor said babies often sleep most of the day after. Have you gone back to working out yet? How are you doing?

Aside from measurements- His pediatrician has also said he's a bit advanced for how young he is- he can roll over, follow things with his eyes, follow objects across the room, scoot about halfway across the room and roll over. She said she doesn't usually see this stuff til closer to 4 months. Also, she said his kicks are strong and his neck muscles are stronger than average. If only we could get him to gain some weight now.

I'm back at work, Keller...went back at 6 weeks. Actually at work now, and Laney is with me since she has an appointment and I want to be able to watch her afterward. And the sitter had a funeral to go to, so Laney's working with me today. More likely keeping me from work as the case will probably be....

Wow! Sounds like Andrece is doing well!!

Mindi - make sure that you have infant tylenol on hand before the shots. Spencer ended up SCREAMING inconsolably, starting maybe 5 hours after the shots, and continuing until his dose of infant tylenol kicked in.

Babies hit milestones at such different dates, I think the charts are basically useless, LOL. Spencer rolled over at something like 4 weeks, but hasn't been doing it intentionally until now. He does the eye-following too, and smiling/laughing. But he hasn't done other things listed as "two month" skills. I'm not going to even give it another thought unless he pediatrician worries.

He is "advanced" in one thing I'd prefer he NOT be...according to the pediatrician,he's already feeling the pain from teething. Poor little drooly guy.

Well her shots didn't happen. She is officially 2 months tomorrow, and apparently in Texas if they get shots before 2 months EXACTLY or beyond it causes trouble in the future. :/ So I have to take her in early tomorrow. And that stinks because she was with me at work all day today and won't be able to be tomorrow

Official weight: 13 pounds, 13.9 ounces. They measured her at 22 inches which is just wrong. She was 24.5 ounces 2 weeks ago at the doctor, and he said that measurement is in the 99th percentile. So at OUR measurement of 26 inches (last night) she'd be bigger than pretty much every baby her age. I just hope she's coordinated because she'll probably have the height to be a basketball player...

I'm with you on the milestones Amanda. Laney hasn't rolled over at ALL yet. And the sitter puts her to sleep on her belly and that's pretty much destroying our attempts at tummy time. Now tummy time = nap time. We're going to tell her to put her down on her side since she still won't sleep on her back...

One thing I cannot WAIT for is for Laney to laugh with actual sound. She has a silent laugh (or sometimes like Sheldon from Big Bang Theory if she's falling asleep).

I've got most of my big purchases set, but I"m buying smaller items now. What kind of medicine or "emergency" items would anyone recommend to buy now? If that makes sense... just trying to be prepared with little knowledge on what to prepare.

I had my checkup today at 34 weeks and apparently I'm measuring 36. So, not quite sure what it means except my doctor does think he'll be a big boy.

- Mylicon or another brand of gas drops. They can be a LIFESAVER
- Gripe Water (Little Tummys makes both gas drops and gripe water)
- Infant pain reliever drops (but ask the doctor before giving them - just for correct doses when needed)
- A nasal aspirator and some saline (for getting rid of those boogers for baby)
- Of course nail clippers and a nail file for babies (those nails grow FAST)
- Forehead thermometer (just because it's easier)
- baby wash cloths. We find our regular ones are too rough for her skin

If you are going to breastfeed buy some lanolin cream for you, to help with cracking and peeling and things.
If you're gonna bottle feed don't buy too much formula yet. Give it a couple of weeks on whatever formula you start with when the baby arrives to make sure he'll tolerate it.
