Hi... I think I need to join this thread! A little about me, I used to post here often when I was losing weight. I started at 213 and was maintaining in the mid-130s for about a year when I got pregnant. I'm 24 weeks and some change, and have been exercising this whole time with the blessing of my doctor (yay!) But being formerly obese, I also monitor my weight gain pretty consistently. So far I think I'm doing ok... I was pretty sick (24/7 morning sickness) for most of the first trimester so I gained one pound. This is my first pregnancy so everything is pretty new to me...
Pre-pregnancy weight: ~194
4 Weeks: 193 (lowest in years, then I got a BFP!)
17 Weeks: 198.8 (+5.8)
19 Weeks: 201.0 (+8) (crap, I've been snacking and it shows)
20 Weeks: 202.0 (+9) (ditto)
22 Weeks: 203.8 (+10.8) (holy cow, am I hungry all of the time!)
24 weeks: 205.6 (+12.6) (hmmm, this only gaining 15 pounds thing doesn't look likely)
25 weeks: 205.6 (+12.6)
28 weeks: 207 (+14)
29 weeks: 208.2 (+15.2) (Stress is not helping me right now)
32 weeks: 209.6 (+16.6)
34 weeks: 211.6 (+18.6)
36 weeks: 211.6 (+18.6)
37 weeks: n/a - uncooperative scale
38 weeks: 215.2 (+22.2) yay water retention!
39 weeks: 213.6 (+20.6) For once in my life, stress is making me lose weight rather than gain it. :-/
EDD: 9/23/11
My daughter was born on 9/21. I ended up having a c-section because of my health concerns and her predicted weight being over 9 pounds. So, I knew I was weighing myself for the last time. I gained a total of 22 pounds (193 start, 215 at 39w5d). She was only 8 pounds 12 ounces (big but not as big as she measured two weeks ago) and 20 and 1/4 long. We both came home on Saturday and are adjusting to our home life.
Congrats to all of the new ladies that have joined this thread! I'll be seeing you shortly over in the losing the weight after the baby is born threads
It took me 9 months to gain 22 pounds and I'm already down 20 pounds, 8 days later. I'm exhausted though and I feel like I am eating constantly as it is. I forget to take care of myself when I'm taking care of the little one!
Thank you Carly I'm hoping to only gain 30lbs this time instead of 40 - luckily with a toddler, I won't be going out for dinner every single night and saying "the baby needs it!" LOL!
I think it's going down because I eat small meals and drink water only versus i used to only eat one or two meals a day and drink some pop. Hopefully it don't start going up fast and i can keep gain low!
Well ladies it was nice hanging out with yall but today I gave birth to a baby girl 8 lbs 2 oz. She was born at home in the water. I highly recommend hypnobabies I was so calm the whole time. I wish you ladies well with your pregnancy
Congrats and glad to hear you got a home water birth! What an amazing experience Have fun & we will see you in a few weeks or months when you're feeling back in the game!
