I made chili for dinner today. Took mine out before I added the macaroni for DH. I use pinto beans and don't put a lot in because DH isn't big on beans, but pintos are soft and I mash them up with a fork. The bean curd just makes the chili a little thicker and DH doesn't know they're in there. Did you get that, Rennie? LOL It's like cooking for a small child.
PQ Happy Birthday! Tell Aunt Flo I said hello, but can't say that I miss her. LOL |
Evening all! Not much to report tonight.... Got extra steps in by cleaning a bit after work. That's it, no excitement :)
Break - buffalo wrap Lunch - buffalo wrap, white grapes Snack - almond/cran mix Donne - pressure cooker pork chop, oven fries, Brussels sprouts Snack - cran wAter |
HI ALL
finished 40 min. high kcal burn exercise tape. used 1 lb hand weights. woof! I got so hot but it felt good. shower time errands to handle, have to hit the road soon. will take little doggie cause along the way is a track. I am not a track walking gal but this is the best I can squeeze in today and I WANT to get outside. later I might just relax on the porch when I get everything done. lounge chair, sun, the tunes playing. oh yea I can handle that!!! ribeye later when wanted tuna and mayo tonight everything is good in my little world. Beautiful Carolina blue day happening here and high of almost 80! |
Hi ALL
Carol Sue, husbands think what they want to think. My daughter said that about her husband last evening as she was finishing my hair he walked in :) I think they are such a cute couple, they are definitely a great fit for one another :) I have a ProForm treadmill also. I bought it from my neighbor when we lived in VA. It's a great treadmill, has the fan, the tuck away poles at the side. That's funny about the punching bag  LOL Carol Sue re: the beans, you are funny :) You are a bowl of funny today re: not missing Aunt Flo :) Melissa I always remove the skin on chicken. I just don't like the feel :) ZCA72 and everyone else ... message from Jacqui_D ... I have not disappeared! I just don't have a choice right now. I will be back soon! I'm not purposely staying away! I miss y'all! PrairieQueen I have calorie cycled before it does work and you're right it seems that if you do something too long at some point it just stops working and you have to switch for a bit. It's good you know how to work things out, YAY YOU :high: Happy Belated Birthday to you. Wishing you many more  My birthday is next month :) I had to look up the Irish Banger, that looks really good but the mash would set me off ... however I have had only a half cup when I make them for the kids and I haven't gone back so maybe I'm getting a little better ;) Latkes (didn't know what they were called but my former roommates Mom use to make them) so good  I could have spent that day with you and been in heaven :D I'm seeing remnants of Aunt Flo no full cycle yet just spots to annoy me along with the horrible bloating, rings are tight :( No cycle last month and not due till the 25th of this month :dizzy: Oh PQ I saw a Cuisinart pressure cooker at BJ's for $79. It was 6 qt size. Seemed big enough but idk until I have to load it up :) |
So I just found this thread and subscribed immediately!!!!! :cheer:
I am happy to see it's pretty active as well! I am doing the Trim Healthy Mama plan which is a low glycemic, modified low carb-ish diet hahaha! Basically, no sugar or starchy veggies or many pastas and breads. I do fuel switching, between low carb and low fat depending on my mood/energy levels/satiety/etc and always center every meal and snack around a hefty dose of protein. So far, I've lost almost 53 pounds and it's a fantastic plan! That's the really simplified version of it but you get the jist. I also just started a weight lifting program this week so I am making sure I get plenty of protein! |
Pink Hurricane how long have you been doing this plan? 53lbs is great :high: I'm glad you're back to posting :)
|
Hi Pink and ZCA!
Rennie I didn't have any mash, but I do like it. I had the last one this morn w/egg. Latkes are just hash browns with egg, seasoning, and a little flour (I think). We went to a "real" hipster hangout where they're poor and not same as the nerdy rich hipsters that we see at the other area we usually go to eat. These little places have the best food :) I didn't know there were different "varieties." It was the best day. Carol Sue and Jacqui.....hey there! Break - banger and fried egg Snack - clementine Lunch - pork chop, pineapple spears Snack - clementine Dinner - grilled wings, 1/2 piece of cheesecake |
HI Pink, congrats on that nice loss! Sounds like you are in a very good place.....keep on rocking down the scale!!
-----------HI ALL simple easy day...but errands to run. run here and there and get it done. no exercise tapes, no treadmill---rest day for me ribeye and tuna/mayo whenever sunny nice 80s and hitting the porch with a lounge chair and good tunes playing this afternoon and full relax mode I love great spring/summer weather. everyone enjoy the day!! |
I am down 1.5 lbs today, but they are recycled pounds and I'm not quite back to ticker weight yet. You see, I only report when I'm down, not when I'm up. :D
It take me so long to read this thread because I have to google half of what PQ says. LOL LOL https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bangers_and_mash I think DH and I would like that. I make latkes (potato pancakes) but mine are different than any others I've seen. DH likes them. Pink, welcome to the thread. At first I thought I posted with you before, but then I rememered it was Pink Something Else. Good loss, and good to switch from plan to plan to keep from stagnating. ZCA I also love tuna and mayo. |
Evening all...way to go Carol Sue! I'm not back to my low that's still in my profile either. I refuse to make it go higher, only lower.
Well, today I went snack free so I could have a half piece of cheesecake tonight, and it was worth it :). Aunt Flow is still visiting but it's starting to pack. Hopefully, I'll get a whoosh by Friday/Sarurday. Went to get my passport photo taken for a renewal, but no luck. First place doesn't do them now. Drugstores new building produces yellowing of background and shadows, third place was closed. I'll stop at third place earlier in day tomorrow to get this thing done hopefully. Breakfast - beef short rib fajita filling w/fried egg Lunch - short rib fajita Dinner - cinci 3-way spaghetti Treat - 1/2 piece cheesecake |
recycled lbs....that had me laughing Wanna :) :) but at least they are gone!!
----hi all 40 min. high intensity cardio with 1 lb hand weights. done! woof....struggled a bit on this one today but pushed thru. some days you sure have to make yourself do it. non hungry mode. food thoughts gone. yuck. which is a good thing, a nice day to cut alot of calories from the equation. ribeye and tuna/mayo whenever. hot tea and still only using 1 drop 0 carb sweetener. I am drinking more hot tea without my drop but I still can't give up my drop 'just yet' :) :) working on it. everyone have a fine St Pattys Day and be careful of that green meat. :) |
I am so mad. Yesterday I exercised. Walked on the treadmill and rode the recumbent bike. When I was finished, I realized that I left my Fitbit in the pocket of my jeans and didn't get "credit" for the exercise. Grrrr My own fault.
ZCA I have a pair of light hand weights. I pick them up and do upper body exercises while I'm watching TV. You just reminded me to wear my green shirt today. No green meat! LOL |
Good evening ladies! Enjoy the weather as some of us may be getting snow Saturday :( but only Five workdays until spring break! I'm going to take my chances and book my flight at the last minute. That's when I've always got my best price. There are three airports within an hour's drive and five airlines that fly to where I'm going....big and small. Hubs has politely declined a week with mother, brother, and step-dad. He said he'd rather stay home with the fur babies and go to work.
Hubs is excited because he thinks he's going to be under 220 lbs in the morning. He was down to 215 after his surgeries last winter but gained it back this winter. He's been really good about his carb intake this week, and it's paying off by 3 pounds gone this week. I might beat my low in the morning as well. I was only off by 0.2 this morning....fingers crossed! I've felt rea Lunch good the past two days as well. . . No bloats and energetic. And finally got my passport photo taken for my renewal....gotta finish the paperwork and send that in Saturday via registered mail. I have to dig out our marriage certificate from county since my name has changed. Break - sausage McMuffin Lunch - 1/2 Cinci 3-way chili spaghetti Dinner - two skinless chicken drumsticks w/cherry barbecue sauce, oven fries, lettuce wedge w/blue cheese dressing Snack - cran water |
Wanna, it is funny it is important to plug your number into that fitbit thing :) thing is you exercised and got the good benefits!!
PQ--snow, oh my. that is rough. just the word makes me cringe! ----HI ALL 1 year on plan today. about 5 months on Atkins 1972 Induction food list only. Then I switched to Zero Carb eating. about 7 months now on that. Today is 1 year on plan since I started. my original goal was 170....so I am about 9 lbs from that goal. then I lowered my goal to 160 which seems worlds away now :) :) but I will get there! I feel so energized and just wonderful. Carbs are my nightmare. I eliminated them and I feel my absolute best I have ever felt. Super carb sensitive and I had to face it, fix it and I have and am doing very well. woke up not hungry mode. food not even on my mind. so tuna/mayo later whenever....and a ribeye for tonight. alot happening, busy day. will be going full speed fast this morning. never enough time to get it all done it seems :) everyone enjoy the day!! |
ZCA my friend goes out of her way to do things to add more steps on her Fitbit, but I don't. I just let it register what I do. Most of the time I don't even remember that I have it on, but I want to get credit for what I do. One time the battery went dead and I didn't even realize it. It sends you an email when the battery is getting low. Isn't that so cool? LOL I don't know what happened that time, but I didn't get the email. So the steps I did that day were lost. Yesterday, remembered to use it when I exercised, but I like to see how many steps it shows before and after the exercise, and I forgot do do that. It's H**L to get old. LOL
You are making me so hungry for tuna and mayo. Think I'll have some today. Did you hear about the recall? I don't have any of the recalled tuna. Chicken of the Sea and Bumble Bee. I use Starkist. PQ, we are supposed to get some light snow over the weekend and next week but not much. I heard them say some northeastern states might get a foot. Our temps are going back down to the 40s after being in the 60s recently. Spring is just around the corner!! |
Yesterday's menu....
Break - sausage McMuffin Lunch - 1/2 serving Cinci chili spaghetti 3-way Snack - prosciutto panino, dill pickle Dinner - homemade turkey pepperoni pizza, 2 lite beers |
Good evening everyone! I'm just relaxing a bit before we go see "The Little Mermaid" at our local high school. It's not how I wanted to spend my Saturday night, but hubs is friends with the drama teacher so.....
Today, I went to a prim store and a new giant craft store with my farmer friend. It was snowing/raining and cold out, so not much else to do and it got me out of my planned utility room reorganization I keep meaning to do. My weight is still the same as yesterday, but still hoping for a whoosh soon. Break - 1/2 piece cheesecake Lunch - leftover pizza slice Snack - hummus and nut crackers Dinner - sirloin strip/havarti cheese on sourdough toast, roasted butter garlic mushrooms, green beans Snack - maybe an after-show drinkie |
PQ, hope that whoosh comes. I love a good whoosh!!
HI ALL nothing much doing. eating on plan and just waiting for the scale to treat me well. getting lower in weight and I am losing slower. I won't 'cut calories' much to push more weight loss. I like my food too much :) I eat my plan and eventually the scale gives up 1/2 a lb. eh, fine by me. 40 min. high intensity tape with 2 lb hand weights. treadmill later, rainy outside. stuck inside for exercising. I see a difference after these 2 or so weeks exercising hard. body seems a bit different, nothing much, but I can see subtle things going on and I like it. need alot more toning etc. to see big improvement but slowly I am getting there. I have the time, if I just do my thing, later down the road the changes are seen and all in good ways. 2 ribeyes on the menu today. hope everyone enjoys their day!! |
ZCA exercise does not necessarily burn off lots of lbs the way some people think it does, but over time it changes the way the hormones in your body work, in a way beneficial to weight control. And it doesn't necessarily have to be high intensity exercise. So keep it up. You are making your body very happy and I am trying very hard to practice what I preach.
PQ I read an article in Prevention Magazine that women should drink 1-2 beers a week and right away I thought of you!! I'm a little behind, but am happy to oblige! LOL |
Good morning Chicks!
I'm finally back to my 142.8 lbs, which is what I was three weeks ago before the phantom period and two-plus weeks of pms. I'm trying to high-protein/fat snack more in the afternoon. This seems to help with losing and hunger monsters. Hubs has lost five pounds in the last two weeks by putting me in control of his diet :) He is 6'1" and started at 224 and wants to get to 200. He's in good shape for 62 due to years of soccer (playing well into his 30s and high level reffing until he was 53!) His weakness is chocolate (all sweets really) and starchy snacks. I'm sure he'll be hitting his goal before I hit mine. Laundry and errands today at Tractor Supply and Wally World. Maybe tonight I'll start some of my seeds for garden. |
I went back and read about the beer. Beer drinkers have lower triglycerides and lower risk of heart disease and diabetes. Too late for me, I already have both of them, but I'll drink the beer anyway. You never know. LOL
|
Carol Sue that's good to know about the beer.....now I can say my pints are dietary supplements!
I went to finish up everything for my passport and couldn't find our marriage certificate (name change), so I have to stop at the courthouse after school tomorrow. I'm getting three copies. Hubs has decided to apply for citizenship and needs a copy and they're only $2 a pop. Break - steak, egg, cheese on 1/2 slice of sourdough Lunch - buffalo meatballs and blue cheese dressing Dinner - sausage mushroom pasta w/white wine cream sauce & Parmesan No snacks but had higher calorie meals today. |
PQ glad your hubby is doing good and yea, men, they sure can drop faster than us gals :)
in general beer is nothing but liquid bread in a bottle :) :) thing with alcohol is read what it does to the liver. poisons it. BUT AM I going to stop drinking ever? NOPE ---heehee, but will never have beer again in my life. it will be rum or vodka with sugar free seltzer or something like that. but getting older, so drinking doesn't happen as much. fun times when younger, now it just makes me more icky really. ahhh, youth. I want mine back :) :) HI ALL allergies got me but rain helped. washed it out of the air a little, my head is clearing a bit. cold again tho with this storm. ribeye and tuna/mayo today. spaghetti for family. keeping this day simple on food. I am in non hungry mode which helps me at all times. haven't had my ravenous day in a bit, maybe I am forming a new pattern? who knows but tomorrow I might eat the house down so I best not say non-hungry mode is here for good it sure is a mental game. we are changing our entire way of eating thru life. not a small task for anyone but one thing is key....stay on your plan. only with repetition can we break the sugar control and change our mindset. BE HARD on yourself. THERE is only 1 person who cares what food goes in your mouth. YOU. Only 1 person who can heal themselves from within on a daily basis. YOU. All you really have is you to make this work. Be strong for yourself!! every time I craved and wanted to cave in and face plant into carby junk---I said one thing. Go ahead no one will stop you...have at it. Then I said.....yes only I can stop this madness and I stayed on plan. I only have me and I am going to change me if I have to kill me first HAHA We are strong and we can count on ourselves to stay on plan and do this healthy change for ourselves with pride! We want this for ourselves and we are going to take it and run with it!! wow I was rambling thru there, my head feels better so I got chatty. kick away that pollen and I feel so much better! on to my 45 mins. high intensity cardio with weights. kinda don't want too, but I will get up right now and do it!! Cause only I can change me :) and I will do what I said it takes to make changes. whew, off to get'er done. |
PQ, dietary supplements! LOL I love it! I probably have 2 beers a year. Like ZCA, I had so much alcohol in my younger days I am still over my quota for my lifetime.
You are definitely in preacher mode, ZCA, but it's all good. We need to hear that once in a while, especially since Jacqui isn't here. She is usually the one keeping us in line. In fact, I think she actually scared a few people away! LOL |
Hi ladies! ZCA72. Love that post!
Went on a three day 'girls trip' with my sisters and cousins and still managed to be down one lb.this morning. That is huge for me. I usually use vacation as an excuse to go off the rails. I planned, planned, planned and it paid off. |
Good for you Melissa, for staying on plan and losing. I think I have done well the past few days and am expecting a drop any day now. I always tell myself if I'm good today, I may be rewarded with a drop tomorrow. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
I know my blood sugar has been great the past few days with very little meds. |
Evening ladies! Great going Carol Sue on the blood sugar! Fingers crossed for a loss, as well :) I was down 0.4 lbs this morning for a new low. I'm hoping for another drop tomorrow.
My passport package is finally ready to go. I just have to go to post office tomorrow. I still have t got my lane tickets ....waiting one more day. Break - buffalo meatballs Snack - Apple Lunch - buffalo meatballs, carrot Snack - prosciutto panino Dinner - leftover sausage mushroom pasta |
Melissa that is great you lost thru a social situation. those are hard times to adjust mostly and you did wonderful. plan and plan one more time and keep repeating, you want this big change in life to healthy eating so you will do whatever it takes, and you did and lost!!! cool.
Wanna, Jacqui scared some people away....HA HA you had me laughing on that one :) PQ a new low!! Stellar. we love new lows!! rock on!! ----------------HI ALL easy day but busy. moving fast 40 high intensity tape with hand weights. I am loving this early morning workout, feel so good after. who knew? easy food, 2 ribeyes thru the day when wanted. no interest in food lately which always is a wonderful thing. love when there is no appetite or draw to any food. feels great! BBBrrr....nice 80 deg. weather than slammed back into the low 60s. BOO! come on hot weather, get here!! Leave Thurs for my beach trip. fast 4 days. there is an all you can eat crab legs buffet there near our beach site. I can eat so many crab legs it is scary. who says LC is hard? not for me it isn't LOL everyone have a great day!! |
Evening ladies! It's getting lonely around here...... Hope everyone is well...Jacqui how's that house coming along? Hope you're back home soon.
Passport renewal package mailed today, plane tickets bought, dinner out, and sitting in front of the boob tube watching travel programs. I'll be in bed soon enough! I. Going to try to go to a yoga class for beginners tomorrow before dinner......I hope it's not a disaster :) Break - sausage mcmuffin Snack - Apple Lunch - buffalo meatballs, carrot Dinner - grilled wings, fried green tomatoes |
PQ, can't wait to hear on yoga.
me, in a yoga class, would be a disaster LOL HI ALL busy fast day. pack the RV for trip. finish up work, get everything under control for heading out. tons of meats coming with me only 4 day fast trip to the beach but hubby woke up sick this morning. ugh, kill me. he called out of work which is very rare. he best get over it by tomorrow simple food, not hungry at all. I finished eating about 2pm yesterday. I love how that makes me feel. most mornings I would wake hungry, but I noticed lately I am changing more and more. I eat about 11/12 and again at 2/3 and I am finished for the day. but I would wake up hungry cause I stopped eating so early....but now, I am finding no hunger in the mornings. Woof! I love it! I would be very happy with this new pattern I am falling into. suits me so well. biggest key benefit is no 'raging' appetite ever. I get hungry I eat, but most times I am not hungry and I noticed I am eating less at each meal too Thing is I think it takes a long time on my zero carb plan to fall into this great pattern. a year of eating this way and while I had great results on this plan, it is JUST NOW that I really am getting the best benefits that fit into my life perfect. the body is changing and accepting and coming back to a natural pattern and I am thrilled with that. 2 ribeyes whenever today off to get this day started. much to do and little time to do it!! everyone enjoy their day!! |
I'm home! :woohoo: I'm so happy to be home! And my cats are even happier, lol! (They weren't too sure about the temporary move down there.) :D I can't wait to catch up, but unless I stay up late tonight, I'll have to wait until tomorrow. I have 101 things waiting on me to do right now, but I wanted to drop in and say, I'm back, woohoo!!! :yay:
|
Welcome back Jacqui! I was just getting ready to post that I didn't think you were coming back. And Rennie's MIA, too.
I'm here but nothing to say, really. Eat, sleep, surf the net. What a life. |
Welcome back Jacqui! Evening all :)
I went to a beginner yoga class for an hour tonight before dinner. The first half hour was a piece of cake. Then we got into some positions that we held a bit longer and required more balance and it became a little tougher. I bought a card for 8 classes, so I, committed for seven more, but I do not have to go to the see one ell the time. Break - BLT wrap Snack - cutie Lunch - BLT wrap Dinner - Tuscan chicken |
LEELEE, I know I'm late saying this, but :welcome: Good idea posting your meals. That absolutely helps keep me accountable. So glad to have you here! :yay: About the daily fluctuations (below 188 to 188.6 reference), it happens! Even if you stay OP, you will have daily fluctuations. It just how our bodies work. So just roll with it because as long as you stay OP, it will keep dropping overall.
PinkHurricane, :welcome3: to you too! And CONGRATS on losing 53 lbs! that's fantastic! :woohoo: Carol Sue, lol! Nope, I'm not going anywhere. But it sure did feel like it being gone so long! The thing is it wasn't supposed to be that long. We just had so much to do and so little time to do it in. We even have to go back on Friday but that is just to sign legal papers with a notary public. Our previous renter was trying to buy the home from us on a land contract and since that fell through, we have to legally end that contract. The new renters called last night and said that the washer water line that the previous renter ran when she moved the spot for the washer had a terrible leak last night when they were trying to hook up their washer, so we have to get a plumber in for that. (We hired one after my DH couldn't fix the leak under the house, so hopefully he can get back out there quickly.) It just seems endless! The new renters want to buy the house in 6 months to a year. I have my fingers crossed! :crossed: Read about your DH's concern about carbs and cancer. Good for him on wanting to make changes for his health! Wonderful that he now eats salmon and likes it! :cp: Lol! I hope I haven't scared people off (although you may be right)! I have tried to be better about not being so blunt. Does it show? Old dog, new tricks though. :dunno: Sometimes the Marine Corps-raised / teacher side of me just comes out before I realize it, haha! :drill:  Rennie, thank you for staying in touch with me by text and updating everyone for me when I couldn't! How is your diet going? It was going well when I was in contact with you last. Is it still going well? Eating out did a number on me, so I'm up, but it's not too bad and I'll get back down to business now! Well, after Easter, lol! I imagine I'll spurge on Easter more than on usual Carb Days. I typically do on holidays! :D PrairieQueen, I'm so sorry to hear that perimenopause has been giving you fits. It's definitely no fun! I just got back and you're about to leave for FL, aren't you? Will you be able to check in? Of course, it is your Spring Break, so you may not want to! Enjoy the sun! :beach: On the treadmill issue, if you will use it, they are a great idea! I prefer to walk a track (I can't walk sidewalks; they're too hard on my joints), but there are lots of people at the gym who walk and run on the treadmills. :running: Yay on the hubs watching his carbs! :cp: I'm so interested to hear how your yoga goes as it progresses! I'd love to do that but I'm not so sure my body will get into positions like that anymore, lol! :D Melissa, read about your town's oysterfest. My town celebrates pumpkins and you'll see I LOVE pumpkin foods. Pumpkin and mint chocolate are my favorite sweet flavors. It's a good thing you like oysters since that's what your town celebrates, lol! :hungry: I hear you on needing to get back to exercise! I have been doing a lot of work that would constitute exercise, but it just doesn't have the same effect for me as an exercise routine. ZCA72, Happy Belated On Plan 1-Year Anniversary! :celebrate: I don't think I've ever stayed on an actual plan as long as I have on the Slow Carb Diet this time around. May 3rd will be my 1-Year Anniversary and I have to admit, I'm pretty proud of myself already, lol! :D And good for you on fighting the carb munchies and staying OP! I put out chocolate candy eggs on my dining room table and when I walk through there now, my mind just automatically says, 'One won't hurt." Yes it will! Calorie-wise no, even carb-wise probably not for just one, but the damage occurs because it triggers me, and I will always want another one if I allow myself to have any at all! I know me! :nono: It looks like everyone lost some while I was gone, so great job! :woohoo: Okay, I'm going to go ahead and send this before I lose it! :fr: and I'll post my progress after! |
Wow, I was gone a long time! I wish I had remembered my scale! But I had my hands full remembering tools, paint, cleaning supplies, bedding, cats, and cat supplies! I'm not pleased with being back up to 173.5, but I am happy it's still within that 10-lb range I'm kind of allowing myself as a maintenance range. I really want to get to the gym, but I have so much to do to catch back up around here. My hubby has things he wants me to type up, we have to put things away and I could stand to dust and sweep, we have to go to the grocery, I have to get the Etsy store up and running again, I have to check on the antiques booth downtown to see what holes I need to fill in and to pick up the check from the last few weeks if there is one! The Y is staying open later now though so if I don't wear myself out, maybe I can get there tonight. :crossed:

Hi Jacqui! Congrats on the one year anniversary. Awesome job!
B: Coffee/HWC/Splenda L: 2 grilled burger patties with tomato and lettuce and mayo D: Grilled salmon and asparagus. |
Jacqui, I was just teasing about you scaring people away. I don't think you ever really did. You seemed to pick on Rennie more than anyone and she's still here, sometimes. It sounds like you got a lot done. I hope this house sale goes through and you can get that off your mind. The antiques is enough to worry about.
We went and got our taxes done this morning at the AARP free service. I found out today that is for anyone, not just senior citizens, but most of the people who use that service are retired as it is only done during the morning. Then I went grocery shopping for the rest of my Easter needs. We are going to my step-son's but I'm making a few things to take. I'm looking forward to it. I love family get-togethers. |
Awww, Carol Sue, lol, I don't "pick on" Rennie! I ADORE Rennie! If you mean I "mother-hen" her not to eat too few calories because I worry about low blood sugar or not to eat too much junk food because I worry about high blood sugar, well, yeah, okay, I am guilty of that. She's younger than us, hasn't had diabetes for very many years, and she still has a chance of reversing it. And if she can't, if it's not physically possible, I just don't want her to face having to live with damage to her eyes, her feet, her nerves, her organs, as she gets older. I have tried to be better about offering unsolicited advice all the way around though, but it's hard when I care about y'all, lol! :grouphug: I'm glad you don't think I really ran anyone off. I would feel terrible about that! Oh I am with you: I love family gatherings! I look really forward to them too. Unfortunately, I'm not going to be able to see my grandbabies on Easter. :( They go to my daughter-in-law's family get-together for Easter. I get them on Thanksgiving and Christmas, so I know I have to share, but I don't like it, lol! We just got back from grocery shopping and wow! We needed quite a bit so that was an expensive trip! Thank you on the well wishes for the house selling! Oh, I hope it does! My DH loves that house and being on the river, but it's close to two hours away and just too much trouble. I don't like going down there. I'm a homebody though. Home is my favorite place to be! :flow2:

Jacqui glad you are back. I also am worn out reading about everything. girl you are going at warp speed! a ton on your plate but it seems you were very productive in that time! catch your breath please LOL
yea I am a trigger person. one bite and OFF I go full speed into carbs at horrible binge situation. I can't pretend about it either. One of anything would mean a day or more of going totally insane. I absolutely positively will not do that to me anymore. so I stick to plan 100% like glue. CONGRATS on your year coming up so fast on plan!!! it is amazing and it truly is pride we should feel for doing this for ourselves, doing what we said we will do and just living our life how we know we should and want!! it is an accomplishment when so many are yo yo'ing all around we found our path. I was that yo you gal, but not anymore :) I had to grow up and face the real facts/truth. it stinks you know...it really does LOL but hey, one has to do what one has to do!! ---------hi all, good friday to you! My trip this weekend cancelled, it didn't go well :( tire blew on RV. close to home early on thank goodness. no one hurt. just massive damage to RV. tire went insanity and ripped off fender, tore off metal sheeting all along side, dented in my big slide, lost 2nd axle brake line, damage under floor area near axle, mangled the compartment area near it and well, just a friggin' mess. Hubby got tired changed, we collected all the damage off the road, tired up and secured hanging metal from side and limped home. rv in service, claim started etc. what a pain but hey, it is what it is and now just have to have it all fixed hanging home and doing little. mostly relaxing :) ribeye and pork chops as usual today nothing dramatic now, all is quiet and easy and just gonna stroll thru this weekend. I hope everyone has a fun holiday weekend tho but stay on plan ya'll cause I want to hear no moaning about eating junk on monday HA HA HA |
