I haven't been on the scale for a few days and I'm betting it's not pretty because we've been doing so much running around I'm neglecting my healthy eating and eating on the run. DH broke the new car already and we had to spend half the day at the dealership getting it fixed. We went out for breakfast, then headed to the dealership, went shopping for a while until it was time for the appointment they set up for us, waiting for the repairs, then went out for dinner on the way home. My body can tell I didn't eat healthy today. And I didn't drink enough water because I wasn't close enough to a bathroom. And I'm burping like crazy. LOL
I have boxes of clothes downstairs that are too small but I refuse to say I will never wear them. I have a huge rack down there of clothes that fit but won't fit in my closet. My closet is so full that you can't push the clothes aside to see what's in there. And I wear the same 10 things over and over. If got rid of everything I don't wear I will have a very empty closet, but I might wear them some day so I won't get rid of them. I could probably go six months or more without wearing the same thing twice. Maybe I'll try that. Can you see laundry day at the end of that 6 months! LOL |
Hi everyone! Carol Sue I hope it wasn't too bad of a repair. My hubs doesn't break things mechanically on the car, just little dings on the bumper from posts, a parked semi once, the back end of someone else's car. None of the other objects were damaged but his truck has a visual record of it all. That's why he doesn't drive my truck :)
Today's menu.. Break - fried egg and ham Lunch - buffalo chicken wrap Snack - white grapes Dinner - small ribeye, asparagus, small lettuce wedge w/homemade blue cheese dressing Snack - cran water Carol Sue i hope your niece is doing well. My bro goes home tomorrow. He'll still have home health visits. No more feeding tube food. However, he doesn't go in to have it removed until the 23rd. I'm planning on flying down Friday morning to Monday. I'm waiting for tomorrow afternoon to get my tickets....I always get a bargain on Tuesdays. |
PQ, this car has that feature that shows tire pressure on the instrument panel. On Saturday it showed tire pressure for all 4 tires. On Sunday it showed tire pressure for 3 tires and one blank spot. I TOLD them DH broke it, but it had a faulty sensor in the one tire that had to be replaced. I remember when you got out and looked at your tired and said "My left front tire is low....needs air." Now the car tells you.
He got upset today because it rained on the new car. Glad to hear brother is coming home. Haven't heard from nephew. Hate to bother him because he's having his own issues. Will probably call him tomorrow to see how things are going. |
Good evening everyone. Hope everyone's staying warm and safe with the winter storms arriving again. We had 5" overnight, so I got a day off school. I didn't get to sleep in though. Up to walk dogs and boy kitty, brought lots of wood in....kept fire going all day, and laundry. Booked my flights for my Florida getaway and did laundry. We may get another day tomorrow...more snow coming, and thus time I'm going back to bed after the dig walk.
Anyway, today's menu... Break - fried egg, ham, asparagus Lunch - buffalo chicken wrap, pineapple Snack - popcorn, cran water Dinner - bourbon (street) chicken w/brown rice, broc, carrots |
Lol, yep SeeMyFeet and Rennie, I'm definitely the too-low-calorie police around here :drill: so it's probably best not to let me know just how low you go, haha! :D I can understand Intermittant Fasting and don't have a problem with that. It's the day-after-day low calorie count that I become concerned about. But I have been trying to do my best not to offer unsolicited advice lately. I wouldn't test my resolve though, lol!
Carol Sue, faulty sensors are the reason why we got our newest car. I hope that it was a simple fix and you have no more trouble with it! :crossed: How is your niece? I hope she's continuing to improve! PrairieQueen, did you say a while back that you have an Etsy shop? I've been helping DH set up an Etsy vintage shop and, oh my word, it's so complicated! It's not like simply posting on Ebay or Craigslist! And I was totally confused by why they have you create and post your 1st listing, which goes live, before you even have your shipping and policies set up! Oh well! It's coming along...slowly...lol! :dizzy: So did your brother come home?! I hope so!! So I'm in a rut. I'm hoping once spring comes around, I'll be motivated to lose again. (Sunshine and salads!:sunny: ) I haven't been on the scale in the last few days because I know I'm overeating on too heavy of foods, meats and chili and nuts, etc. They're slow carb, but still, I can't lose weight at this rate! I need some lighter, greener meals! Obviously some part of me is okay with not losing right now. Maybe I need a little break, not from slow-carbing of course or 3FC, but from actively trying to lose. And maybe as I'm hoping, spring will start me off fresh again! I just need to try to stay in the 160s until then! Ugh, I'm going to have to get back on the scale sometime this week! I choose Friday, lol! Hi UpandAway and Trish! |
Nancy is still in intensive care. I think they expected her to be in a step-down room by now, but her progress is very slow. Her brother is happy that although progress is slow, there have been no setbacks. She is just inching forward. She is no longer using the respirator, but it's still hooked up in case she needs it. She hasn't needed it lately. She still cannot vocalize, but is communicating with shrugs and head nods. Her mood is good and she expresses humor at some things. Frustrated that she can't speak. Brother doesn't know why, but maybe the doctors do. Ironically, she is/was a speech therapist before she became a stay-at-home grandma. She sits in a chair part of the day. They move her to the chair....no walking. I think this is because she still has that artery 100% blocked. She tried using a white board but cannot manipulate the marker. Brain scans show no damage. I forgot to mention before that she is type 2 diabetic and her sugar was over 800 when she was admitted.
Jacqui, I am in the same spot you are. My healthy eating, salads every day, etc, has gone by the wayside. I'm eating more hot food and am up a couple lbs. Whatever you do in the interim, don't let yourself regain like you did before. I know you know that, but I just wanted to preach to you. LOL Also, I have heard some people say that eating low calorie is beneficial, but I think if doing so, you need to make sure that every bite is full of nutrients. Some say going below xxx calories causes starvation mode, and others say going below xxx calories extends life expectancy. Here are some links I found. I don't think they quote actual studies, and I know anyone can put anything on the internet. But did you ever notice that the little old ladies who live to their 90s and beyond are almost always extremely thin? When do you see an obese 90 year old? http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/3557899.stm http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/4875614.stm "Low calorie" is a relative term. How low is low? If you normally eat 3000 calories a day, then 2000 calories is low by comparison. Only one of the articles actually stated a calorie amount for one of the studies and it was in the 800 calorie range. |
It's freezing here! Florida here I come :)
Carol Sue glad to hear about your niece. It takes time or the body to heal. Break - Red's steak/cheese burrito Lunch - 1/2 portion of bourbon chicken/rice/veg Dinner - 1/2 bacon cheeseburger, hand cut fries, lite beer Snack - cran water |
Carol Sue, I'm so glad to hear that your niece is improving and it certainly dooes sound like she is. It may be slow, but it's progress. That is strange about her not being able to speak. And a blood sugar level of over 800, wow! So are they saying the high BS led to the heart attack or that the heart attack led to the high BS?
Thank you for the bit of preaching! That's exactly what I keep reminding myself! Every time a thought slips through, asking "what would it hurt if I just had a little (whatever food I'm craving, usually chocolate)," I remind myself that it can ruin everything I've worked so hard for, because I know that I won't just stop there. I will ask myself that same question each day, and then it will be more than once a day, and then it will be "Oh, what the heck," and I'll throw the towel in completely! :nono: No, no, no! I don't want to get on that roller coaster ever again. That little bit of whatever I can have on Saturday, and that should and has to be good enough! So thank you for helping me by backing up what I know is absolutely true! And I decided to go ahead and get on the scale this morning. I just knew it was going to say 170, I fully expected it, but thankfully no! I am still 167.5! :carrot: If I can stay at this weight until spring arrives, I'll be thrilled! PrairieQueen, I am SO envious! Warm sounds wonderful! :sunny: You are escaping the cold just in time! It's going to be in the single digits this weekend! :brr: |
Today Earl told me that the reason Nancy can't speak is because she has a tracheotomy, and she cannot get her wind. Whatever that means. They expect it to come back in time. When I ask him questions he calls Nancy's daughter and asks her. I think my questions are helping him find out more about her condition.
I think the blocked artery caused the heart attack, and maybe the blood sugar shot way up because of the heart attack. She was never good at controlling her blood sugar. Also, the heart valve might have had something to do about it since they felt that it was necessary to replace that valve right away. She got a mechanical valve replacing her Mitral valve. Good for you on the scale, Jacqui. I'm back up, knocking on the door to the 200s again. |
Carol Sue, yes, I am sure your questions are helping him. He just may not know what questions to ask, but others will ask him, so it's good you are helping him learn the answers! Okay, that makes sense that she can't talk if she has a trach. I bet it's along the same lines of you can't hum if you hold your nose. (Where's Mars when we need her?!)
Thank you! I'm really surprised I don't weigh in the 170's but then I think I'm just confusing maintaining with gaining weight. Since I was actively trying to lose all those months, when I eat a little more, I automatically think I'm gaining. I keep forgetting there's a level in between losing and gaining, lol! :dizzy: I hope you don't cross into the 200s, but if you do, we'll both have to get back down to business when it warms up. (Darn those winter comfort foods, haha!) :hungry: I didn't weigh this morning. I'm going to keep trying to skip a few days, and see how it goes. :goodscale: PrairieQueen, did you make to Florida?! :sunny: SeeMyFeet, how's your RA in this bitter cold weather? You doing okay? :?: Rennie, UpandAWay, and Trish, how's it going? I hope y'all are having better luck with your diets in the winter than I am! :crossed: |
Evening all!
Carol Sue great to hear Your niece continues to improve! Good vibes still being sent her way. Jacqui I fly out of Cinci at 6:55am so I'll be leaving my house by 4:30am! It's supposed to be between 73 and 79 the days I'm there :) Break - Reds Canadian bacon/egg/cheese burrito Lunch - 1/2 bacon cheeseburger Dinner - beef pesto pasta, lettuce wedge/blue cheese dressing Snack - cran water |
I am not a FL lover, but 73 degrees sure sounds good right now. Single digits here. Brrrrr
I didn't know you couldn't hum if you hold your nose, but I tried it and you're right! Who says you can't still learn at 70? Did I tell you about Nancy and the tablecloths? At the picnic this summer Nancy brought tons of table cloths and I helped her put them on the tables. I told her I never knew anyone who had so many, and she said whenever anyone dies, she always gets the tablecloths. So I told DH that when I die, make sure Nancy gets my tablecloths. So she HAS to live longer than me! LOL |
Happy Saturday! Arrived in FL before 9:30 am yesterday to warm sunshine. It's supposed to be 75 and sunny today. Hubs has 7 with a wind chill of -8!
It was a great reunion :) going to farmers market in a bit. Friday's menu... Lunchfast - 6" subway club w/mustard Snack - prosciutto roll Dinner - cinci chili spaghetti three way Snack - apple |
Here is the latest email I got from Earl.
Yesterday they moved Nancy to a rehab center right next door to where Courtney works. I think it's called "Life Care." Courtney doesn't have a lot of details, but she thinks they will do occupational and physical therapy, and maybe even speech therapy, which is intended to help her re-learn to eat. This is ahead of the schedule we all anticipated, so we're pretty happy and thankful for this development. http://www.lifecare-hospitals.com/hospital/pittsburgh Seems like a nice place. I hope her insurance is going to pay for this. So great that her daughter works next door. So ironic that Nancy is a speech therapist. |
Carol Sue, that is wonderful news about Nancy!!! I am so glad she is on the road to recovery and ahead of schedule! :flow2: And that is funny about the tablecloths, lol! I've never heard of anyone coming away with the tablecloths before. :D
PrairieQueen, warm weather sounds like heaven right now! It has been so cold and snowy here! :brr: Poor hubs, lol! I'm sorry I've been AWOL all weekend. DH and I were down at our house on the river trying to get it back up to par. I'm afraid it's going to take a few weekends, but at least we got it started. I went on youtube to learn a technique for repairing holes in hollow doors, so hopefully it will work and we won't have to replace doors! And I'm hoping the fact that our carpets are Stainmaster will make a difference when we get Stanley Steamer in there and they will come clean. They are such a mess. The renters even destroyed the handles on the sliding glass doors, oh and the curtain rods! I just don't understand how people can live like that. But anyway, we are working on it and hopefully we can get the house back into some kind of good shape. It's just really disappointing. And my arthritic hands are feeling it today. Too much scrubbing! Oh well! |
Carol Sue, I just clicked on the link to the rehab facility for the one in PA, and it looks really nice. I hope Nancy does well there! :)
|
Jacqui, I don't understand how some renters live! I remember one time the people were complaining about the conditions in the projects in my old hometown. The news went in with their cameras and showed conditions. There were bathroom sinks pulled off the bathroom walls. I don't care what they say, that is not normal wear and tear! Some low life did that purposely. I hope it doesn't take too much to get your place back in shape.
This is the deadest I've ever seen this thread. Where is everyone? We really need Mars and Chickadeee! Prairie, Rennie, Seemyfeet, Upandaway, and whoever else is missing! |
I'm drowning in work....weight loss is stuck...big time...Fortunately, most things in my life are ok, except for the usual, and oh so predictable, conflicts, roadblocks, and back stabs at work...Not doing a good job with taking care of myself, or my family...but trying to hand in there.
|
I'm back! My flight out was canceled yesterday after two delays, so the whole crew (mom, stepdad, bro, and bro's little Pomeranian) all came back to airport to fetch me. Back up at 4:30am for the new 6:20am flight that actually took off at 7. Only stepdad was willing to get up and drive me in the pouring rain. I had to use one of my two remaining personal days for missing work today.
Carol Sue that is fantastic news about Nancy. She'll be talking in no time. I was pretty good with my menus even though we ate out a few times. Sunday Breakfast - Red's chicken/cheese burrito Lunch - Apple Dinner - 4 oz baby sirloin steak, mashed potatoes, steamed carrots/green beans/peppers, two lite beers Monday Breakfast - Red's steak/cheese burrito Snack - Apple Lunch - 6" subway Italian bmt Dinner - three fig newtons |
Today DH shocked the heck out of me when I asked him what he wanted for dinner and he said Salmon. That is one of the things I keep in the house for those nights when I cook separate meals for each of us, because he doesn't eat certain things. I cooked it on my grill pan and it turned out so good. DH left his on the pan a few minutes longer because he likes his food cooked to death, but he said he liked it and ate 2 pieces. I'm happy on one hand, and on the other had I realize I now have to share my Salmon with him. For our sides I made green beans and Uncle Ben's Broccoli Rice and Cheese. All gone! LOL
SeeMyFeet, sorry you are having troubles at work. Don't let it put you in a tail spin. Prairie Queen, glad you had a nice visit and are home safe and sound! |
SMF sorry to hear about your work situation. Stay strong!
Hi Carol Sue, Rennie, Jacqui, and all you other folks hiding out there. After all the harsh cold, we're getting g 60 degrees Friday! Thank you El Niņo :) Today's menu... Breakfast - McD's sausage burrito Lunch - Red's chicken/cilantro/lime burrito Dinner - topless cheeseburger, green beans, cran water |
I'm sorry I've been missing days. I am staying so busy since DH and I got back into the antique business! My weight loss is paying for it too! I'm just not eating as well as I should. I absolutely refuse to eat a bite of foods not allowed except on Saturdays, but my meals are not balanced and definitely not green enough. I feel like I'm always eating on the run or eating out or eating in a hurry! And well, always eating! I feel so hungry. I'm sure that's the leptin effect and I keep telling myself to fight it, but until I get some kind of balance back, I just keep grabbing convenience foods that are probably triggering my hunger even more! :dizzy: I'm hoping I can get a routine established and things will get better. Having to go to the house on the river on weekends is not helping! I haven't figured it out yet but I will (I hope)! :chin:
Carol Sue, yay on DH eating salmon! That's so healthy for him and your meal overall was very healthy! :hungry: I agree with you on the issue of people trashing where they live. I don't get it either and it's definitely not normal wear and tear! We DO need Mars and Chickadeee back! I hope they are both doing well. PrairieQueen, welcome back! You left at just the right time as I'm sure your DH let you know, lol! It has been so cold! :brr: I'm glad you are bringing warmer weather back with you though, lol! SeeMyFeet, I'm sorry you are having a rough time at work. But yes, hang in there. You do need to take care of yourself. We all do! I can't help but think things will get better weight-wise when it warms up. I may be wrong but spring is such a time of renewal and that's what I'm hoping! :crossed: So I haven't been on the scale all week. Oh, I am dreading it! If I don't step on tomorrow, I will on Friday! Hi Rennie, UpandAway, Trish! Where are you, chickies? |
Waiting for the warm up.............
Knee feeling a little better. Less swelling. This morning I got up out of my chair without pushing up on the arms. Yay!! |
Evening all! Not much to talk about except that my weight has been stuck for two weeks even thought I've been OP and low cal. The first week was Aunt Flo. Just when I got it back down I flew to FL and it was up a pound again even though I was so good. Oh well, maybe a whoosh is on its way.
Today's chow.... Breakfast - fried egg, half hash brown Lunch - Red's steak/cheese burrito Dinner - spicy orange beef w/brown rice & broccoli Snack - cran water |
Hi everyone! Where did everybody go?
Friday's menu... Breakfast - McD's sausage burrito Lunch - 1/2 portion of spicy orange beef w/brown rice & broc Snack - a few almonds and dried blueberries Dinner - 2 slices homemade pizza, two light beers My water weight + some is gone, but still only two pounds down this month. I am adjusting my calorie intake to my new weight, but the 140s are tough to say goodbye to. Come on spring and gardening season! It was 61 degrees in my part of ohio yesterday. It's supposed to be 64 today. I may go to an auction 20 miles from here....still debating. Have a good weekend! |
PrairieQueen, I'm sure you do have a whoosh in store! :carrot: Things just have to get back to normal for you! I love that it's supposed to be so pretty today! Hubs talked about going to an auction over by Dayton, or below Dayton (somewhere around there), but it's quite a distance from us and our daughter will coming home, so I doubt we'll go. It looks like an amazing auction though!
Carol Sue, is your knee acting up again? :( I hope it continues to get better! :getwell: So I'm still in the 160s right now! :cp: The key words are "right now," lol! I'm at 169. Today is Carb Day so I'll be going up at least temporarily. I hope it's temporary! :crossed: |
Knee has been ok the past couple days. I've been doing some leg lifts, babying it, and wore my knee brace when shopping yesterday. A little swollen today. I don't know if I'm retaining water all over.
Nancy is doing well in the rehab facility from what I hear, but her brother Earl, who has cancer got bad news this week. Cancer is progressing in spite of treatment. He was told at diagnosis that it was terminal, but we are still praying. Miracles do happen! These 2 people are my closest relatives. Both of their parents were blood relatives of mine, but not blood relatives to each other. They were my father's daughter and my mother's nephew. We are going to the casino today, and I don't want to even talk about the scale. LOL |
Carol Sue have fun at the casino! I've only been once to play. Watch that knee.
Jacqui my auction was in Jeffersonville, and it was a bust. I did stop at the outlets on the way home though :) There's one tomorrow in Greene County that looks more promising. Hope your house is coming along. My parents owned seven rental homes at one point in my childhood. they sold last one in late 80s because things were getting too messy for them. Food today... Breakfast - slice of pizza, 1/2 bacon sandwich Lunch - spicy orange beef w/broc and brown rice Snack - pineapple Dinner - chicken fajita w/sour cream and guacamole |
No luck at the casino. I had 2 good visits last month and I know you can't win all the time!! My knee held up OK, but I didn't do as much walking around as I usually do. I didn't wear my knee brace. I ate well at the buffet, as usual. I don't hold back on portions there, but I do stay away from carbs. I had a stuffed shell but only because it was stuffed with crab meat and I mostly just ate the stuffing. Our temp went up to 71 yesterday and it was bright and sunny. Today it's overcast. Cold weather is coming back and maybe snow.
|
No excitement today, just the normal .....went grocery shopping w/hubs, made a new recipe, loved on my kitties.
Breakfast - three rashers, two fried eggs Lunch - slice of pizza Snack - popcorn Dinner - grilled wings w/chipotle cherry sauce and baked fries |
HI ALL
I am new to the site. I saw 'carb sensitive' thread and knew this is where I belong :) I tried Atkins 20 net and did a little ok, then failure, then every time I went into induction again to gain control I did so well. So now I eat Atkins 1972 Induction food list and I am basically zero carb eater. I do however reserve the right to go up to about 5-6 total carbs per day if needed....like being forced to eat out somewhere and have a salad to get by :) eliminating carbs was my way to survive and feel my absolute best. I feel wonderful eating a ZC menu, I am a meat hound to the max! I just want to say hi and would love to chat with fellow carb sensitive posters. |
No Internet, on my phone.....
Break - McD's sausage burrito Snack - handful of almonds & dried blueberries Lunch - no cheese chicken fajita Dinner - lettuce wedge w/blue cheese dressing, lasagne Snack - cran water |
55 minute hardcore calorie burn exercise tape (oh yes I feel this one!)
1/2 hr. with high incline and fast pace on my treadmill 1/2 hr. with high resistance trainer program on my recumbent bike food today is ribeye with little garlic butter plain country style pork spare ribs A ton of rain outside and pouring buckets. No outside fun today. inside exercise and 100% on plan eating zero carb is what works for this old girl :) I hope everyone has a great day on plan and is feeling strong in their LC ways!! |
:welcome: ZCA72! Happy to have you! I'm glad you have found a way of eating that works for you! Wow, is that your normal exercise routine? If so, good for you! If not, be careful not to burn too fast and bright from both ends. We don't want you burning out! You look like you are determined and on a roll though, so great job! :cp:
Carol Sue, oh I am so sorry about your nephew. I have him in my prayers. Miracles do happen and I hope he knows that, because I think believing you can get well somehow is the basis for such miracles. The mind can do amazing things and with the Good Lord's help, I hope he will start to improve! I'm glad to hear your niece is getting along well! No, you can't win at the casino every time, lol! I hate to hear that your knee is still acting up! :( PrairieQueen, that's too bad your auction didn't pan out. It happens! We didn't end up going to our auction, not with our daughter coming home! :cp: Our house on the river is getting better little by little. There is still so much to do though! Okay, my little experiment of trying to back off for a bit from watching my weight so carefully is backfiring, so I am going back to what is tried and true for me--weighing every day, posting my menus every day, and exercising. It's not so much my weight that is driving me. I'm up to 172.5 this morning, but that doesn't worry me. It's still a comfortable weight on me. What is driving me is how bad I feel today. My RA has decided to kick in, and I just know my slack-off diet is contributing to it. I'm overeating, to the point of bingeing at times, and yesterday I picked up this nut, seed, fruit mixture at the store, and I ate the whole bag, and although I didn't look at the label I suspect it contained sugar, although it could have been sweetener because it seemed really sweet; I ate chicken tenders, which I allow occasionally but the breading I'm sure didn't help; and I drank all Diet Dr. Pepper and only one bottle of water all day. Today I really hurt. So, enough! Back to tried and true, starting with eating well and MODERATELY, drinking water and only one Diet Dr. Pepper if any, and once my RA calms back down (and I don't think that will be today. I'm even having a tough time typing), back to the gym! I can't wait for Spring and consistently warm weather to renew my efforts. I have to get back on top of this now. So today is Day 1 of Week 1 of my renewed effort, and I'm not even going to hide behind my ticker glory, lol! I'm going to move my ticker back up to make it real and to make myself push to get back to goal! Edited to Add: I'm keeping my 1st ticker the same. It's motivating. It's the 2nd ticker I'm changing. I'm scrapping the bonus goal (at least for now). I can see it's going to be a challenge for me simply to maintain my 164 goal! I've heard maintaining is really bouncing up a few lbs and having the discipline to get those few lbs back down. That's what I need to concentrate on! Week 41: 2/23--172.5 2/24-- 2/25-- 2/26-- 2/27-- Today's Meals: Breakfast: 2 fried eggs 2 slices of bacon Mio water Lunch: Yogurt Protein Bar Mio water Tea Time: Dinner: Fried Chicken from Kroger (still too much!) :nono: Yogurt Diet Dr. Pepper Today's Exercise: |
Hi Jacqui
thanks for the welcome. yea that is my new normal during cold months. I am an outdoor gal, swim, bike, mountain trail hikes. but when chilly weather hits I stay inside...so at some point I must move. eating this way gives me SO much energy that I must do something, move the old body :) no burning out thank goodness. You are having a tough time, sorry for your RA troubles. Key is if eating clean and plain suits you best and you feel alot better physically, do not walk away from it! How bad you feel has got to be that 'deciding factor' on what you eat. I see you have stats close to mine. Did you lose it eating zero carb or very low carb? I lost about 25 and then yo yo yo yo like crazy on Atkins net 20. only when I went into Atkins 1972 original version induction food list did I start to lose rapidly. biological 0 carb. I do skip the veg/salad he suggests tho. Now all I want is goal :) |
Jacqui, sorry about the house and your hands  And you'll figure it all out with eating and life, you always do  Jacqui, we rent and always have. I tell the kids treat this house like it is yours. When someone knocks on the door or your friend wants to drop in you shouldn't have to say no because it looks like someone went crazy in there. Now keeping it straight is another issue altogether :) Jacqui I sure hope so also ---> I can't help but think things will get better weight-wise when it warms up. I may be wrong but spring is such a time of renewal and that's what I'm hoping! :crossed: ... :woohoo: Jacqui is BACK :cheer:. I so wish I could join you on the week 1 day 1 journey but I don't want to disappoint myself. I need to get to where you are in your head space with a way to renew my efforts. I took the goal part off of my ticker also. Not gonna change it to today's weigh in because my whooshes rarely last.
Carol Sue, good to hear about Nancy and the new rehab center. Praying all goes well  Carol Sue your salmon dinner sounds good. Isn't it funny how you end up sharing what you use to only like, now you need to purchase more. But it's a good thing for him to now like :) Carol Sue, glad your knee is getting better. I guess I didn't go back far enough. What's going on with you knee? Ok just read the update on your knee. Take care of yourself. Good to hear about Nancy and so sorry to hear about Earl. I'm praying for all with any illness. I have been hit with the news of relatives and friends with cancer. Some the cancer is gone, some it's spreading. God is a miracle worker, He will prevail. We have to have faith that He is, He can and He will. Good job at the casino buffet, gotta love our weather right :) SeeMyFeet, sorry about the work issues  That is clearly why I keep to myself and I mean keep to myself at work. I have a few that I chat with from time but 9 times out of 10 spiritually related. However, I often feel like I am not taking care of myself or giving my family my all as I should. We'll get through this  PrairieQueen, good to hear you are safely back at home. :) I looked up your Red's burritos. I'm gonna try to find the bean and cheddar one. It says Food Lion and Kroger. So of course I will have to go to each one to see if they have that particular one. It has a good amount of protein and fiber :). Then two if I try I may be able to make my own with low carb tortilla, fresh pintos, cheddar and salsa. I wonder what that would taste like. Thanks for posting :) PQ hoping your whoosh is on the way :crossed: We had 60 degree temps on Sunday also, what a blessing after the teens and twenties :) Sorry abut your phone internet, that always happens to me at work :( Hope it comes up soon. ZCA72 :wel3fc: and to the thread :) Would you mind posting your menu? I'm always interested in seeing how one can only eat 5-6 carbs a day. Thanks ... and I like how you came up with your user name. clever :) Is the menu you posted all day or just breakfast and lunch. How many ounces of each? Thanks ... I do skip the veg/salad he suggests tho.<--- Do you not eat any veggies, unless you go out for a meal? Doesn't that do something to your body? (so I've read on 3FC about too much protein) I'm full of questions as you can tell, always wanting to learn something new for Jacqui to snack my hand about (my Mama Hen) :) well if you go to my weigh in thread you'll see that I have been all over the place this month. I'll do well a few days and then sabotage the whole thing. I had a nice whoosh so weight right now is 169.4. I want to see 165 by months end but I think I have pretty much wrecked that so if I get to 167-168 and stay awhile I'll be happy. Mars where are you? |
Hi Love2b
thanks for the welcome my username is ZC (zero carb) and Atkins 1972 original version (A72) combined. This is the way I will eat for life :) I figured it is SO me so I thought it would make a good username LOL I eat zero carb daily BUT I started on Atkins 1972 induction food list. Dr A allowed small limited salad and very limited veggie in this induction food list. I noticed I just do not want the veggies/salad at all so I basically eat 0 carb from that list. I eat ZC but IF BY ANY means I must default when out or whatever situation I can't get my ZC foods, I will just get a salad. No veggies. only leafy greens, cukes. I don't eat green beans, carrots or anything like that ever. People can easily survive on no veggies ever. they are not needed to live. thing is the best I can say is if you research ZC eating you can see that vitamins and minerals all can be supplied by meats. I did research and believe that ZC eating is truly healthy. This is a personal call tho by each individual. many believe fiber is a must, I happen to not think that at all. But it comes down to researching it all to your own satisfaction. Been eating ZC for about 10 months now and I feel the absolute best I ever have!!! BUT for my own preference I do take one multi vitamin per day :) :) I think it just comes down to what suits you individually. I am a meat hound and can easily fall into ZC eating. Others just are more comfortable eating some lc veggies and some lc fruits. I just don't require this. being so carb sensitive, the more carbs I eat the more I crave and go right off plan. my only control is to eliminate the carbs period and it just works best for me. menu today has been: 10 oz ribeye steak with butter 1/2 lb. bacon as snack :) dinner either crab legs and butter OR country style pork spare ribs. that is my day today on eating. hope I gave you some info on ZC and what it is like for me :) |
Here we go again PQ, you have me googling "rashers!" LOL
