I know how you feel Amanda, I was very worried about my week long vacation and it turned out okay. I did not lose but I did not gain a lot either. I enjoyed my dinners but skipped the french fries. I had my bread but skipped the dipping oil or butter. Have fun on Saturday.
My goal weight from MRC center is 162 lbs, this gives me over 5 lbs to play with, I am happy with 170 lbs. That's how they said it. I am worried about maintenance as well, but let's get to my goal weight first because I create myself headaches.
Hi!
I successfully made it through the plan back in 2010 and lost almost 50 pounds - kept it off for nearly 3 years. Unfortunately, while I was deployed I got injured and got to spend almost 10 months convalescing in a military hospital where they pumped me up with cortisone and steroids to try and fix my injuries. So of course I regained EVERYTHING!
I tried last summer to start back up... bought HNS from diet direct and was doing fine for about a month then life and other stuff derailed me. So here I go again, I went back to the center and stocked up again. Honestly, the supplements cost about the same either way. With diet direct you only save if they're doing a no shipping special or if they put the supplements on sale so I just decided I'll go to the center since its more convenient and I don't have to wait.
The first time I did this, I was so strict with myself and I did lose about 2.5 to 3 pounds a week. Worked out like a crazy woman and lost 25 the first 3 months, took a short vacation to Vegas and also rewarded myself with a 4 day cheating binge... nothing too crazy. Then the next 3 months didn't work out at all and still lost 25 pounds. My center actually forced me to go onto maintenance because I had gone 5 pounds past my goal weight... I didn't want to stop for fear of gaining it all back. Glad I did that because once I did start maintenance I gained 5-7 pounds back but I did maintain for almost 3 years after that. I was always so worried though about rebounding that I reverse cheated... meaning I would keep going back to eating like I was on plan more than the maintenance way of eating. 15 pounds did find their way back into my life but I was ok with that but always watching out for a backspin.
Anyway... so here I am.. again. Actually started back 3 1/2 weeks ago. Lost 4 pounds the first week and have already plateaued. I've been bouncing back and forth between the same 4 pounds. I'm sure it's a water intake issue. I struggle with remembering to drink an ocean of water every day but I try. Work keeps me so busy that I barely have time to hydrate.
Keep at it... this does work.
Congratulation on keeping the weight off for 3 years. You can do it again, you started, now you have to stay motivated to stick with it. I know drinking the gallon of water is a nightmare. I do so well on days I work and then the weekend comes and I do drink less or most of in the evening - that in return keeps me up at night.
I noticed as well that tough workouts do not give a quick change on the scale but a moderate workout 3 times a week seems to help me. I am at a rate of losing 2 lbs a week right now. 31 days so far.
Yes & no, I drank more lemon water. I sometimes eat a little more salad or vegetables and between 4-5 oz of protein. It usually does not make a big difference.
I expressed my concerns about calories, hunger, and also my worries about maintenance. My consultant seemed happy that I was asking questions about the plan since it was not making me feel good. She said that I should not be hungry especially hungry enough to make my stomach growl.
I asked about dropping the carbs and upping the meat to help with the hunger, and she gave me the meat loves menu. I will start on it monday. Since I have my girls weekend this weekend and I plan to indulge a bit, I am going back to weigh in monday. This will give an accurate starting point for the new program, and we are going to compare how my body reacts to 4 weeks on the new program vs my first 4 weeks on the old. I am very excited about the change. To be honest I was not really feeling the old plan.
Have an an awesome weekend. I am off to a soccer game then to my girls's night.
Woohoo, a few pounds less for you. As I told you before, I am not hungry at all on the plan. Maybe the meatlovers plan is it for you, I wonder how many carbs you are allowed to eat.
I had an awesome weigh in today, down 1 pound but they measured me and I lost 27 inches in 34 days. I am in the next size down clothing in my closet. This gave me a boost again to be good this weekend. I celebrate with salmon over broccoli rabe or spinach.
Do you miss a glass of wine here and there? I do.
Enjoy the soccer game and your girls night out!!!! I spend the last 2 evenings at track meets, it is fun to see your kids excel.

I was missing wine but I had some last night at my girls night. I woke up with a massive food hangover this morning and my stomach was on fire. I ate real onions ( which I have always tolerated) with my salad last night, and I bet that was the culprit for the burning acid feeling in my stomach. I can honestly say I am ready for my fresh start tomorrow on the new plan. I am going in to weigh and get total body stats on day one tomorrow, so we will know how how my body is impacted by the new plan. As embarrassing as it is to weigh in after a cheat it will be awesome to see progress. I am so excited! As far as carbs go, I will get the serving of veggies with each meal. Same serving as you get now but with breakfast as well. Fat is increased too.
I was up 4-5 pounds at my weigh in yesterday. I am not upset about it. The purpose was to get a baseline body fat percentage. I was down 1/2 a percent in the past 10 days which is awesome!
I am loving meat lovers delight so far! It is only day 2 so that may change, but as of now I am so happy with it! Not hungry at all and back to weight I was at my real weigh in on Friday after only one day.

The meat lovers delight is a great menu/plan! Good luck
I really was not prepared for how strong these carb cravings are! I caved in already and had some fruit. It looks like the old plan may be the better option for me after all! This is rough girls!
Sorry to hear Amanda, maybe you can find something you can eat instead of carbs. Like atkins has great chocolate bars, maybe a third or half will do the trick. For me the green plan is the best because I need to have some carbs as well.
Today at my weigh in ( I stayed the same - after losing 4 pounds last week) the consultant was very discouraged that I did not lose and was suspecting me to eat more than I did. I wrote down my extra slices of bread for Sunday. On top I was sick for 2 days, still have the fever blisters on my lips, taking medicine, the sweet night quill has a lot of sugar too. I was really ticked off, I will let the owner know on Saturday when I see her. I was fine not losing again, what do they expect. Sorry for the rant.
Chocolate cheesecake I would be mad too if they accused me of being dishonest about what I was eating. There is just no need for that. Plus after a 4 pound loss that is expected!
I am back on the green menu today. I hope everyone has had a great week.
Tomorrow night we are going to dinner with some friends. It will be fun. I will do my best but no promises.
I was a former MRC client and had a successful weight loss(45 lbs), but have put my weight back on over the past 7-8 years. I recently lost my job and am wanting to give it another go and have ordered the products that I previously used online (to save myself the cost of the program). I cannot find my packet of paperwork with the food lists and meal plans for the first 5/10 days and so on. Is there anyone out there that would be willing to email them to me...I would be very grateful, thank you!!

Maybe someone on here will send them to you. We have been told that they are copyrighted though.
