I weighed in on Friday and was up .5 pounds. But, I was down 12 inches in the past 2 months (only about 3-5 pounds, but 12 inches!!!). Mom signed the 40 pound board.
I went shopping this weekend and snagged 2 dresses (size medium and a size 10). I even tried on a size small top and it fit beautifully, though I'm more comfortable in mediums. My "donate" pile of clothes is huge!
Onward and downward, friends

AshleyRae: Up .5 that's nothing and down 12" that's awesome! I lost 13" total during my ten wk plan! congrats to your mom on 40 lbs!!
Even tho I'm in maintenance I'm shooting for 160 lbs now!

Way to go Ashley and mom, Skelley and Patzi!
I love seeing your successes and wish more people would share - I think this site has a lot of viewers but not as many participants as it used to.
It always helps me to know what others go through and suggestions and motivational tips are what keeps me going.
The hours of the new center in town is 9-6 and only open Mon and Fridays.
There's another location 45 min away that's open more days and maybe on Saturday so if my work schedule is crazy - I could prob make it there every once in awhile. I'll most likely go during lunch on Fridays.
My DH bought ice cream home last night and I told him I'm starting my diet Friday and seeing a counselor. And told him if he bought home desserts, that they wanted to meet w him too. LOL!!
Not really his fault... Poor thing is confused. One week I'm on a diet, then I'm not! And he doesn't have weight problem so ok for him to eat it. I'll just have a yummy choc truffle PB2 shake
I'm trying the Great Lakes Collagen powder mixed in bottled water w a sprinkle of Crystal Light fruit punch and it really is like a HNS but much tastier
Dissolves perfectly in water. Not hurting my stomach.
I think before I was drinking on an empty stomach so thanks for the recommendation.
Will I get the new diet Day 1 or will I start w a precondition diet like I did before?

I agree Big Dog, in the past years, this group was a lot more active.. Even though I am on maintenance, I need motivation to stay there and enjoy
listening to everyone.. We use to share recipes when I first started and I really enjoyed that, as I never used the supplements for cooking when I was losing weight.

Even though hubby brings in food, you will reach a frame of mind, that it is ok for him to eat it and not you, as you have the weight problem not him. My husband is thin and can eat anything and I had to adjust to him eating things he liked. He eats very healthy, so it was not that bad. I made him healthy desserts that he was use to eating, and I did not eat them. Not easy for sure, but I wanted to lose this time with no cheating and thank goodness I made it.
And remember when you do lose the weight, you can have anything you want in moderation as long as it is not a trigger and puts weight on. If it does, then you will be in a good place to know how to take it off..

I had maintenance weigh in and maintained.. Still 5 pounds under goal.

Wishing everyone a good weight loss or maintain week.

Bigdog you will do fine, as to whether or not they do pre-conditioning anymore I'm not sure. The new More menu is really nice you will like it.

Patzi congrats on your weigh in, I go this Saturday!

I agree this forum seems to lighten up then slow down. I don't post as often but I still get on here and read and post when I can.

Goodluck to everyone

I successfully lost 45 pounds in 2010, and it's found its way back. So here I go again, this time on my own. Been at it about 6 weeks, but things are going much slower this time, and I'm lacking motivation. Don't know why, because watching the pounds just melt away last time was motivation enough. Gotta do this!

CMB - I did the same thing and when I lost the 35 lbs last time I swore I wouldn't gain it back and here I am again!!
I changed jobs so didn't have a center near me to go to so figured I could do it on my own. I did for awhile, then like you said life got in the way- caring for elderly in laws and my dad, changing careers, Yay! husband buying a restaurant Yay! - now 35 lbs back on and is it just me or are they making clothes smaller now? . Going through menopause but I can't blame my weight gain on that- it's overloading on carbs and comfort foods, exercising less (work 8-5) and love margaritas and lots of boating and camping trips. Which is motivation in itself as it's easier to climb up a boat ladder, walk and play w the dogs, do camping stuff when I'm lighter and more fit.
My meeting was scheduled last Friday to rejoin and I had to reschedule till tomorrow pm because of work schedule
Hope my consultation goes well!! And hope they still have the $99 special for 12 weeks
Good luck everyone on their weight loss!!

Ok, officially joined today!!
Got the Metabolic More Pre- Conditioning Menu and will do that for 7 days. I did get the special rejoin special 12 weeks for $99 which will take me through Nov.
Weighed in 8 lbs more than I did last month so glad I finally joined. Summer is the hardest for me with all the festivitals and beer trucks! And eating out all the time.
I like the counselor- she told me about the big 3 and how I needed them to succeed and I told her I did this plan before, love it and did not take any of them and did very well. Told her I would not sign up if I had to do them. Told her I still had the $80 bottle of Phenatrim that I couldn't take. She said only the HNSs were required. So last time I joined I spent $400 which included a hormone test and the bottle of Phenatrim for 17 weeks so I'm happy with the $99. She said the boxes of HNSs were 5 for $55 or 10 for $100. Sorry for all the boring details!!! She gave me some great suggestions for meals and said Light n Lively Greek yogurt was better than plain and high in protein. I told her I love food suggestions because that will keep me on program and not feel deprived.
Is there anyone that has just joined or rejoined?
Next weigh in is Friday so here I go!!!

I have been avoiding my scale lately. It has been over a year since I have been to MRC. Lost 50 pounds the first time and felt great. I never completed stabilization. Now I have a postcard for the new menu/$99 re-enroll and it is tempting. I still have boxes of protein. Is the menu that different?

Bigdog is the metabolic more pre-conditioning different than the original pre-conditioning menu?

Thanks

I had maintenance weigh in this morning and I maintained, and even lost 1/2 pound, so am 5 1/2 pounds under goal. Really watching the carbs, as I have a wedding next month and have a dress can't gain any weight or it will be tight.
I never thought I would ever see the day that I could again get into a tight fitting dress. It feels real good.

Hope everyone has a great weight loss weight.

First of all, it's a lot easier to read and follow . I'll have to pull my old info and compare. It has the list of proteins, starch, veg., fruits, healthy fats, salad dressing, seasonings, beverages listed and you choose one item from each group. Counselor told me to substitute a yogurt for the starch in the am, lunch - eliminate the starch, dinner - forget the fruit and starch and eat 2 veggies instead. I didn't want to question her judgement but was wondering why all the changes? Would love some feedback on what others are being told in the precondition stages
Maybe she knows this combo works better?

I don't recall the preconditioning, but am interested to see what others have to say...How long is preconditioning ? Carbs work havoc on me, and I did not have any when I started Meta Slim.. I substituted yogurt and it worked, but you are saying this is for preconditioning.

Also you mentioned on another list that emetabolic.com has recipes and menus. Did you have to sign in as an account to get that, as I don't see any recipes, but did not sign in.

Thanks for sharing this information, as when I gain weight, I go back to the basic menu for weight loss till I get it off.

Thanks
Patzi
