I would like to know if anyone else has experienced hair loss while on MRC. I've noticed an increased amount, but it could be the hot weather too. I would think that a high protein diet would support hair growth, not the other way around. I'm still having problems with fatigue too. The consultants always ask if I feel like I have more energy, and the answer is always no. I'm waiting for that energy!! I have fibromyalgia and should do a little checking into how high protein affects it. I guess that I could have a lot of factors at work here.

I did have some hair loss, but my center had no explanation saying if I was taking their vitamins, etc that I should not have a vitamin or mineral deficiency. This isn't the first time I have had hair loss from dieting - seems like when I lose about 20 pounds I notice more hair loss in my shower. It's back to normal now though.
Very disappointed right now. I ordered the spicy chicken salad from Pei Wei's. Little did I know that the chicken was COVERED in sweet and sour sauce until I got home. The description online said nothing about this, only that it was wok seared. I was starving, so I ate the chicken, wiping off as much of the sauce as I could. I haven't had actual sugar for SO LONG, only to be sabbatoged by a crappy salad
I'm very proud of myself. You ever had one of those days? I haven't been this angry at work in a long time. So much so, I contemplated quitting on the spot. That's happened only once before in almost 17 years here. Instead, I took my frustrations out on the pavement and ran during lunch time. Afterwards, I sooooo wanted to go get a Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwich.
On day two of pre-conditioning. Last night I had a horrible headache that I suspect is from the lowered calories or maybe the lack of sugar...I'm not sure. I'm hoping my body gets used to it soon so the headaches will go away. I can feel one coming on as we speak. :-(
In reference to Jen and bad day at work:
Not funny but another newspaper I was at, our boss would go nuts and since we were outside sales we would get the heck away from her out of the building and meet at either TCBY for ice cream or Applebee's for dessert! At another job I'd power walk on the pier on the river till I cooled down (much healthier). But the ice cream breaks saved us from doing something stupid and getting fired. I do remember getting sugar free or light yogurt . Our boss was so crazy we would walk in the office and ask our coworkers, Cap on or cap off? LOL!
I switched up my weigh-in time from AM to PM and I'm now at 222.5 (down from 236.5) and lost 19.5 inches in two weeks. I'm thrilled!!! I thought with moving my weigh-in times to the evening, I would weigh heavier that first time, but maybe all those lunchtime walkings and my BodyPump class are paying off.
Wow, 17 years is a long time, especially in this day and age. What kind of work do you do?
I work for a chemical company. I am the Quality Coordinator and am responsible for policies, procedures, and making sure everyone follows them. I'm also the "Chemical Hygiene Officier" (OSHA term) for the laboratory which means it's my responsibility to ensure the lab is run in a safe manner (I have a bachelor's degree in Chemistry).
Patzi - Just a couple more pounds to go before I switch back to maintenance. My plateau finally broke so it's super motivating.
I appreciate your post on plateaus, it gives me encouragment. You've been successful, so it has to work. I had such high hopes for quick weight loss, but slow it goes!! I will re-read your words often.

Hi..
This is a great program. I am on maintenance now, but it was not quick. It was slow and steady mostly, but there were plateaus, but I made it. It is the best thing I ever did for myself.. You will get there, just stay focused, on program, and the weight will come off.. This is a great forum. Would not have made it without the support of all these fantastic people.
