I wanted to share something that we received at our center right before Thanksgiving. It's called "What the Thanksgiving cook nibbled" and it talks about how quickly calories can add up when you nibble a bite here and there.

(Take out the spaces or google it from Cooking light magazine)

The treat table at work today is about to drive me crazy! It's right next to the water cooler where I fill up my water a million times a day! I literally have to close my eyes and run by! Hahah

Oh, I TOTALLY understand. I was in a meeting this morning from 8-9:30am. THIS (see attachment) is what was put directly in front of me in the conference room. Every time I tried to push it away, everyone thought I was just passing it around--so it ended up right back in front of me.

I could SMELL the fudge.

Luckily, I was able to sit there and tell myself I couldn't even try a bite of any of it because I did that all day yesterday and went way off-plan because of it. I kept telling myself I have to be 100% on plan today to make up for yesterday. So, I escaped unscathed.

It still royally sucked.

PS
I don't usually take pictures of food I can't have. But I txted the picture to my sister (also on MRC) to let her know what I was facing at that moment. Again, she likened it to SAW or some other horror movie, but for fat chicks.

The true test will be this weekend, when I attempt to make a plate exactly like that and not eat any of it! I already made the fudge and only tried a centimeter to make sure it wasn't grainy. It's been on the counter sitting patiently since.

It's my first baking year, and my first MRC year, so we will see how the two mix on Saturday when I weigh in.

Oh my gosh, congratulations! You are an inspiration to me. I read all the posts on here and just can't wait until I can possibly be a success story too. Only in my second week and already down 7 lbs.

I lose another 1.5 today! 29 total lost! I was hoping to be at 30 before I left for my cruise (tomorrow) but I'm still so proud of my hard work. I am going to try to be good on the cruise...I don't want to spend weeks re-doing this.

See you ladies in a week! If I can be good on a cruise ship loaded with good food, you can be good at home! Let's have a great week!
Unless you get stuck somewhere and can only eat SPAM! Just kidding, have fun and enjoy your hard work!

Hello..
I weighed in today and stayed the same.. I told the Center I cannot do the Meta Quick anymore. This time, they had me try the shakes and do the shakes and the bars, and I became so ill. I had diarrhea for two daysafter starting and it was from the aspartine in the shakes. I have been able to take the bars in the past with some slight discomfort, but I only do that when traveling. They wanted me to do the Meta Quick for a week, and that is not going to happen. They keep insisting I am not losing enough weight a week. Last week I lost 2.3 pounds, the most I have lost in a week since I started in Sept and I was very happy with that.

The first time I had done the meta quick, it was with bars only. I told the center, I want to keep on my g reen menu, and stay there, and if I only lose a small amount of weight each week, so be it, as long as it comes off and does not go up.If I do not meet goal, then I will buy some weeks .. I am 10
pounds from goal.

Today is a new day and hopefully when I weigh in Tuesday, I will have some loss. I can't tell you how great it is to just eat real food vs. bars and shakes for two meals a day. My f riend went on this and did well, but each person is different. She did have headaches while on the bars and shakes for two meals.

I just wanted to share this experience in event anyone confronts the same problem I have had with it. Many do not.

Hope y'all have a wonderful evening.

Good Morning all. It is snowy and cold here in Omaha and I'm trying to stay warm and drink my ice cold water. I weighed in yesterday in and I've lost 5lbs in the first week. I was happy with that. I hope that all of you have a blessed day.

Ugh. Gained back 2 of the 3lbs I lost this week. It's my own fault, from eating so many off-plan carbs on Tuesday and Thursday, so it makes me a little irritated with myself.

On the plus side, my consultant also pointed out that since I wasn't able to get my usual water intake (my stomach was still kind of wonky after being sick last weekend--which may be part of why I wanted to eat carbs more than anything this week) that may have attributed to the gain. Less water + more salty food = more water retention than actual weight gain this week.

I'm upping my water intake and staying strictly on plan this weekend, in the hopes to get those 2 lbs back off. Then it's just 4 more lbs to get to 40! What a great birthday gift to myself! (my bday is Jan 1)

Had to run in to work for a couple hours today and the weather worsened, so I stopped by the store to stock up (only 11 degrees for the high tomorrow--eek!) on my way home.

Aaaand grocery shopping was a nightmare. Besides all the people clogging the aisles, the store had all their seasonal goodies out in full force. Even in the produce section!

I ended up forgetting a few things I needed, because I practically ran through the store with my eyes closed to avoid looking at the goodies.

On the plus side, it was the perfect evening for MRC Texas Chili--and it was really yummy!

Hope everyone is staying warm this weekend! We midwesterners are getting pounded with cold and winds right now.

Hello everyone! I am new to the forum and to MRC. Last week was pre-conditioning and I started my menu today. I am on the Meta-Slim program. It doesn't seem to be too bad. I joined at a bad time apparently, because I found out on Friday that I have walking pneumonia so I decided to wait on the MRC-6 and Chroma-Trim supplements until I get done with all the rest of my meds. I just can't see trying to put ONE MORE pill in my body on top of everything else the doc has me on at the moment.

I have been reading your stories and I really hope I can be a success story some day just like the rest of you.

[QUOTE=MEEZOOGIRL;3592073]Hello Ladies... It's been forever since I've been on.. well on here and on program. I fell off the wagon in September and it rolled back and ran me over. I just went back today to resign and start again. I am up about 10 lbs.. It comes back so easy.. Good news is that my inches are down all over... Not sure how that happened, but I'll take it.

I'm in the same boat.. ugh... I fell off the wagon and am having a really hard time getting back on it. The weight I lost (abt 30lbs) sure feels good and smaller clothes do to, you'd think it would help motivate me to do more.... maybe it just seems like I have so far to go... sigh... oh well.. let's start again today, every day is a new day! (thank goodness!)

Good luck to all!!
Dawn

Welcome Heather!
I am also in Savannah. I like the center and I think that they run some good specials. I've lost over 50 pounds there and I am now trying to maintain. You can do it!
