Ronnie ... I LOVE cheese curds!

Here we can only get cheese curds at the Tillamook Dairy because they don't sell them in stores so I make a lot of trips to the Oregon Coast to get them.. They call them squeaky cheese.. I love them!

Cheers!

Default uuuggghhh Vacation!

I have been on vacation for the last week.. It's been tough.. I was visiting a friend.. Think Martha Stewart... she loves to feed people. It was really hard.. I did go off plan quite a bit.. Had a good time, but kicking myself for it now.. I'm always doing that.. I get in the moment, and I can't say no.. then after I get mad because I didn't say no. Not much I can do about it now.. Going to the grocery store tonight.. (absolutley NO food in my house) and getting back on the program tomorrow.. Good news is my scale said I stayed the same.. but I don't trust it..

Time to get back to it... I'm with you guys on being tired of the 50's.. I got there and just got stuck..

I think the 50s are an intimidating benchmark. No idea why, but its interesting that at least 3 of us have stalled out there. I'm hoping *crosses fingers* to break through it tonight. I'd have to lose 4lbs, but thats not unheard of for me. If I don't, I'll get it next week. Hang in there Meezoo...you'll recover. I'm going to visit my Martha Stewart friend in a couple weeks and while she's trying to lose weight too...we're used to sitting around and eating together. We'll see if I can be a good influence rather than allowing us to stumble together.

Tonight I have a major challenge: We are having 4 familys over for a pizza party. (of course this was scheduled prior to my joining MRC) I am making a big salad and was thinking that I would have that and no pizza. I am sure no one will even notice what I am eating so that isn't an issue..... but pizza sure is a weakness of mine. I am glad that I just started as my motivation is sky high and will help me through. Any tips out there???
I stayed away from pizza all together because I know it's a weakness. I actually threatened to harm anyone who dared to bring it around me. LOL There is a MRC pizza recipe in the book or on the thread (I think there is even more than one). You could trying making a pizza you could eat and others may enjoy trying it too.

I was so excited about my MRC cheeseballs I had my husband try them last night and he loved them.

Hello everyone. I posted yesterday about just getting started. I am in preconditioning right now and have not yet gone to a WI. I just wanted to introduce myself and say that I am enjoying reading this thread so far.

WELCOME Wendy and Junie04! This is a great, supportive forum. If you have any questions, I guarantee you someone will have the answer for ya! Congrats on your decision to take back your life.

@Nabeel - ouch....what's your plan to get back on track? Seriously got to flush the carbs and feel the pain of getting them back out of your system. You're strong! Do it!

Best,

Hi Junie! Welcome! This board has been really great for support. There's a fountain of knowledge about MRC on here. It's been wonderful!

my plan to get back on track is take it a meal per day. I was pretty good today. Tomorrow is another day . Atleast i am cooking my meals currently for the rest of the week!

Next week around this time i want that 60 lbs rock.

Discouraged. Thats all...just one word...discouraged. I went to WI, expecting a loss...nope, up a half pound. UGH! So hard to have a decent week and see no loss. I know what happened...I know how to fix it, but I was hoping i didn't do enough to gain, but oh well. Stuck in the 50s for another week.

I've done my venting...and I'm done being sad. Chin up...it's a new week and I'm gonna kill it this week. I expect a big loss. This is water weight this week (salt not carbs were my downfall) and it'll slide right back off, plus some!!

Hey, its OK. You KNOW your body better then anyone else, so if you say its gonna happen next week, it IS gonna happen. I know what you mean though. I've had those weeks, i'd be good and i'd be up 1 lb or down maybe 0.5 Its ok. Take that momentum and carry it over to next week. How about we both do it together and lift the curse of the fifties once and for all next Wednesday? ( if you dont get it Saturday, because that can happen for you this week too).

Thanks for posting this GWE! This really puts into words how each an every meal/bite is an important decision that gets you closer or further from your goal.
I'm going to print this and post this where I can see it every day.
Thanks again!
