I like the results the program produces. I like the accountability of the center and I don't really mind most of the food choices. I am still getting used to having to pass up pizza at friends' house (last night) or sushi and candy for that matter. That is how I got in the shape I am in though so I think I am down 5 pounds this week. I will WI tomorrow or Tuesday. This time around I am really trying to concentrate on the food combos I like and think I can stick with after I lose the weight. That will be the key for me.

You are doing so well. I am so proud for you. Keep up the good work and let's keep in touch frequently!

My center isn't good about remembering to do measurements. I have to ask for them. We did one at 1 month (I lost 17 inches) and then I just had them do my second one Saturday (4 months later) and I'm down a total of 51.75 inches! That was fun!

I wasn't really sure where to post this and I don't want to steal anyone's thunder.

I don't go to a center - they are too far away. I am working with a counselor via phone and email though. I am left to weigh and measure myself though.

Start date - Jan. 18

As of tonight, I have lost 21 pounds and 20 1/2 inches.

I'm super happy and being able to read how everyone else is doing really helps me stay OP.

bunny - you should do your own ribbons. i put mine on my fridge...like a lot of other do on this site...just as a reminder of how far i have come. it really does help btw....when is your goal date?
I really dont have a "goal date" I think maybe i do need to sit down and makes some small and long term goals i feel like im not doing so well lately.. i loose motivation so easily I do know that when i signed up she said I should be down to 220 by July 11th. So thats about 78 lbs in 24 weeks.. Im not so sure if i can do that though.. its been like 4 weeks and im down 16lbs.. which i guess if i add it up thats about right..so maybe i just need to be more positive!

Diet pills are horrible!! I will never go that route again...no matter what!

So, are you liking the program? Are you happy so far?

You are off to a sensational start! Congrats. It is so great to realize you have a means to eat and stay in control. Very exciting!

Thanks Joy for the nice comment!! Positve reinforcement helps me stick to it!

Bunny - You can totally make your July goal. My goal date is July 30 to lose 76 lbs. I think we can both do it. You are doing great...it is just hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel when you are starting something like this. I sometimes think...am I really going to do this...then I think, how good I have done by just changing my bad habits and how much better I feel...so to me, that is totally worth it. We can do this together...I promise

You are doing awesome! Don't get down on yourself. Remember your body had to take some time to get used to all of the changes. Are you exercising? I go to Curves 3-4 times per week and in 6 weeks have lost 21 pounds. That's with a couple weeks of actually gaining weight while staying 100% OP. You will definitely hit 220 by July. I will do my best to be there with you!

Kim- Thanks so much for the encouragement!! Sometimes I feel like I have SO far to go that its just impossible but I keep meeting people that have done things so I try not to give up…but to be honest lately ive had the worst meals..i keep trying new veggies but I hate them LOL They said no canned veggies..but I found some green beans that have NO salt and no preservatives so I think im going to try that for a lil while….till I get more focused again.. I don’t think that would hurt me that much….i cant wait to be your size!! I would be so excited!! 

Megsmom- Thanks! As far as exercise…I haven’t done A LOT lately..before my nephew and sister moved in with me I used my elliptical but then my knee was hurting so I stopped and my exercising fell apart LOL…But I will say after work im ALWAYS on my feet running around..i think the arm curls and leg curls I do with the baby should count haha he weighs a ton!! My fiancé and I are doing a short 1 mile walk to our Arts market this weekend..so that should be fun..we do a lot of outside things..i just havent been very strict on regular exercise. Oh also I started walking the stairs at work…I work on the 3rd floor. I really only started that b/c my best friend is moving up to a 3rd floor apartment and I have to help her move and don’t want to DIE trying to carry a box up stairs LOL I told her we need an assembly line haha.. I did curves for a few months but I got bored quick..I wish I had had friends to go with me but no one I know wanted to do it…..i would like to find a local yoga class when money isn’t so tight..i really miss yoga at the YMCA.

Bunny, It sounds like you are on the right track. Just FYI - I do the canned green beans with no salt all the time. Aside from the microwave broccoli steamers they are my quick and easy stand by veggie. Pretty plain and boring, but get the job done. I have been pretty consistent with 3 lb weekly losses. The stairs are a GREAT start to your daily exercise and even a short evening walk as the weather warms up. Baby steps - all about improvement! Go Girl!!

Bunny, I do a ton of frozen broccoli, cauliflower and green beans. I also do a ton of fresh zucchini and yellow squash. With the frozen stuff, it's roughly $1-2 in the store and takes 5 minutes to cook on the stove. The zucchini and squash, I pan fry with just a little bit of cooking spray. That way I get a bunch of variety with veggies. Once or twice a week I will make a salad with lettuce, bell pepper, cucumber and tomato, then add some salad spritzer.

You and I are at about the same weight, so we can do this together. I'm with you sister!

Bunny - You will get through this!! You have a great outlook about it I am with you on the veggie thing. I love green beans...but not the frozen kind, yuck!! I am going to start using the canned ones again, and if it doesn't make a difference then I am good to go. I also use the steamers...I found some yummy Garlic Seasoned Cauliflower in the frozen section. It really good...and it doesn't have any more sodium than the other frozen veggies.

You are on the right track! Just keep positive

I tried broccoli the other day for the first time! (well cooked, ive had it raw before) and it was pretty good..i only liked the top parts but it was something that was OK..Im super excited u use the canned green beans with success! When i talked to my center about liking canned veggies they sorta turned their noses up to me but thats what i like..oh well. I cant wait for the weather to be just a lil warmer..my nephew (hes 8months) loves to be outside…so it will be nice to walk around with him…of course im in florida so it will only stay nice for a few weeks then be so hot you cant breath LOL but im ready for it after all of this cold!!

That is true for me - I've lost 16 lbs and 15 inches. One of the weirdest things is that I've lost a 1/2 inch in my ankle - go figure!

The ankle thing is weird and I did the same thing....lol

So the no salt canned green beans seem to be ok? I am also not a fan of fresh or frozen green beans. Too crunch and don't taste the same as canned. Well I may have to treat myself to canned green beans this week!!!
