Jennifer you look great!!!

I had to do some shopping today - YES I HAD to, I literally have nothing to wear to work that doesn't look terribly sloppy, happily I even had to purchase new under garments due to no more hooks. Funny how odd it feels to grab smaller sizes and have them fit :D

Congratulations on the smaller sizes - I can't wait to get to purchase smaller sizes -especially under garments! (as strange as it sounds, my true wake up call that I needed to get serious about loosing weight is when my bras got tight. LOL)

Too much B6?

Is it possible to take too much B6?

Here's my situation -
I take a multi vitamin that I really like that has all the B vitamins (including B6) - 500-600% of daily value

Today at food instruction I told them that I already take all the B vitamins - they told me not to take more. Then, they sold me MRC6 and All Day Weight Loss. The MRC 6 has B6 in it, and the bedtime formula from All Day Weight Loss does too.:p

Of course, I didn't realize this until I got home and now I can't return the products I've bought.

Is B6 one of the vitamins that just passes right through if you take more than your body can process? I know some vitamins do and some don't...just not sure about this one.

Appreciate any advice.:?:

Hi everyone, I have been absent for a while, been super busy with back to school, and my work load has gotten a bit heavier.
I don't have time to catch up on all the threads I missed. I have been steadily truckin' along on maintenance...I have to add to my photo collage of before and afters, as I have made it to 159! Even on maintenance I lose a little here and there, but I have taken up some new exercising, and also have added yoga and pilates.

You could add any sugar-free flavor or extract you like. Mint? Coffee would make it like a mocha (I love mixing my Creamy Hot Cocoa HNS with coffee). Raspberry or caramel sugar-free syrup would be good too. Adding a little cinnamon or cinnamon extract would be like Mexican chocolate. And good ol' vanilla extract makes most anything taste better.

Hi everyone! First of all, congratulations on everyone’s weight loss. Hearing all this is so inspiring. I’ve been wanting to get started on the program for what seems like a long time but I did FINALLY get to go to my food class today and officially start on my program tomorrow. I’m encouraged as I’ve already lost 3 lbs on pre-conditioning.

DK - I'm with you on the clothing, I really think it helps with the modivation too. At least for me, I found that once I had some better fitting clothes I wanted to keep up the good work. Looking cute beat out eating c**p. I do need to break down and go shopping for foundations hehe!:o

Jennifer you look outstanding congrats!!!

GradSchool congrats on being so close to goal!! You can do it!:cheer2:

SchoonCR - upon looking at my contract I apparently paid for 16 weeks...same price everyone is quoting for 17 but only 16:?:

Diana - you go girl!! :carrot:

Personal note - down another 2.5 today for a total of 28lbs...30lbs here I come :) I totally believe in the paper towel effect now. While the weight is starting to slow down it seems so much more noticible to me. Its been kind of fun taking in the reactions from the parents at school...the all comment on the hair or clothes and then before long pull me aside to ask if I'm losing weight and how am I do it!

Hey, water weight is nothing to sneeze at - it's no fun walking around bloated! Congrats!

Rdy2Lose - congrats you are off to a great start!

At this point, I think I will stick with the green menu as long as I can and plan on the November stabilization.
We're going on vacation towards the end of September and while I plan to make smart choices, it will be impossible to stay totally OP so I will probably need that extra time! ;)

I went to my stabilization class/party the day after we got home from being on vacation for a week. I was terrified! I'd eaten well when we were in our condo, but when we went out I ate what I wanted. Drank my HNS, took my pills, drank my water and did a LOT of walking. (We were at the beach.) I was so afraid I'd be up & not able to stabilize, but I was okay.

Of course I started stabilization in October, so went through Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Not to mention a death in my family. Looking back I'm amazed I made it to maintenance by New Year's! But clearly it took longer than 6 weeks!

All that to say - don't despair!!!

I substituted one cup of decaf coffee for one of the cups of water, added a little sugar free caramel syrup (in the coffee aisle), then blended it with a little ice. OMG! It was like a Starbuck's mocha with a shot of caramel. I am hooked! These shakes can be used outside of MetaQuick, right?:D

thelish 08-22-2008 08:34 PM

shenanigan - that sounds amazing...starbucks is something I miss :)
