Thursday
OMG...you people are chatty. Gone for a few days and it takes me my whole lunch time to catch up! There is no way I can comment to everyone I'd like to, so I'm just highlighting a few.
Newbies: Welcome to all of you. I feel like I've been on this forum forever (since March), but it has really been a life (and diet!) saver. This program does work and the people on this board are a great support system. :high: Rocki: You look super :flame: and must have had a great time for your birthday. My DH and I visited NY last year in June and walked for miles and miles. Hopefully, that will counteract any off plan eating. SchoonCR: Your suggestion for the inappropriate comments made me laugh. I had someone (an RN) come up to me at a community event and ask me if I'd been sick or was I intentionally trying to lose weight. I kinda pulled her aside, dropped my voice and said, "Didn't you hear?" Then got the look of death from my DH, so I told her about MRC. Dang! I could almost see the headline in our local paper the next day, Foundation President Seriously Ill, if I would have been allowed to continue. :joker: I love all the NSVs. Keep 'em coming! Had my final pre-stabilization WI and measure on Tuesday. Was only down .5 lb. but had lost more inches, for a total of 50. (I'm only 62 inches tall!!!) I'm still 2 lbs short of the 40 lb board, but know I will hit it eventually. My stabilization class is this Saturday...however, I'm staying on the green menu until after Labor Day as I've got a ton of meetings and events to attend this week and next. I don't dare give up that bit of controlled security with all the temptations. :burger: :chockiss: :corn: :stir: :mcd: :hungry: Judy Gma to 4 |
Went for weigh in today and was down a pound and a half....Yea!!!! Am a bit concerned today though - Im really craving some different foods, and I was a binge eater. I keep going in the kitchen and just looking!!!! Told hubby tonight that I maybe should plan a cheat so I dont binge!!! Gosh I dont want to mess this up :(

Hi everyone. This board is such a great source of info and inspiration. I love seeing how successful others have been on this diet.
I've been doing preconditioning for 2 weeks now, and go to my first food instruction class tomorrow morning. Just wondering if you guys can tell me what to expect, or if you have any pointers for the class. I've seen a lot on this board about start up specials for HNS and supplements. Will they offer me those tomorrow? How hard is the first menu (I'm on a 17 week plan)? I'm not too worried about breakfast or lunch, but at dinner I have to be able to feed 2 kids (2 and 6) and a husband. I'd prefer not to fix them something too different from what I'm eating. I'm excited, but also a little worried, about starting on the actual diet. |
Made it through the first day of Metaquick. It was better than I thought! Those shakes are HUG and really filed me up! I forgot to take my herbs at dinner-oops. But I am proud of myself. What happens when we forge those anyway? Are we supposed to just skip them or take them when we remember? I am going to WI again tomorrow to get my 2 WI this week. we'll see if I can get a good reading.
bfatnomore Thanks for the tip on getting the lumps out! I had a terrible problem with that today with my breakfast and lunch meal replacements. |
I have to apologize for my terrible typing! I think I make a mistake EACH time. SORRY! I meant to say that my shakes were HUGE, not HUG. :):dizzy:

So I am on day 2 of the first menu. Doing pretty good :). Hard to eat every four hours though. But I really haven't wanted to cheat. We had carrot cake today at work (my favorite) and I sat right next to it and ate my salad for lunch. For me, that is dedication lol.

I'm back!!
Hey Everyone! I'm back. Slower this time (lol) due to the back surgery, but I'm walking and started back to work 1/2 days for this week and next week, and then I'll go back full time. Doing Physical Therapy twice a week, so that is good. Have eaten HORRIBLY since all of this happened. Scared to even get on the scale, but I will tell you, I DO NOT feel as good as I did when I was doing MRC. I know my body's been through a lot lately, but I feel extra sluggish from all the junk I've put in there. I'm heading back to the center on Weds.- that is when they come to town and I'm looking forward to getting back on the right path. Glad ya'll are still here!! Looking foward to "talking" to ya'll again!!!

After reading about the key ingredients in MRC-6, I think you want to be sure to take those with meals/food, because of Bromelain (metabolism/breakdown of fat/proteins in foods) and Lecithin, which does a similar thing. Flax and multi can definitely be taken anytime. Cortitrim has bitter orange peel, which is an ephedra like stimulant, and caffine, so it could make you jittery on an empty stomach. (I stopped taking it a while back, but after 2 days stopped taking it at dinner). IMHO |

I already packed everything for tomorrow so I should be good to go! I am off to bed. That 5:00 alarm sucks! Good luck to everyone tomorrow. I'll check in when I get to school. |
Question: When everyone first signs their contract, how much do the times vary?
I was under the impression everyone signed up for 17 weeks, and if you had more weight to lose, you had to resign. However, I have read people signing on for 24 weeks as well. |
WorkingARMom Wow...congrats on the total "4"...it just feels sooo good doesn't it! :)
