I really appreciate the tips for newbees. I started my MRC program today. I lost 3 # doing preconditioning. Shopped and made menus yesterday. Bought some of their vitamin/supp. and some at Walgreens. Pray for me...for us all.

Thanks everyone for sharing your successes, struggles and encouragement. Shelley |
Hey everyone. Just wanted to see how many are at the Highlands Ranch location. I started yellow today and am really excited about everything! Hope to meet up with some of you soon!

I know this is simple but my aboslute favorite thing for my starch is a piece of bread with icbinb, a packet of splenda, and some cinnamon and pop it in the toaster oven. Really satisfies my sweet tooth... its like a yummy little dessert. :)

Sounds yummy. I will definately keep that in mind. They had a cooking class at Lincoln Ne MRC put on by a mamber who has lost #110!.. Great ideas and recipes. I appreciate all the classes we can attend for free. Have a great day!

Weigh foods
I have found for myself after 9 days of pre-comdition and now day 7 of meal it works for me to cut up and weigh all my veggies in 2 oz. packages and then just grab a sack in the am as I head out the door to work - lunch is all ready to go. I'm excited about loosing some of this extra poundage.. :smug:

Feeling lightheaded
Every day in the mid afternoon - I've noticed I"m feeling a little lighthead. I take my HNS and it goes away. Is anyone else having this happen to them or have had this happen??:(

It happens to me if I wait to long between eating....I normally have to have extra HNS to last me until the kids are ready to eat what ever meal. How long are you waiting between meals.....timing is important. After a meal your body could use more protein (nourishment) in 4 hours by 5 hours it NEEDS it. After a snack you could use more in 1 hour and NEED it in 2. |
Well actually- I eat breakfast (Blue menu) at 7 - 7:30 am, 11:30 to 12 Noon for lunch then dinner when I get home around 5:30 - 7 pm. I notice the light headedness around 10 am then again 2:30 pm - that's the time for my HNS (snack) - after that it goes away.
I asked about it when I went to WI today and asked about it then - and got no comments other than 'keep us informed'. I kind of feel like I need more caffeine - since I stopped drinking caffeinated coffee. I did have a ?good WI -wgt at 155 today from 162! Woo Hoo |
New here today. On day 1 of the yellow menu. Good thing it is only for 4 days. I keep telling myself I can do anything for 2-3 months. Lost 3 lbs on pre-condition. Not really worried about losing it. I have lost on WW, Nutrisystem, watching calories, you name it. My problem is keeping it off. The minute I stop paying attention it all comes right back. I want this to be the last time. I intend to follow through with stabilzation and maintenance. I can't keep doing this every year or so. I just get so depressed when I put it back on and start feeling slow and lethargic and old.

On the rare occasions when I have had something, it's like I'm on speed. I get a little jittery, and I talk my husband's head off, which is not something I do often. We were driving to my parents one night (a few hours away), and I had had a large diet coke to try to stay awake-- he had to tell me to lower my voice several times. :o He was laughing at me the whole time, but I really had no idea how dependent I was on caffeine until I stopped drinking it. |
