Weight Loss Ticker

How do you all get your weight loss ticker on your posts? Is it in the signature thing that you don't get till you've been a member for 20 days?:?:

Just buy some fiber sure at the grocery store, it's pretty much the same thing w/o the flavor

Thanks! I'll look for it tomorrow when I purchase some low cal bread....I have melba toast already so I'll use that for my bread in the a.m. This should be fun....I can survive for 4 days, though. I'm sure of that.

I thought about you, Mountain Gal, and how you're in the same boat with me....eating oranges and cheese for the next 4 days! LOL! I'm nervous but I feel better about it today than I did yesterday (I was afraid of the unknown).
My nutrition "class" was more like an informal mtg w/one of the ladies that work there. She gave me some handouts and breezed through them! I left without a calendar, without the liquid minerals and without the fiber fill drinks! Everything happened so fast.....they were also out of EVERYTHING...only had 2 choices for liquid HNS's and 1 choice (pink lemonade) for the powders! She told me they didn't get their shipment for this week and they're expecting it by Monday. So, I paid up front for some orange and grape liquid HNS. I think I'll pick them up Monday or Tues. I got a box of the kiwi melon and the pink lemonade powder. I'm nervous about getting through these next 4 days w/out any fiber drinks! Don't know why I'm so freaked out about it! LOL! If you read the board before you go shopping see if your grocery store has D'Italiano light bread. It has been the best bread I have found so far. I mentioned it earlier on one of these threads but I don't know if you saw it. I think maybe we should start a thread with recommended products/brands.

This may be a crazy question, but I have to know.... What is the reason for all the different menus. I started with the Pre-Conditioning menu, just finished up the yellow menu, and am now on the blue menu. Why all the menus?

alisanchez18 08-30-2009 01:36 PM

i was wondering about that too

Girl! You are soooooo prepared! LOL! I'm so proud of you! Tonight, I'm going to get all of my 8 oz salads ready for the next 3 days. I just ate lunch an hour ago and I was SHOCKED at what 8 oz of salad looked like! I used cucumber and green onion to add some wt and tonight I'll use some radishes (for some reason at lunch I thought they were not allowed but I checked and they are...yea). So far today, it's been really easy. I haven't been hungry at all. I'm thinking that I might be more hungry the days I work my 12 hrs but I'm just taking it easy today. I like both of the HNS's I got....thankfully, since that's all they had. The kiwi melon (concentrate) tastes like an green apple jolly rancher! The pink lemonade (powder) was great, too. I was pleasantly surprised!

Mountain gal, we're gonna rock it! Can't wait to hear how Monday goes for you!

Thanks, E4FEwife! I'll see if Kroger has that kind. What grocery store did you find it at?? So far, the melba is ok (I used to eat that prior to MRC anyhow, so I'm good with it). I'm sure in a couple days I'll want variety, though (which we don't get a lot of on the yellow menu).

Oh, and to all the peeps who asked about the different menus, I haven't seen the others (all I have right now is the yellow) but maybe the calorie count is different (I say that b/c I know when I get to the blue in a few days, I can add some different fruits, etc). Good luck to us all! :)

I cannot get my profile pic to upload..................I know how to do it, I'm just wondering if it is too big? Is there a size limit when you are uploading?
Sorry not MRC related but I want my profile to look good like all of you guys!! LOL thanks!

Phat not Fat 08-31-2009 11:34 PM

Wannabthinagain...I just now noticed that we're about an hour apart! How cool is that?

I can't get my pic to upload, either. I've gone through the motions and nothing shows.

It seemed like the time went by fast for me. Once i got in a routine i went along smoothly. Now that I'm close to my goal i'd like to go past it now.
Tabatha is very small(short) light brown hair. Really nice.
You really have to be on a mission to lose the weight and it will happen.
I have had a few plateau's and still pushed on. It has been so worth it
I feel so much better. You have a good start keep going.:)

second day into my yellow menu n not so bad as i thought!(shopgirl: 2 more days 2 go 4 us !! yay!!!) im sick of cabbages n cucumber already n for the first time in my life im craving carrots LOL! the things life makes u realize :P the HNS does keep me pretty full but i was wondering .. my counselor told me that although 2 is the minimum, the more i drink the more I benefit.. now i cant help wondering if its a sales tactic or is it really true? ( I mean apart from keeping hunger at bay how does it help weight loss?? its really sweet & at the end of the day all those calories do add up rite?? also d u guys follow a fixed time 4 dinner ?? most weight loss plans emphasize on dinner before 7 and not later than that .. does it make a difference on this plan if u have late dinners?

I was told that a calorie is a calorie no matter what time you consume it. It really makes no difference how early or how late you eat.. I work a swing shift so my last meal of the day is 10pm and it has never affected my weight loss. I think it is the too many calories anytime that get us in trouble. As far as the HNS, those are to help you from losing muscle. If you don't get enough protein you will lose muscle and that is why we have to drink them. They said at the class I went to that if we start to lose muscle there is something they will put us on to stop it. We are to burn fat not muscle and we need the muscle to burn the fat. So good luck with the weight loss journey..:D

Ronnie
