Thanks for the advice! Haha - I honestly never thought of taking the powder HNS. You are right - I can have fun without eating...too many years, I guess, of tying the food to the fun. Thanks again!
And just think - with the money you'll save on buying alcohol you might be able to take in one of the cool shows!
I hope everyone had a great weekend! This is my 2nd time around with MRC. I started on preconditioning on the 8th of January and went to my food class on the 21st. I started the yellow menu on the 22nd and had my 2nd wi that day, I was down to 188. I went in and had my wi on saturday, after 2 days with the yellow menu and I was down 5 lbs! I have lost 7 lbs since I walked into MRC on the 7th! I started the blue menu today. I have a question about meal replacement shakes and bars. When can I start those? I have a hectic schedule coming up in February, working 2 jobs and not a full day off for 20 days and want to see where I can save myself some time. Thanks and I hope everyone has a good wi this week!

I believe you can start them after the fourth day. But you can only use them 2 times per week.
I am new to MRC also, I have been reading some posts for the last couple days, and I love how inspiring and good you all are...a really good motivational tool to keep me motivated. I started the program the day after christmas and am down 11.5 lbs!!! They started me on the yellow menu, then I ended up skipping the blue menu because it just wasn't enough food for me, I was staving throughout the day..but seem to be getting better now that I have been on the green menu for a couple of weeks. I still get hungry during certain times of the day, it is frustrating and I seem to always want to snack!

Hey floridagirl,
Welcome to the site, there is a lot of helpful information here!
I know that I was complaining about being hungry, in a different post, and I got some great replies. (I think that the biggest list came from KathyH)
Chewing gum and drinking more water seemed to be on everyone's list. I know that I noticed that when I was "hungry" I was really tired.
How many protein drinks are you having during the day? I drink the max. Also the All Day Weight Loss that the sell at the center ($75.00 per month ) has helped me as well. I will be out of the All Day at the end of next week, and I am still trying to find another source for it!
Good luck, you are doing great so far. Let us know if you need any help...

My ALL Day seems to help alot too. I bought more just because I was worried what I would do if i didn't have it!
i've read in another thread about where to find supplements that some people have taken the bottle to their health food stores and found something comparable to what they already had for much cheaper. i don't know if the all day is one they found.
i've had luck online taking the UPC off the boxes of the little white boxed HNS's and searching for them online but i've yet to buy any that way. i THINK it cannot have the same UPC if it's not formulated the same but i'm not positive on that. if that is correct though, then they're line that their HNS are formulated specifically for MRC and no one else is just a sales line. they may have picked that formulation or even had a hand in it but others are buying the same line in order for the manufacaturer to sell enough to keep themselves in business. that's just how wholesale/retail works.

I ordered some concentrates on Diet Direct. They have sugar in them instead of aspartame liket the ones at the center. The calories are the same though. I did not compare the upc codes. But working at a company that sells to retail - you are not forced to change your upc codes. You are supposed to but nobody polices that.

I have only been taking two to three of the supplements per day.....but when I am hungry I usually always try to try to have one of the supplements and that will usually curb my appetite for at least an hour.....I might try the women's all day... i will ask them about it when I go to the center next time!
I weighed in today another pound down...13.5 pounds and only been a month...That is motivating and makes me stick with it...
Thanks for all the inspiration from the ladies on this site.!
i work at a wholesaler/distribution center myself and we're constantly getting change notices. doesn't surprise me that there's no policing on it. still i think you have a better shot getting the same stuff if it's coded the same... something to consider at least.
Just thought of another piece of advice - don't buy too many clothes as you're losing weight, and don't try to do too much buying "out of season". I picked up things because they were so cheap at the end of season sales, thinking "Well, by fall they'll probably be about right". Nope, I went right through those sizes & ended up selling clothes with the sales tags still on them in a garage sale because I guessed wrong.
And don't forget about Goodwill/Salvation Army/consignment shops/thrift stores. I've found some seriously good deals there, even today (which made me think of this!) - and when you're losing weight & sometimes zipping through a size or two pretty quickly, you don't want to invest much in clothes you aren't going to wear for long.
And I might've said this before, but get rid of those old, too big clothes! It's way too easy if you have them in the back of the closet to fall back on to let the weight creep back on. So get rid of them - ALL OF THEM! If you find yourself down to one pair of pants that fits, you're a lot more likely to get your butt back in gear & back on plan!
I started preconditioning on Saturday (2 days ago) and am getting excited about really getting started on this program. I was worried at first about taking all the pills but so far it hasn't been a big deal.
This website is so helpful because it is helping me get my head right to get started. Im like most of you, I've tried lots of programs and nothing seems to work until I get my head in the game. Which has always been my problem.
I look forward to losing this weight along with all of you.
Hi all of you, I have never blogged before and I have been reading all of yours for two weeks now. Today is exactly 14 days since I started MRC. I am down 8 pounds.....to be honest I thought I would be down more but it sure is better then up 8 pounds. I weighed in first thing this AM and nothing since Tuesday.......made me so SAD. Then we did a new Tanita so I am down 3% BF and 4.5"s so I can not complain too much. Did any of you start slow and then all of the sudden WHAM it just took over? I was so excited when I lost 4.5lbs jsut in preconditioning and I guess i just expected it to be like that every week. I am following program to the letter. I haven't cheated once and I have certianly been tempted. I really would love so input from anyone and I thank you all for creating these blogs.

I think some of it has to do with how much over weight you are to start with. I am doing MRC with a friend who is 5'2" and weighed 217 when we started. I am 5"6' and weighed 178 to start. I am losing much slower that she is.. don't give up!! It is awesome to have lost what you have IN JUST 14 DAYS. keep telling yourself that. What menu are you on?
I went for my first food instruction class last night and plan to start the plan after I get my grocery shopping done today. I'll start fresh tomorrow, so far I am staying on preconditioning. My question is...at the class last night, they gave us our menus...there were 9 people in the class and 7 of them got the yellow menu, 1 got a beige menu and I got the green menu. Why did I get a green menu and most everyone else got the yellow? How do they decide that? I'm not complaining I'm just curious...as a matter of fact, the lady teaching the class said I was lucky to have skipped the yellow menu.
