  • Ending Day 3
Yes... made it through Day 3, but for the first time tonight, I'm feeling hungry -- and there's nothing left to eat. I'm thinking I may have shorted myself at lunch today because there are no food scales in my company cafeteria-- and although I ate a HUGE salad, I'm still not sure I hit 8oz + 6oz cottage cheese (which does make a really nice dressing, by the way). I drank an HNS this afternoon, but by the time I ate dinner tonight I was starving. My tuna, brussels sprouts, and piece of bread really didn't fill me up. So now, I'm sitting here punishing a stick of sugarless gum.

What happens after tomorrow? Will we get more to eat or different things?

I am there with you! I have been hungry all day. I know that we can add more food, based on the shopping list that I was given, but I do not know how much, or how often.
I will be going to the center around 1:30 tomorrow! I am kinda nervous about my weight loss.

  • did the hunger not hit till day 3? i am on day 1 of the green menu and felt pretty good today with how much I was able to eat. So far I have not felt hungry. Did day 1 and 2 go okay or were you hungry then too??
  • Yah! We all made it through day 3. I am also hungry but funny it didn't hit until right before dinner. LauraM I don't know what the green menu is, I am on the yellow menu which is slim pickins. The center called me today to check on me and she was encouraging by saying tomorrow when I go in I will recv the next food plan which is nicer than this one. Can't wait. My stomachs growling so I think I will just go to bed! I thinnk it's just a test of will...I will win this time. Good luck all tomorrow with wi.
  • I am on the yellow menu... not the green one.. idk if there even is a green one. I was paying bills when I wrote that message...ya think maybe I was side tracked, LOL????
  • For all the hungry gals--I feel your pain. Are you maxing out the HNS? You can have up to 4 or 5 a day depending on your menu. They really help w/ hunger. The fiber fill drinks are also great for making you feel more full. You can have up to 3 of them per day. Are you taking any appetite suppressant? If not, you might consider trying the All Day Weight Loss if you're still having hunger issues past the first 10 days. It helps a lot and I haven't had any bad side effects from it.

    You were spending the green!

My first day on Yellow was great physically, but not emotionally. Today I have had more energy than I have had in a long time, but I have been hungry - but that could also still be an emotional thing.

I found that drinking water, and chewing sugar-free gum has helped. House work has helped also, but I can only do so much of that before the 3 y.o. dd undoes it.

    Keep us posted!

What are the fiber fill drinks? My center did not tell me about them.

I know that the center has pushed the All Day Weight Loss, I've just been concerned about the cost.

My center didn't tell me about them either--I read about them here You can buy them as part of your 5 for $55 and there are 10 per box. I think Diet Direct has them for a little less. Give them a try--really yummy.

ADWL is pricey. I've been on it since the beginning and I'd have a hard time without it. I have tried cutting back to 1 pill per meal instead of 2 to make it last longer. Works fine at with the breakfast and bedtime dose but I really need 2 at lunch/dinner to get me through those hungry hours.

Others have been able to get by w/out a suppressant...I think KeepingOn only takes the flax and does fine with that. Sometimes I think the "hunger" is psychological with me. I ate a good dinner about 2 hours ago, and have had a fiber drink and creamy HNS since then and I still feel hungry, but I know I can't really be...

Thanks for the advice. I will have to talk to DH about finding some money somewhere.

I totally understand about the psychological.
    Thanks for the help!

  • Day 1 and 2, I was fine--- In fact, I was mostly feeling like I was eating too much.

My solution tonight was a cup of decaf coffee from Starbucks. I grabbed one one my way to my son's basketball practice. Threw in a couple of sweeteners and sprinkled just a bit of cinnamon. It felt decadent and did the trick. I'm taking two ADWL's before bed so my stomach won't growl.....
  • Hi, I am new on here. I have been doing Metabolic since (about a wk before Thanksgiving). I do get discouraged but when I am 100% on program it works. I have lost 14 pds so far on MRC and 7 on my own before I started MRC. I do have a bit of advice for those of you that are having a hard time and hitting plateus. Try eating organic fruits, veggies and meats. That is how I lost my first 7 pds. It seems to help me plus it is so much better for you. You would be shocked at how much better the fruit taste especially the apples. Good Luck to Everyone!!!!
  • Don't make any major decisions!

I feel your confusion. My advise. We should all avoid making big decisions the first couple of days on it. Like...I think I'll get a puppy or I think I'll have another baby! lol
Day 1 and 2 I felt ful and satisfied and actually day 3 wasn't bad until before dinner I started feeling hungry. I ate a nice dinner so I know I wasn't hungry so I just ignored it. I am walking 20 minutes after breakfast and dinner which seems to keep me out of the kitchen. I am also on the All Days. I take them 20 minutes before my meals with a 16oz glass of water. Its seems to really help but I don't know for sure because I have been on them since PreCond. My center recommended them because I am a night time eater which I can say I have not put a morsel in my mouth after 7 PM since starting this. YAH. Oprah started a new series today about being the best you can be. It looks like it is going to be real good. She has info on her site Ophrah.com I think I will check out. Sounds like an Ophray ad, huh?
