Default Okay, so today is Day 4..

....I weighed in tonight--- and Yay! Down 6 pounds!

I've learned the All Days really do make a difference, and they are NOT the same as the MRC6, which breaks up the fat in your system more quickly. I'm going to start taking both. I swear, I feel like all I do is take pills-- but apparently, it's working.

Way to go SlimInside. Great job. I, too weighed in today. Down 31/2 for a total of 61/2!!! Wow. I feel great. I am so glad I finally got off the sofa and started a program. I'm taking the All Days. They are an appetite suppressant that is spread out throughout the day instead of a big dose. Must be working. Keep up the good work. I am taking it in sections. Just have to make it until day 11 for next adventure!

Yeah! Go Girls! I also lost 6 lbs! I bought the All Day when I was at the center yesterday. I am still gagging at the price though. However, it is working, and I read on another thread that it may be possible to deduct this cost on our taxes! That would help, we definitely need to ask our accountant.
Have an awesome day 5!

Way to go. Off to the wild blue yonder, I mean blue menu. It doesn't look too bad. I am glad to get the protein back with lunch. 8 oz of greens for lunch was getting alittle boring. Is cottage cheese completely off our diet for now? Keep up the good work. 6 days on this and then we will all move to day 11 plan!

Default Just enjoying my yummy chicken and brussels sprouts

...and thought I'd say hi. I'm on day 5 and feeling great about how truly good my body feels. Between washing out my innards with all that water, leaving caffeine and sugar behind, and simply knowing that I've found something that I really think will work for me -- I'm feeling the best I have for sometime about my physical future. And now that my body has gotten over the shock of it all, I have energy to spare! Wow. Who knew that what I really needed was fewer choices, more science, and a realistic plan? Oh, and this website of course! I think one of the best quotes I've seen so far was from the gorgeous young woman who lost 200 pounds and said something along these lines later-- "Yes-- it is a **** diet. And you need to call it that --not a "lifestyle change". Simply changing your lifestyle isn't enough create the kind of lasting impact that realizing you CANNOT eat anything you want and expect to have the kind of lasting change that you are really craving.!

Well..enough from me. I hope everyone has a great weigh-in this week! I'll raise a glass of grape HNS to you!

SlimInside, your picture is hillarious. So cute. Is that your cat? She looks like I feel.

Thanks for the tip about Starbucks. Sometimes I feel like I miss out on all the fun life has to offer because my diet is so restricted.

Hello! I am so glad I found this site. I have left the MRC the last two times in tears, and last night I left saying that I was done after only six weeks.

I started out with a bang, losing 12 pounds in the first two weeks, but then my weight plateaued for two weeks, and actually went up 2.5 pounds yesterday! I have done everything exactly the same as I did from day one, so I am beside myself.

I really don't want to give up having already put in such a monetary and emotional investment (i.e. $1000 to date in program and supplements and having salad and water at Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Years). But, you start to wonder why you should continue when you, not only don't see progress, but see a set back.

One other thing...all of the people at the center are very nice, and when I was losing, I got a lot of positive feedback with phone calls and cards. But since I have been stuck and in tears, I have not heard a word from anyone. Doesn't it make sense that they would want to help you out in your down times even more then your ups???

Any advice would be greatly appreciated...I really do want to see myself as a thinner, healthier and happier person.

Hopefully they explained at your center that plateaus are perfectly normal after the first couple of weeks - and can last a couple of weeks. And that stress (like stressing over a plateau) can make you retain water. Check through the paperwork they gave you when you joined - if you don't have the sheet on plateaus go into your center and ask for one.
Here's the important part (quoting from the sheet):
"You see, on the first part of the plan, your rapid weight loss is due partly to water loss as well as fat loss. After 7-10 days, you'll probably stop losing weight. Unfortunately, too many people get discouraged and stop the plan at this point. Yet THIS IS WHERE REAL FAT LOSS OCCURS. Your body begins to retain water to maintain the shape and configuration of its cells as fat is lost. Cells must maintain a certain shape or they may collapse. Now this is important. Water is heavier than fat and so, while your weight may remain stable or even increase, you actually are losing fat. As the water is maintaining the shape of your cells, fat is being lost from the cells. So even though your scales may indicate otherwise, YOU REALLY ARE WINNING THE LOSING BATTLE!"

Unless, of course, you quit now. Plateaus happen over and over, and are unpredictable. But keep at it, it's just about time for that plateau to be over and often we see a BIG drop on the scale after a plateau. More importantly, how are your clothes fitting? How are you feeling physically? The program works, we just have to give it the time it takes to get to our goals. You can do this!

(By the way, this is probably their busiest time at the center - when people are making their New Year's resolutions & coming in to lose those holiday lbs - which, by the way, you avoided! So they might not have quite as much time to make their "touching base" phone calls on all their clients. If you need to talk to them, though, pick up the phone & call them - don't wait for them to call you!)

Meemo, that was very insightful. Thanks for the info. I will need it in a week or 2. I agree we have to keep telling ourselves that we are worthy to be a healthy human beings. We need to rely on ourselves to get through the tough times. It would be so much easier to just give up and say it doesn't work and go back to our old ways. I am following the program 1 day at a time. That way I am not overwhelmed. Sherryanncard, you can do this. Just stay op give it some time. Hope this helps bring a smile and alittle motivation back into your step! We've all been there!

Thanks for the feedback! I did not have the paperwork that you mentioned, so I will ask for it on my next visit. I had my husband hide the scale, too, because I seem to be really stuck on the number. You know they give you a date for your goal weight, and I was thinking that there is no way, at this rate, I will ever make it, but you are right...my clothes do fit better, and I feel better - so YES, I will keep going! Thanks again!

This is not diet related, but I am a little bit of a computer illiterate...how do I get my profile picture to show up when I post, and how do I add the cute little tickers? Thanks!
