Server crash?!? When did that happen? Darn it! I haven't been able to log in for days and was looking forward to seeing how everyone was doing while I was MIA. Darn it again!
Work has been uber crazy and my internet connection here at home has been iffy at best. Everytime I'd try to log onto 3FC, it would go down! Grr!! Anyway, we got a new modem, so I think things are solved and I'll be able to check in more often. Though maybe not till Tuesday after tonight. My parents are coming into town and will be here till Tuesday.
I'm doing okay, definitely better with staying on plan the past week. I think I'm in deeper ketosis...definite sweet ketosis taste in my mouth this evening. I've been using the ketostix and they do show a trace to small amount of ketones, but I haven't tried them yet today. I'm kind of excited to see where I'm at!
Well...I hope everyone is doing okay! I missed you guys!
Yippee!!!! It's Friday night for me!!!! 2morrow I clean and get stuff ready, then the next day take the little one to her dad's. Not real thrilling, but necessary.
Things didn't go so well with plan this week. 2 days I woke up late and had to grab crap at the convenience store for lunch. That sucked!!! But now I'm back OP. Plus, I'll be taking what I need w/ me when I go to the ex's. So I should be OK for 2 days. I'll just pack my bag as if I'm going to work.
Hey, Lili!! Good to hear from you. My strips were usually between light and moderate when I was doing well, so don't worry if you don't go into heavy ketosis. I don't think we're supposed to. Enjoy visiting your parents.
Well, I'll check in w/ everyone 2morrow. Love y'all!!!
I don't know if anyone read my foot saga before the server crash. In essence, my foot has been infected for the last week, most likely due to a spider bite. I've been to the doctor twice and have been ordered not to walk this weekend, which isn't too hard to do since it hurts.
Sigh, if it doesn't improve by tomorrow, I have to get admitted to the hospital. Tomorrow is also weigh-in day, and I know I have not lost a thing. I want that 3 to disappear!
Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. It is humid and hot here, so I guess I'm not missing too much by being inside. Or at least that is what I'm telling myself.
Hope you are all having a great week-end, it's very hot here in Ontario, spending most of my time in the pool, too hot to do much else! Things are going well, have lost 13 lbs so far in less than two weeks! I have to be careful not to let this loss cost me, by being overconfident and rewarding myself with a cheat! Bad habit of mine.
Welcome people I haven't seen before and hello my friends! I too have lost 13 pounds in my first 2 weeks on Medifast and I'm ready for more. Of course I have heard that sometimes week 3 is no movement on the scale - I may need someone to remind me about midweek if I forget and panic!!
I realized yesterday that, since I have lost 27 pounds since February (I was on another diet plan and then decided to start Medifast on Memorial Day weekend), that means I have lost 10% of my body weight! No wonder I feel better.
You have all been in my thoughts this weekend!
Alice, I hope your foot is getting better.
Terry, welcome, good job on the weight loss!!
a new me, welcome, are you in maintenance or still losing more?
Operator, good luck dealing with your ex. That can be smoky, as I well know. I have thought of you during our recent thunder storms in Colorado. Blowing things up! You are very brave, I don't know if I could do the job that you do. You have my admiration...
Lili, so sorry, but there was indeed a server crash and they lost several weeks of our postings but managed to save all the rest... glad to hear from you.
I hope everyone else checks in soon!

Reason: more to say!
Jen-I had read about your foot but have been tired after work this week and barely posting. I can't believe it hasn't gotten better yet. I know hospitals suck when you're the patient, but it sounds like the best thing. Especially if your doctor can't take care of it. I'm surprised the doc let it go this long. Some of those bites can kill off several layers of skin. Of course at work they usually give us worst case scenarios, but still.
Spiders are another reason I can't stand using the condos at work. One year we would have to spray insecticide in then close the door for a minute before we could go in. Hey, if the weight isn't lower you could just say it's all the retention in your foot.
Newme- Let us know a little more about you.
Terry-Glad to hear you're doing well. You're right, food rewards are a very bad idea. But we can dream.
It's still been cool here in Utah. They even had to cancel the rose show this year because it hasn't been warm enough for them to bloom. Mine have finally started.
Mirihawk- I'm going out of town, but I'll try to check on you. I can read the forums on my phone but I can't respond. I've got to figure that out. But I'll keep you in my thoughts.
Don't worry about my ex. We actually get along great now. It's weird, I know, but, he teaches me more about my job than the guys at work do. I really like the type of work I do, I just don't like the co. I work for. Really, as long as you work safely, blasting isn't too dangerous. Just physical, and I love that.
Oh, I saw a place a the swap meet today that could make those shirts for me. I think I'll go online and try to design something.
Well y'all, have a really great week. I've got to get off my butt and get stuff ready to go. Keep hanging tough.
I am new to the site and to the MF plan. Just started a week ago but have not weighed myself yet. So far so good. Not hungry at all and have had no urge to cheat! The most difficult thing for me will be giving up wine and the occasional Martini In the last 15 or so years I have lost and gained the same 35 or so pounds at least 10 times!! I am sure this sounds familiar to some of you. I have been on Weight Watchers, LA Weight Loss, SlimFast, Phen-fen, every diet pill known to man, Atkins, and more recently the Cookie diet. I have been successful at losing weight with each of these but can never manage to keep it off. I have also worked out with personal trainers with much success in the past. I am hoping this will be the last time I "diet" and instead I hope to adopt a healthier lifestyle because I was diagonosed with hypertension earlier this year and am taking medication(atenolol). Any suggestions or advice about the Medifast diet? What is an average weight loss per month that people are experiancing? Thanks!!
Sassy!!! Glad you found us. I lost 18 lbs my 1st month. I've been having some trouble this month, but I can't blame that on Medifast, just my life getting in the way. This week, I'll be taking my youngest DD to her Dad's and hopefully my work schedule will mellow out so I can get back on track.
I really love MF. Check out the Transition and Maintenence Guide. They are downloaded for free on the MF website. I'm probably going with the Mediterreanian Diet after transition, but that's just me.
Good to have you. We have some really great ladies on this site. Keep strong and keep the faith.
Sorry to hear about your tooth Sneeks, hope you're feeling better soon, you should try to have more to eat when you are feeling better.
Welcome Sassy, I too lost 18 lbs my first month on Medifast back in November, but I didn't transition properly and ended up gaining some back, so I have started again, I am two weeks in and have lost 13 Lbs, working out more this time as well.
Have a great day all,
Terry

Hi Sassy! I lost about 10 pounds the first month. It really depends on how much you have to lose and how easy it usually is for you to lose. I usually lose REALLY slowly at first, so I was very excited about my first months loss. I'm hoping my previous weight loss trends will hold true and I'll start losing really fast now. *crosses fingers*
Operator, how's it going? I think I missed some posts last week, so I'm not sure what's going on...but it sounds like you've had a really stressful week. I hope everything is going better now. I'm thinking about you and hoping all's well!!!
Jen, I'm sorry to hear about your foot! Spider bites can be scary things, take care of yourself!
Sneeks, yuck that sucks! I hate the dentist and getting teeth pulled is the worst. Hang in there and I hope you're feeling better soon!
It sounds like everyone kind of had a crappy week last week...at least just from what everyone's posted this week. The server crash sounds too much like what's been happening here at work. I know we had several issues with sites going down for no apparent reason. Nothing where we lost data though, so that's good. But it made for some late nights.
My parents left this morning, so I'm kind of bummed. I can finally get back into my normal routine though. I've missed going to the gym and I've been eating more of a 4-2 than 5-1 because we've had to eat out a lot more often. Cooking for four is a lot harder than cooking for 1-2 since I don't have a kitchen right now. My mom helped a lot with the remodeling though, so hopefully it won't be too much longer before everything's done.
