Missy--I totally understand how you are feeling.. I'm supposed to get my order tomorrow with the plan of starting thid Friday since I am on call and won't be doing much this weekend. But I have started to "clean" out my cabinets (and by clean i mean eat everything) thinking I don't want to just throw it away. But I stepped on the scale for weigh in day and had lost a pound......go figure.

But so far just still waiting.....hope it gets here soon, because I am so excited to get started.

well, I'll let y'all know how it goes later

Nikki, I know, right... go figure. It almost made me think for a minute that maybe Im "the AMAZING Backwards girl", and that all I need to do is eat junk food and be lazy and I will lose weight. All my efforts in eating healthy and exercising has gotten me fat! Ah, funny... Anyways, I just got my box of stuff and am starting tommorrow morning! Here we go! Good luck Nikki. Anticipation is a strange thing...

Ahaha! I did the same thing when I started. I ate out every day for a week! Pizza, Chinese, all-you-can-eat buffets, desert with every meal, donuts for breakfast, cookies & cake between meals...you name it, it went into my mouth! I didn't lose anything, but I didn't gain either. Crazy! And now, just thinking of eating that much makes me sick to my stomach. I saw someone eat five brownies in the span of 15 minutes the other day and got queasy and thought to myself, "How can she eat so much?" When just a few months ago, that would have been me gobbling them up. I don't know if it's the same for everybody, but you might want to prepare yourself for a change in the way you think about food!

Yeah, some of us had to get it out of our systems.... the thing is to not "beat yourself up" about it. Just walk through it, acknowledge it, even blog about it if you need to, and get ready for your new life! You can do it!!

Yes Missy, I went a little emoticon crazy to begin with too. Still do. I had abit of a fear of online chatting and such b/c I'm so sarcastic. I like to be able to see faces so I can tell if I upset someone. Atleast with emoticons, I can show when I'm just being a snot. And these are more fun than the sideways keystrokes.

Glad your order came in. I went nuts waiting. I'ld even call the girls a couple of times a day from work to check on it.

So Lili, how's it going? Have you decided yet about whether or not to continue? I understand the decision struggle, especially with someone else is living with you. Looking at some of the posts on the MF Board it seems a few people have transitioned before actually hitting goal and have still lost the extra weight.

Nikki-Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Is it here yet? Let us know when it comes.

Hi, Mirihawk!!! How's yous doing?

Well, I made it through another graveyard rotation. I've not been feeling real well the past couple of days. This time I think it has little to do with MF and everything to do with grave shift and heat. It's been about 95 to 100 here all week and I don't do heat well. When it's cold you can always put on another layer, but there is only so nekkid you can get.

Everyone at work was PMSing. Yeah, 5 women vs. 100 men, and the whole damned place was PMSing. Then everything went to s**t our last night. Lightening took out 4 shovels and computer communications(which are crap to begin with), my windshield wipers went out and we had a truck fire. Everyone damned near ran over each other trying to get out at the end of the shift.

Oh well. Life goes on, I guess. Keep up the Faith chicklets!!! We can make it.

Hey Operator! on surviving the grave shift! And the lightning! Scary!! I'm going to stick it out another month. Or try at least. I'm just getting a bit discouraged with the near 0 weight loss that feels like it's happening every other week. (Why can't it just come off steadily??? I'd be okay with a steady 1-2 lb a week! Not 2.5 lbs one week and barely 0.5 lbs the next. So frustrating...) And I'm getting really sick of the food. It's too hot for soups or to bake anything, so I've been having mostly shakes, an occasional pudding, and my daily bar. Bleh! It gets boring after a few weeks of that. That and I've been starving. I haven't cheated at all (well until the past two days) and have been staying within the recommended 45 minutes of exercise when I actually get my sluggish rear end motivated to do it, but I'm out of ketosis somehow and feeling like crappola. I'm thinking of making an appointment with the doctor to see what's up with me. I would think TOM was around the corner if I didn't know better. Anyway, I'm just feeling discouraged and gloomy...and whiny if you couldn't tell.

Missy-I'm a miner. Open pit-not underground. Won't do it, no way, no how, especially not in UT. It usually isn't too stressful outside of the rotating shifts. Just last night went kinda wacko.

Lili-Definately understand about the hot stuff. As I said, I don't do heat well. That's part of why I'm loving the foreman, and I've started doing my cooking at night. I'm even thinking about getting some spotlights so I can do work in my yard at night. Sorry about the discouragement.

Nikki-Keeping my fingers crossed for you.

Hi group,

I am curious if anyone else finds themselves hungry before 2-3 hours. I've noticed lately that my stomach starts growling at about an hour and a half and I have to push myself to go the extra 30 minutes, and yes, I am drinking a ton of water.

Hey Jen, yeah I'm getting hungry earlier too. It's about an hour after I eat that I start wanting my next meal. I'm drinking all my water too. I have no idea what the deal is.

Lili,

When did that start for you? I noticed about 2 months ago that I started getting hungrier before my 2 hours. I ended up going off of plan back then but I was ok with it since I was then and still am so close to my first goal of 145. I am getting curious about what is going on though. In the beginning I couldn't possibly eat all my MF meals now I feel like I am not eating enough or maybe I should say not eating as frequently as my body needs since my stomach is growling within an hour and a half. I know that I need to figure it out though, because I don't want to blow it once I reach my final goal.

Hey LiLi, Keep at it! (When I started walking I expected to see some results for all my hard work, but no... 2 whole months passed and nothin! I gained weight and lost no inches! I never did figure out a reasonable explination for it but, I just kept on going knowing it was good for me.) Sounds so nice right. ARRRRRRRG. I hated it! I was frustrated and discouraged! I would just have to reconize it and then basicly ignore it so it wouldnt bring me down anymore. I feel ya. Keep at it. Youll figure it out.
Operator, WOW. What a job! Im super impressed. Seems pretty physicaly brutal. Hows the stress... really do I need to ask?
Nikki, did it come yet? Did you get it yet? Did it? Did it? Is it here yet?
Well I just finished my 1rst day, So far all the food seems pretty good. The smoothies are actually very tasty. Berry, Chocolate, and Strawberry so far, and pudding and Chicken marinara (alittle rubbery or someting just not chiken)
Be good chicklettes!

I have been super hungry between meals as well. I have attributed it to being home and not keeping as busy as when I am in school. Too much down time results in eating more, I have found. That is one of the issues I have to deal with, unfortunately...mindless or boredom eating. I need a hobby but I can't afford the hobbies I want to pursue.

Just spent 3 days in the NH White Mountains. I love it there. Got LOTS of walking in and didn't do too badly eating wise. Thursdays are my official weigh in and while I lost 2 lbs on my friend's scale, I will wait until tomorrow morning to see if my scale agrees with that weight before changing my tracker.

Congrats to everyone doing well! Have a good night!

YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It finally came. I never thought it would get here. So I am very excited to get started tomorrow.

Missy glad your first day went well, and that you think the food is tasty. That's my number 1 fear. BUt I havedrank shakes before, so I should be ok. Plus the soups don't look that bad either.

Well, I'll let everyone know how it goes htis weekend....wish me luck
