Hey Jen-I just found a recipe for Broccoli Quiche I'm going to try when I'm off in 3 nights. I might try it with the MF eggs after I do it with egg substitute. I'll let you know how it goes. And how's the foot doing?

back M23M. Glad to see you're back. Let's go girl!!!

Miri-Glad to have you on the Earth's Face!!! It seems crazy to some men that we are grateful when TOM finally comes. If they only knew.

Gator-Maybe you can keep a couple of packets in your purse, backpack or car for times like those. Good to hear about the 5 lbs. Feels good don't it.

Nikki- We'll be here for support when you need it and for BSing when you don't. I LOVE that I don't have to track jack s**t. I just pull 5 packets out of the cupboard at the start of the day and away I go. I prep my L&G on my days off, which really helps with 12.5 hr shifts. And I know hospital life can be ****, so good luck and keep in touch w/ how it's going.

Well, I just got off work and I smell funky. Time to SSS then hit the bed. Keep strong Y'all!!!

I love quiche, Operator. Please do share the recipe.

I was at the grocery store today and was overloaded with flax choices. First, there were about 10 different types of flax OIL. I was thinking it would be better than the seeds because I wouldn't have to ground the flax before using it, but I didn't know if the benefits were the same. Additionally, there were 3 different types of flax seed and 1 bag of flax meal. I was so overwhelmed, I left without buying anything. Guess I'll look into it a bit more before attempting that purchase again.

I need to get back into the swing of dieting. The last week of school was so stressful that I wasn't following my plan. I would start off great and then get suckered into "thank you for teaching us" cupcakes and "let's go out for dinner to relax" situations. I've been maintaining my loss...I just need to get back OP. On the positive side, I've been walking daily.

I hope everyone is well.

Hey all! Well, my plateau broke finally! I lost 2 pounds overnight just in time for weigh-in. Yay!

I know my loss so far is well within the recommended range, but I've only lost 21 pounds in the almost 3 months I've been on the program...which is a bit frustrating when I see so many who've lost that much in 5-6 weeks. I'm not going to be discouraged too badly. I know I don't have as much to lose as most people...but I'm not even half way to goal and I wanted to be done by now! Grr...but then I'm thinking, wth am I complaining about?!? I've never lost 21 pounds in 11 weeks before! Okay, so my goal this week is to not be discouraged and to stay OP.

I've come to another decision too. I'm changing my goal weight to 130 instead of 120, at least for the MF plan. I'm starting to find the diet boring, too restrictive, and I'm kind of over it now. I was happy at 130 and I don't plan to stop losing weight. I just plan to transition off as planned and then possibly going on to South Beach phase 2. The last 10 pounds will come off slower and I'm okay with that. South Beach will be much, much cheaper and not as restrictive...HEL-LLOOO regular fat cheese!!! I told myself when I started MF that I could afford to do it for 3 months...and now that it comes to the end of 3 months and I'm still 25 pounds from goal, I'll extend it one month and then transition whether I'm at 130 or not. Which from my weight loss trend so far, is more than likely to be not, but I'm okay with that.

Hello my MF friends! I still have TOM, but its down to the very end, and I actually went dancing with my BF last night and felt almost human!

I did gain weight during the week before TOM and I'm really trying not to mind. Sigh.

I'm back, although I'm feeling very tempted by "ordinary food". My roommates are back from their trip, and her mother is staying with us too, and they are cooking elaborate meals... sigh.

But I am here, and I am not giving up. My next month of MF is due sometime this week and that will make me less crazed, I'm now obsessed with running out of MF food! LOL.

Hi everyone, at the risk of being boo'ed... here it goes. I researched the Medifast program like crazy and ended up going with the Wonderslim program due to cost. (Im a stay at home mom on a budget.) From everything I've read the program is the same and the meals are the same, its just less money, and they dont have the same support system online. The program was important for me, but the cost of was a factor. So, Im looking for a group like this, I mean I am doing the same 5 and 1... I love reading your posts. Your accomplishments and support for each other is so rad. (not trying to kiss it too much here) Waddaya say? It seems a great fit. By the way, what is a TOM or a OP? (Today is my first day ever at a forum place... jeze, I dont even know what its called, sorry, Im excited and nervous all at once! I'll stop now.)

It's cool with me. I'm new to boards and threads and all too. TOM is Time of Month and OP means On Plan. There is a sticky about anagrams under Forum Help. Sorry, I'm on my PDA right now so I can't post the link, but if you go to the page and click on 3FC on a Diet Weight Loss Community it will take you to the main topics board and you should be able to find it.

Wow, that is so interesting. I had never heard of Wonderslim, but after looking it up, it does seem almost exactly like a cheaper version of Medifast. Can I ask how you like the foods offered?

The more the merrier, so welcome Missygith!

I'm back OP today. My mind is in focus again...thank goodness. I hope everyone has a successful day.

I have this to say about Wonderslim - they use the same supplements that MRC uses, with a different brand on the box - and they also use aspartame as a sweetener, and more artificial flavors than Medifast does.

Depends on what you want. I switched to Medifast because I think I'm better nourished with them, but there might be individual packages that one could order and use instead.

Be wary! Read the labels! When I use up my old packets of MRC high nutrient supplements, as they call them, I don't seem to stay full as long. Plus the aspartame isn't good for me, and I know it.....

YMMV.

Oops...accidentally hit the post button!

You are most welcome to post here anytime!

I don't think the aspartame would be any worse than the high maltose corn syrup that's in some of the Medifast products (bars specifically) and Medifast also uses artificial flavors. There's definitely nothing "natural" about either of the products, though I do think MF may be slightly better in that category. Looking at the vitamins and minerals, it looks like Wonderslim doesn't have as much, but I often wondered at MF having 25%-35% of the RDV of many of the fat soluble vitamins anyway. I think that Wonderslim might actually be BETTER for you in this respect.

I think they are probably comparable and definitely Wonderslim is cheaper! Some of the reviews also say Wonderslim tastes better. You'll have to let us know how you like it.

yay, thanks for letting me post here! You guys get up way early, or go to bed really late... The price I paid was 215.00 for the 4 week starter kit. It was 239.00 and I used a 10% off online coupon, and free shipping. I havent gotten it yet, 'sposed to come in 2 days... and Im going nuts waiting! The program got a lot of great reviews and aspertame doesnt bother me. I agree LiLi, neither one is the picture of natural health. I take some real good supplements that I think will help with this and most of my L&G meals will be fish or seafood of some sort. (Seattle area native) Any way, I'll definetly let you know how the taste is. Oh, the other reason for going with WS price is that I still have to shop and cook for my husband and 2 boys. Any tips of how to do this without going crazy? I figure the boys can do alot of sandwiches and fresh fruit for summertime and my husband can definetly do with some more salads, dinner is the same only less for me... the food list at WS look the same basicly as MF, little bit of this, little bit of that, shakes, bars, puddings, chili, soup, hot coco, etc. Its all on the website. I look foward to sharing with you all.

WTG operator! Im so glad to see that this is so possible, you guys are rocken it! My first shipment is supposed to come today (Im staring at the door) But something funny happened these last few days. It goes like this... In anticipation of have to be restricted of what I eat for quite sometime and changing eating habits, I have been going crazy mad stuffing my piehole. Kentucky fried chicken, pizza, brautwarst, chocolate... Oddly, I have lost 2.5 pounds in 4 days. Every day I ate crap! I lounged around and didnt do any walking. Im baffled. I had started walking back in March every night, hard core and never saw the scale go down, only up. No lost inches either. I guess I'll just thank God for any weight loss and keep moving forward. (Thanks "Meet the Robinsons") Just weird to have it happen I guess... I'll let you know how the food ranks. Y'all have a great and sucessful day!
