Okay I'm back. Wanted to thank you all for the compliments on hubby, if he knew you thought he was cute, his head might expand, so I might and I might not tell him
Pooky, your probably at your Grandma's by now, but I wanted to let you know how sorry I am about your water problem. Hope things are better soon.
dottie, tell your hubby to enjoy his age, you can't fight it, so you might as well enjoy it. It's only a number anyway. And, by the way I missed Survivor last night, would you share with me what happened? Thanks!
Jiff glad to see you posting, hope work slows down for you soon. I was so worried about the two of you not posting, I called peachie yesterday. Told me you were both fine, just busy, our dear peachie is CRAFTING again,
she is making snowmen.
Speaking of peachie, while I was at the Braves game last night, had a great time, by the way. I decided to call peachie and let her hear the Tomahawk Chop chant over the phone since she loves the Braves so much but darn, she wasn't home, so I left the message on her answering machine. So tell me peachie do you have the Tomahawk Chop chant on your answering machine? LOL
We have an away game tonight, so I'm making cookies this morning. The kids are getting to the point where they request the type of cookies they want. "Gee the ones you made last week were, really good but could you make......." So I'm making the requested choc chip and choc choc.
Daughter forgot her socks the other day at practice and wore her tennies without socks and put two huge lblisters on her heels, they look terrible. She has been doing band practice barefoot for the past two practices. I don't know what we are going to do tonight. Anyone have any suggestions? I thought of putting a gauze padding on each heel and than covering with a LARGE band aid, and making sure she wore fairly thick socks. What do you think?.
Good morning Deb and all to come! I used to put those blisters on my feet, and the large gauze pads with band-aids helped a lot!
It's a late start around here this a.m. I had insomnia last night, and at 2 a.m. I finally rolled the last time. Didn't even vaguely here the alarm at 6. What a pain!
It's payday, that redeems this entire week in my eyes. Hope you all have a great day too!
Debkay!
I was washing the little guy's hair when your call came through on the machine in my bedroom. I laughed so hard the little guy splashed me...but it was still worth it! (did you get my e-mail btw?...I suspect that it (meaning mine) has some kinks to be worked out!
Morning Sherrie!!!!!
rushing getting the boys out but I am going to ww today...not pretty, I hope they are in the "don't tell me mode!"
made a cute witch yesterday! I am going to stick my old black Elizabeth Arden smock on her...cause she is so damn pretty!
Jenny, I don't have a scanner but I will check with my neighbor and see if she does!
WELL I'm posting from my bedroom, not the Embassy Suites. I had the car all packed and ready to go and went by the hospital to make sure everything was still all right. The doctor came in and said that everything he had tested was negative, and that meant that his weak heart was causing all his problem, and he was in the last stage of terminal heart failure and he wanted to have a family meeting with the whole family tomorrow (which would be today) I reminded him I was leaving to go out of town and he said that He couldn't tell me not to go, but that not to be supprised if my dad was gone when I got back. Needless to say, I called Alvin and told him the trip was off.
I called my sister in CT to come back in, and my othe sis & brother came to the hospital, and both my dad's sisters came to the hospital. A very stressful day. They moved him from intensive care back to a regular room, because they were not doing anything form him at this point. I left about 4:00 and went to work for a couple of hours (mainly because I just needed to get out of the hospital) and when I came back, he was awake and talking. A little while after that my brother got back with my sister from the airport and my dad tells here that the reason he was in the hospital was that they found out he had had a little virus!!!! Talk about denial!!!
Anyway, It's 6:45 Friday morning and I still don't have intrnet at work yet, so I'm going to try to catch up on the weeks worth of posting. I've whinned enought, let me see what's going on with the rest of you all.
Hello ladies. I am struggling with a very heavy tom day . So I skipped my exercise, I could hardly make it through my workout without a change, sorry to be so graphic. I am feeling so bad, cramps, headache, and no exercise. Drugs do not seem to be helping at the moment. At least I know things will get better.
Saturday is back to the Y and soccer, soccer, soccer. MIL and FIL are stopping by for an overnight visit tonight on their way to Naples FL. That is part of the reason I took yesterday off from work so I could "work" at home. I did a lot of great cleaning and feel really good about it.
Peachie, thanks for trying to send those pics, I am so curious about your snowmen. I just may want to make some. Love snowmen.
OH DebKay, dh is a cutie, I do find it funny as someone has mentioned that the treasurer is enjoying himself on a tropical beach!
Ruthie, good luck going drug free. Hope Lucy does not mess up the house too much with muddy paws.
Jiff, good to hear from you. You know this is a great to "purge your stress" if you feel the need.
Ageoldie, prayers and hugs to you, I hope for the best for your dear dad.
Goodforme, I was up at 1:30, at least I was able to get back to sleep.
Aw, Barb - I'll be thinking of you and praying for you and yours over the next few days. It sounds like you have a very upfront doctor which is a real help.
Debkay, you are nuts! At least your message blasted Peachie out of hiding. Crafting is an addiction.
I should have joined the insomniacs in here this morning. I woke at 3 and did not get back until 5:45 - just in time for the 6:15 Dog Alarm which is sort of a whine from downstairs.
This morning Lucy and I are off to Obedience Training again. I'm not sure if this will ever end with this bratty furry. She is nearly a year old now and seems to still think life is a big party! Hershey thinks so too sometimes but does know when to settle down. This class is "advanced" obedience so maybe Lucy will get serious! If that *****y Drawers woman is in this class, I will really have to grit my teeth. The instructor is not happy about my doing the class so soon after the operation but she still took my registration fee. I plan to wear my wrist brace on the right hand so she will feel better. It also warns me not to stress that hand.
Never mind! I am off pain killers, can now tie my shoes, turn the ignition key in the car, fasten my seat belt myself and slice tomatoes. Onions soon! Hey, that's probably why I did not sleep like a log last night - no drugs!
Gotta go and gas up the car and brush Lucy a bit so she at least looks like a show dog! The cut is still not completely done. Her head was last and we ran out of time - her head looks huge - like a lion head on a lamb!
Barb~~~I am so sad to hear the update on your Dad.I will keep him and your family in my prayers. It sounds like he is very stubborn and that may be in his favor
Deb~~I'm sure you enjoyed the game last night, especially when Javiar hit the home run!!! I think that today is going to be cooler
Pooky~~I hope that your well is back to normal soon, so you and hubby can get back to practicing
Peach~~~Good to know that you and your sis are still alive.
Jenny~~~I feel for ya, girl. The older i get, the weirder TOM gets.
Sherrie~~~Hooray for paydays
Ruth~~~Good luck in class today and be careful of your hand, that's an order!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not sure what today holds . Exercise first, then either inside cleaning or puttering in the yard/pool area.
Everybody have a wonderful day
Good morning, chicks! Today is starting off nice. I had a smoothie and some decaf coffee. Now I better get moving fast or I will be late for work again! Had some yummy chicken with alfredo sauce last night and some squash souffle. I will be bringing leftovers to work today for lunch. I better pack a snack or I might get tempted. I don't know if I should do 'planned days off' or not. It is torture getting back on track sometimes.
Well good morning chicks--thought I wasn't going to make it in here but I'm using my uncle's computer (which has a ROTTEN! mouse!)
Well, I hear from dh that all is well on the water front (no pun intended) and he'll be joining me tomorrow morning.
As for his absence--not to worry, I took a pg test this morning and it was neg and not half an hour later--dum dum dum...TOM came--but on it's own! OK, you're thinking "why is she excited about TOM?" but I have to say that for the last 4 months I have had to take meds to bring on a period. I called my OB this morning with the bad/good news and I'll be paying him a visit next week.
Spent the morning cleaning my gran's house top to bottom since we are expecting--get this--13 little ones under the age of 5! Boy oh boy I am also getting my puppy today--I am so excited. I bought a doggie bed (although I would really like one of yours Sil!) and puppy food and I can't wait to get the little wiggler here!
So right now I have a few minutes rest and then I'm off to do more cleaning. I'll be back probably late Sunday night so I'll givce you the low down on Monday morning, OK?
Somehow I've lost my TOM. I know it's not due to being preggers, DH has been "snipped". Is it this WOE? I guess it will come back eventually, last month it was 38 days between. I shouldn't complain, it's just hard to deal with the "when"?
Barb - Sending prayers and good thoughts out for your family.
ROFLMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Someone stole your TOM, dyan? It was undoubtedly me. Anyone else missing theirs? I don't miss mine a bit, and I've had enough of it lately to cover all you chicks and then some!
Barb, big huge hug coming your way. It is so difficult! I'm praying for you and your family.
Off to get dd from babysitter, then to break the bad news. She's starting daycare next week, for a lot of reasons. There will be much crying and moaning from the Aunt who's keeping her now. Anyway, I just have to be strong! I can do this. I think. Can't I?
Oh, Jiff, you sound as if you're on your last nerve. I wish you the best of luck with the J&J people. Who needs all that stress in their life?
Barb, I'm so sorry about your Dad. Even if he lingers on for much longer than the doctor predicted, you wouldn't have been able to relax and enjoy yourself if you went away. Hang in there.
Pooky, sorry about your water difficulties and the neg test but it sounds as if things are turning around for you. Who knows, this time next month you could have a whole different result. Keeping all my appendages crossed.
Ruth, love your doggy stories. It sounds like Lucy has energy to spare. Maybe you should rent a local kid to keep her exercised (and pooped out) Glad your wrist is doing so well. I'm really looking forward to your visit in November.
Well, here's my news. After totally blowing it last night (chocolate frosting mixed with hulled sunflower seeds Yeah, I can't belive I did that either) I got on the scale this morning for my usual Friday WI and I was DOWN THREE WHOLE POUNDS!!! Ta DAH! It's been a long, difficult struggle but other than last night's minor side-step (I think it was my evil twin and not me ) I have been totally OP this past week. Oh, what a marvelous feeling. I won't be tempted to stray for a very long time now. So, in six weeks of Fat Flushing, I've lost 8 lb. Not earth shattering but I'm still very pleased. The best part is having my clothes hanging much looser than an 8 lb loss would generally warrant.
Have a nice weekend, Chickies.
