I've looked at the 100 workout too, Krampus. I may start it in once I finish my current DB cycle. How many times per week do you do it?

Ok, ICU--we're only 2 pounds apart (I'm 154). I've been fighting the plan today. Let's DO THIS!

Haha I did the 100 workout once and haven't done it again since. Legs were super sore from the squats. Still feeling the burn. Maybe I will do it again today since I have done PRACTICALLY ZERO CARDIO FOR A WEEK.

Not going well on the "healthy living" front here, weight is going in the wrong direction. At this rate I'm going to weigh the same as I did a year ago when I go home. Unacceptable.

Attempting to move in the right direction again. 1458 cals yesterday. Trying to keep it to 1400 or so. Still above my red line, but not by much. Resisting the cake that is sitting in the cubicle next to me.

Allison - Done deal! I know I'll behave better if I have to come back and tell you about it. I missed my intended plan yesterday by one beer - something I convinced myself I "needed." What I really needed was to go outside and run. With it being 92 degrees, I should probably think about the treadmill in the basement instead. We are having AWFUL big numbers of deerflies this year, and they are so aggressive! I walked down to the mailbox and had them banging off my head - and if you don't swat, they BITE!!

I've been good so far today with food. I'm trying "conscious control" as a last-ditch effort before returning to the food journal.

ICU~are deer flies like horse flies? They really bite, too. And your temperatures and humidity have got to make it difficult to get out to exercise. It's hot here, but my house is air conditioned. So why do I keep coming up with excuses for not using my treadmill or elliptical? Tomorrow should be the day I get back on there.

I'll do a little confession of my own. I set out each morning to be good, and am good until I get home. Then temptation overwhelms me. Had a bit too much wine last night AND I ate twice what I had planned. No change in the weight, thank goodness, but I've got to stop doing this to myself.

Allison, those are my "red" hours too! I think it's the relief of arriving home after a full day, and thinking we deserve a treat? I mindfully ate half a chicken breast and a huge homegrown lettuce salad, and then ... a reasonable single serving of ice cream. It's been a good day. Now- I challenge both of us to step onto our exercise devices, for a mere 10 minutes, before the end of the day Thursday. I double-dog dare ya!

Shannon and Jessica - way to work it!

Krampus, in Nature, **** happens. It's not right or wrong; it just happens. Don't get down on yourself, push on some more! You can do this - heck, you already have! Sometimes the "groove" is more elusive than it seems like it should be - I've been screwing around with 10-15 pounds I haven't finished losing, for more than a year and a half.

I'll let you know if I complied!

So far, I'm doing okay during my red hours. I came home, ate two pistachios and did pour a glass of wine. I had to stop at the grocery store as I was planning on fish tacos for dinner and forgot to buy fish! I caved and bought three teeny-tiny cartons of Caio Bella gelatto. I imagine they're each 1/2 cup in size. I bought a big carton of ice cream for DH and DS to share while I eat mine. Of course, it'll probably take me two weeks to eat these three little cartons--I just don't "need" desserts, but I've been wanting to try this brand.

This is probably going to look really weird to you, like a joke product, but it is not. It really works. I swear by it, totally. I put this on my baseball cap when trail running in the woods at the nature center near my mother's house & got barely any bites at all. In fact, I thought I'd had a deerfly-free day until I heard some buzzing. Then I looked and, wow! The only drawback is that removing the strip with the flies attached to it when you're done is vaguely disgusting.

I'd rather use repellant than have to deal with removing a sticky strip covered with dying flies... But we all have to do what we have to do...

What I dislike about deer flies etc. is that their mouthparts are like a can opener! They leave a little triangular punch out of your skin. Gosh!

I did it! I got up and got myself on the elliptical this morning. I went a mile (only--I usually do two) in about 13 minutes. I'll work back to my 2 miles in 20 minutes.
